The breakfast was terrific, and the view from the breakfast terrace was exceptional. The breakfast offerings (while not extensive) were fresh and prepared to order.

The biggest challenge were the steps up to the lobby. I realized that there would be steps going up to the terrace, but had no idea that it would be such a long steep climb to the lobby.

Staff and location

Loud music till 3:30am and the hotel had a party on the rood top that went on till 12:30am. So the last night we couldn't seat on the rooftop and enjoy the evening view of the harbor. Don't stay here on a weekend.

Absolutely adorable little spot in Hydra that is central with lovely unique rooms. The staff was lovely, and you almost feel like a home stay, very casual and comfortable place. Amazing cosy beds and a gentle breeze through the window, just a delight. The bathrooms could do with a little renovating but that’s just being picky and I didn’t mind the island life!

I saw some reviews about the noise but we were right on top of the bar and it didn’t bother us at all! Actually it was perfect ambience and the insulation on the windows was stellar. There is a lot of stairs though so be mindful not to bring too much luggage and practice a little cardio before hand! 😄

Beautiful facility in the midst of Hydra! Once you make it up the stairs the rooms are tastefully appointed and comfortable. The rooftop restaurant serves the best breakfast we had while in Greece with killer views of the island. Our host, Julietta, was welcoming and offered tips for dinner dining. We highly recommend Duskos Port House!

After a day of touring the island, the stairs test your endurance!

Fabulous location and Ioanna was a superb hostess. Super helpful and suggested a perfect itinerary for our 2 day stay. Great restaurant recommendations. The view from our room out to the port was gorgeous and beautiful to wake up to the comings and going of the port.

Bathroom needs floor and shower to be painted and resealed. Not a great bathroom for the price. It let the rest of the room down. Breakfast was adequate but very ordinary and could be so much better without too much more effort. Great coffee!

Breakfast was OK, everything else was great. Staff all super friendly, location can’t get any better than it is. It’s right in the middle of everything, right on the water overlooking the little harbor. Our room was huge and very comfortable with a great view of the harbor.

The WiFi was good when it worked, but we had several periods when it was so slow that it was not really useable.

The perfect location overlooking the harbour of Hydra. Our room was everything we could have asked for. All staff were kind and helpful, particularly Julietta, who provided much information and assisted with our bookings.

Additional drawer space for clothes would assist, particularly for longer stays.

Excellent location with amazing views over the port. Breakfast on a terrace roof again with fantastic views. Essentially you won't find a better located place to stay on Hydra.

Items weren't refreshed. So a water bottle only provided on the first day but no matter as there was a shop downstairs. However coffee pods were only provided on the first 2 days and no shampoo on the last. There is a bar next door which played loud music until very late Friday/Saturday.

Location was excellent. On the main street overlooking the port. We would open the shutters & face the window to watch the ships every morning & night. The manager, Julietta, went above & beyond to make us comfortable. Was hands on every day. Visited the guests daily at breakfast time on the lovely rooftop to inquire if we were satisfied with everything. They are fortunate to have someone like her. The breakfast was also great with plenty of choices from the bkfst menu

It was a great stay with a small exception of loud music from the Cafe below, but the manager spoke to the Cafe owner & they lowered the volume for the remainder of our stay.

Super friendly host Ioanna who shared local tips and offered exceptional customer service at all times. We were there celebrating our upcoming wedding and loved Douskos house so much. Our room had plenty of space and the accomodation is in a perfect spot on the harbour. Really appreciated the complimentary wine in our room too

The noise from the club next door however noting this cannot be controlled from Douskos and they did provide earplugs
