The room was lovely, very comfortable bed, clean bathroom etc. Strange decision to put the kitchen on the balcony, as there is such a huge problem with mosquitoes it became uncomfortable to cook/eat outside, not to mention the hygiene with the flurry of cats that were always hanging around, climbing on tables etc. The facilities were lovely, staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the issue with no cover of any kind for our mobiles, not controlled by the hotel I know, but it was a bit of a pain. The location was great, so close to the town and the beach where we got to see all the set of Death in Paradise. If you like this programme you should visit between May-Oct to see them film it seems....

I would have loved more control over keeping mosquitoes out of the room. Phone coverage on site would have been great. A mosquito net perhaps at the edge of the balcony would have been ideal then we could have used the balcony kitchens with no fear of being eaten alive and in comfort...

The property is low-key but thoughtfully designed with everything you could need. Everything was well maintained, the staff was delightful, super friendly and always professional and available but never intrusive. The rooms were tastefully decorated with kitchens that functioned perfectly and all new bathroom fixtures.

Can’t think of anything. It might be nice if they supplied pool and beach towels.

We had a great view from our room. Balcony and outdoor kitchen excellent. Bed was mega comfy! Airco was quiet and efficient. Swimming pool clean and not too far from our room. The staff were really helpful and we were so pleased that they could speak English as we had been struggling for 2 weeks in Guadeloupe!! Very close to a lovely beach and a short walk to a petrol station/shop.

When I booked I had no idea that I had only booked "habitation" and we were informed that when our toilet roll and toiletries ran out thay wouldn't be replenished. Also, we were only entitled to one clean during our stay. We had to get a car and drive to a supermarket and I had to take our rubbish out everyday. The restaurant and bar opening hours are very limited and there isn't much closeby for lunch or snacks. On the whole it was very expensive for the facilities/service provided. A shuttle bus service into the town would have been very welcome as we only had a car for one day so we walked (it's quite far) because there are no public buses. Also, pool towels would have been a nice addition.

The hotel area and apartments slope into the hillside, far enough away from the main road. When you arrive along the road to the hotel, huge palm trees and an enormous Kapok tree (I believe) line the road. After entering, there are two parking areas, I never had any problems finding a free spot. The hotel area has a lot of trees and plants, and especially near the reception you can often see hummingbirds. Staff was always welcoming and super helpful, I got some good advice for snorkeling at Petite Anse and also booked two excursions while I stayed in hotel, which I really enjoyed. I can really recommend the restaurant, I had dinner four times and was never disappointed. The Grand Anse beach is a truly beautiful and calm beach, large enough that it never felt crowded, and very good for swimming or sunbathing. It is about five minute walking time to the beach from the hotel area. There are also restaurants and a boutique (although, it was almost always closed when I visited the beach). Keep in mind that the restaurants close in the afternoon.

My room was rather dark, due to the filters on the window glass. I assume, these have been installed to avoid the room heating up too much, which I can understand, but the lamps in the room are not bright enough and only lit the room poorly (this is not the case for the bathroom, which has bright lighting).

Comfortable bed, good shower which unfortunately broke, but was immediately repaired.

Room on the small side, so with big cases for a short stay difficult to access clothes etc Small fridge, made smaller cos no restraint for bottles in door. Parking quite a trek to room. Confusion at reception re opening hours for dinner Enjoyable dinner but menu limited. Breakfast, both mornings buffet ran out of various items including coffee, needs extra staff to supervise and avoid shortages

The proximity to the beach and Deshaies. There was a useful small store at the nearby service station for basic essentials. Being able to prepare meals etc on the terrace - the kitchenette was well equipped. The outlook was pleasant and the grounds very attractive and well maintained. The staff were very pleasant & accommodating, rubbish was collected daily.

There was only one chair in the room - a second one would be useful, especially if weather didn’t permit sitting outside. The breakfast was quite expensive, so we catered for ourselves. The microwave was situated too high and therefore considered dangerous. There was no chest of drawers, which would be very useful, and only a small shelf beside the bed - a cabinet would be preferable.

A great hotel close to Grande Anse. Our room was clean and comfy with all we needed for a four night stay. There was plenty of parking. The pool was clean and never over busy during our stay. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and both were good.

Just to be aware that some rooms require a climb up a steep hill. We noticed that if we came later to breakfast that the choice became more limited so you needed to ask.

Excellent location very close to Guadeloupe top beach. The rooms are airy and comfortable, ours was quite high up with a beautiful view over the gardens. Staff was helpful and very friendly

No warning about the restaurant being closed and no options for catering on location. We didn’t have a car and had to taxi to the closest village for food each time

Extremely helpful and friendly staff, and when we had to resolve some unexpected circumstances they were quick to assist with arranging taxis and communicating with professional services on our behalf. The appartment was perfect with a small plunge pool an, amazing view and having the self-catering facility allowed us to be flexible about eating out. Because we were at the top of the hill our appartment was very private. On site swimming pool was good. The hotel is located close to Deshaies and some wonderful beaches.

Access was by walking up a very steep hill. It was possible to drive up most of the way, but due to the steepness manœuvring the car felt initially difficult, although once I became familiar with the space it was easier.

The property village has recently been refurbished and looks like new. The location is great as you can walk to the main beach in 5 minutes. The staff is very polite and helpful.

There was a shortage of car parking spaces, especially when you return in the evening.
