My first stay was in 2017 my father and brother live in Mayarlak which is a 5 minute drive the hotel has everything you can ask for the staff are friendly very welcoming. I then returned in 2019 and then again in 2022 and now July 2024. I would highly recommend Gotthard hotel I would like to thank Fábián Fanni who has arranged my taxis to see my father you all have gone above and beyond to make my stay an absolute joy. There isn’t any everyday was perfect

Great selection and quality of food during breakfast and dinner. Just walk over to the spa/wellness. Many recreational options to choose from (rocketball, table tennis, bike rental etc) Charming, relaxing atmosphere to really spend time with family. Ideal to explore the surroundigs, hiking options. We will definitely come back

I enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. Very good food much better than I expected. Well done. This hotel has a good chef.

We did enjoy the use of our balcony but the hinge needs to be replaced. That’s all . We liked our room fo the one night we were there. I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

Our room looked over the park on one side; lovely. The room was huge, with separate toilet, and a large bathroom with bath and shower. The staff in the dining area were really hard-working and efficient. Plenty of options for buffet breakfast and dinner. Our bicycles were stored safely in a downstairs locked room. Air conditioning cooled the room nicely. Excellent value for money.

This was an exceptionally satisfying stay. Very nice room, good and quiet A/C, great food, very courteous staff. I recommend it very highly.

Food offered in the buffet (breakfast and dinner) was always very pleasant, there were many options to choose from and it was easy to find something that was very good, during the day you could get free non alcoholic beverages including coffee. The location is very nice, easy access to the Őrség region and also Austria. The thermal bath is easily accessible and is a pleasant experience. The bar staff and waiters were always friendly and nice.

The mattress of the bed was very good but the pillows were so slim that by the 4th day of our stay we started feeling pain in our necks. Also what we don't understand (and this applies to many other hotels in general) is that if dinner is a buffet why aren't non alcoholic drinks included in the price, why do we have to pay extra for a bottle of water? Alcoholic beverages to be charged extra makes sense but if the non alcoholic ones are available throughout the day why close them up during dinner and ask extra price for it? The elevator usage was not explained and it isn't self explanatory when facing the doors (no sign shows where you need to hold your keycard) took us few days to figure it out.

Young staff who dont understand english.

Food was perfect. Staff is pleasant. The fact that you can do late check-in at 11 AM and enjoy the wellness in the morning is great!!! Beds are comfortable and rooms are quiet.

Only staff at the reception desk spoke English. No one else knew English!? That is unacceptable at the 4* hotel. We managed to communicate with them in German, but my German is very weak, so we struggled a bit. Outside pool was open, but water was freezing cold in it. Air temperature inside and water temperature in inside large pool was colder than pleasant. There were 15 unbred teenager boys at the pool, that were splashing, yelling, jumping, yelling, yelling, screaming and disturbing everyone around, Although there were pool staff around, they were not saying anything to them. They ruined wellness experience to me and everyone else. If this happens again on my next visit, I will stop visiting this hotel. Wellness area closes at 7.30-7.35, not at 8 PM as advertised. It was too warm in the room and central AC was not cooling, it was just recirculating normal temperature air.

Huge rooms with nice balcony view. Very good food

Staff is not nice if you are not Austrian guest. We asked to book a Taxi with card payment. They sent a private car, cash only and no possibility to get a receipt.
