Great location, superb staff. The front desk hostess went out of her way to help us with dinner reservations, advice on goi g to see the puffins, and even found a space heater for us to use when our radiator didn’t work. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent.

One point off for the shower. It is tiny, with a wand that you could not adjust above chest height, a rain shower fixture, and a tiny, tiny stall with a curtain. If you don’t want to get your hair wet, you either huddle in the corner, use the wand and try not to spray the whole bathroom (admittedly a USA newbie with these) or get close to the curtain which then plasters against your wet skin. Boo to whoever designed this shower!

The hospitality of the staff is sublime! The rooms are of comfortable size, with nice beds. You can prepare a cup of coffee or tea in the room, which is a nice addition. Enough storing space as well! The bathroom is large, with enough light. Plenty of towels, and best measurements of the towels 👌

We stayed at Fosshotel 3 years ago and mentioned some things to maybe be altered. The main thing is that the shower curtain is really a frustrating thing, It makes the shower so small 🙁 Also you really have to watch your steps, going into the bathroom. There is a little edge which you can easily hurt yourself. Especially during night time when not fully awake 🫣

The room was really clean and the shower was roomy. Bed was so comfortable. Had a fridge which is a nice bonus on a road trip with perishable items. The breakfast buffet in the morning was great....it had all the things. The staff at the front desk were sincerely friendly and helpful.

I made a reservation at the restaurant for Aug 28 but was told on arrival it was closed. I thought it would be courteous to let me know since there was only one other restaurant open in town that day. (On the other hand, we discovered Stúkuhúsið cafe, which is much more than a cafe and full of charming old character....had the best oven-baked pistachio crusted cod dinner with a nice glass of white wine there.)

Room was a typical hotel chain room. Nothing fancy but it was clean.

Shower was TINY and they need to get a better shower curtain. It would wrap itself around you while you were trying to shower. Even the staff at the front desk said it was an issue. Tried to get a 2nd floor room as our room was right in front of the parking lot. We were told there was no availability but when looking on line late into the evening there were still rooms to let.

Great location to explore the southern part of the Westfjords. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room had a great view of a waterfall. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection for a great start to the day. Had dinner twice at the hotel restaurant, as there aren’t too many other options around. Food was super delicious.

The shower curtain clings to you while taking a shower. Not very pleasant.

It was a nice hotel with large rooms/bathrooms and centrally located for walking around the small town. Restaurant close by had very good food. Desk staff very friendly and knowledgeable. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on the food. Gas station next door has groceries and an actual proper restaurant!

Easy to find and right opposite the bay. Lots of parking. Good breakfast. Had a meal one night which was great and nice waiters. Good welcome at reception. A bakery just around the corner which sold rolls and provisions and pieces of pizza too. Most people visited the bird cliffs I expect judging from all the dusty cars. Worth the drive there and last day we visited the famous inland waterfalls at Dynjandi………which were amazing and loos there. Only signposted 2hen nearly there but you get an awesome view of interior and #nowline. Really good.

No tea provided in room.

Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were excellent. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Martin (server in restaurant) was especially good and we really enjoyed talking to him. Everything was clean and modern.

Price was extraordinarily high even for Iceland, and especially given there was nothing "luxe" about the room or facilities. A similar room at a similar hotel in downtown Isafjordur, where we stayed next on our trip in Westfjords, was slightly more than HALF the price of Fosshotel Westfjords!

Good breakfast, friendly staff, clean room and huge enough for two suitcases. Our room had a great sea view. We would recommend it, if you wann to visit Latrabjarg and Raudisandur. It is quite close

Location and beds are comfortable! Very clean and efficient.

Bedside charging points located UNDER the desks and you have to move the small bedside desks to access them. Breakfast not restocked quick enough, leaving empty containers. Coffee machine was broken. Scrambled egg is overcooked (?) to the point it has a hard “shell” and tasted almost like a cake? Quality of breakfast isn’t up to par to other Foss Hotel we went to (near Diamond Beach) which was excellent.
