The property is suitable, the location is good, and the highlight is the staff, which was terrific. The staff went out of their way to serve us our requirements and were very accommodating to all our requests, sometimes doing more than our expectations.

The property's price was very high, probably due to peak season, but it should have been lower based on the amenities available. The family room description states balcony, while there is no balcony or even a good view from the room. The sole reason for me to book this hotel was the valley view shown in the booking website and it would be better that the hotel clearly states in the description which room has view and which room does not.

Sinclairs Gangtok made our stay in Sikkim wonderful. We had previously tried another hotel in Gangtok, but Sinclairs was the clear winner. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable and the WiFi was very stable, which was important for us as we were working. We took a Premier Room which offered a small balcony with an incredible view of the valley, I spent a lot of time appreciating the view from here. The chefs here are also great, we had breakfast and dinner here several times and the food was delicious and to a very high quality each time. However, the thing that really brings this hotel to the top level is the staff, who are all wonderfully friendly and helpful and kind. I would like to especially thank Sujata who always brought us a smile to start and end the day and her lovely team members Mashal, Bishal, Sugen, Ashwin, Prashanto and Amir - thank you for making our stay in Gangtok such a lovely memory!

The chef was very courteous and enthusiastic and did everything to help us with the food requirements as we were traveling with 2 small kids. Rahul from the front desk was a man of exceptional hospitality and he went beyond his way to help us with our needs related to travel, accommodation and every possible thing (even little personalisations) to make our stay the best !! I think he deserves a promotion and is an able man who can be at the helm of the hospitality division.

The buffet spread could be a bit more varied. Even though the chef did come to each and every table to ensure that the guests were getting their ample attention and met all their necessities. The facility could have a shuttle to help the guests commute to the MG Road market as the availability of taxis can be troublesome at times.

location and views

one of our rooms didn’t have the slippers till we requested for them. the hand towels were given to us only after request. we expected hand towels to be given when house keeping came to clean the room.

The best asset of the facility is its Staff, who are so courteous, caring, responsive & ever smiling. Food is excellent, more so, the Restaurant is always prepared to cater to your taste buds.
