Our stay at Nettle & Fern Hotel in Gangtok, Sikkim, was absolutely perfect! The hotel offers clean, spacious rooms equipped with all modern amenities, providing the utmost comfort. The highlight was waking up to the mesmerizing view of the majestic Kanchenjunga mountains right from our room – a sight that left us in awe every morning. Nettle & Fern is an excellent hotel with an in-house restaurant. It is centrally located in a quiet area and a 25 minute walk from MG Marg. There is a taxi stand right outside and a cafe next door. The room was clean, comfortable and cosy; breakfast was basic but good. The staff are courteous, kind and helpful, especially Dhiren, Rishi and Binod.

Rooms could do with proper dusting. Food quality at the restaurant must be improved.

The hospitality of the staff was exceptional. They were incredibly courteous and attentive, ensuring everything was taken care of. The room was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with most of the essential amenities. What truly stood out was their thoughtful gesture of packing complimentary breakfast for us, as we had an early 6 AM checkout—a service that many hotels don't typically provide. This level of care and consideration makes it a place I would highly recommend.

We loved the view from the terrace as well as the room size. The facilities provided in the room is quite good. Toiletries were provided. The rooms were clean. The food was good as well. Staffs were helpful.

A few things that I did not like: The wifi network was slower than my mobile network. Had to call two three times to order food as the Restaurant never picked up. Most of the plug points did not work. The hair dryer did not work as well.

Highly recommend Nettle and Fern! We had an amazing stay here! Rooms were very clean and comfortable with good hot water in the shower! Staff were very kind and helpful! Breakfast buffet was really good too - coffee/tea, omelette, toast, and Indian breakfast options too! We were here during Diwali and the hotel staff involved us in the celebrations and made for an extra special stay. Thanks!

The bed was a little hard.

Spic Clean Hotel with Exceptionally Curtious and helpful Staff. Special Thanks to Mr. Bishal Gurung for all his help and inputs towards planning of trip and arranging for good travel support. We stayed in suite room with exceptional mountain / valley view. Room decor, space and everything else was perfect. Bathroom, bit small but with modern Fittings and everything working perfectly and nice warm water. Food in the restaurant is very good, Breakfast though may be a small spread is sufficient and very well prepared. Stuff of their bakery shop is so delicious. All other team members like Ms. Begin a, Mr. Dhiren and entire team is always smiling & welcoming. Overall a great experience.

Heating plates in the room, breakfast spread, service of the staff, provided breakfast for leaving early morning, location - saved us plenty of money and most cab drivers live nearby, closeness to mg road but not crowded even during Christmas

Hospitality and super clean room and breakfast. We are group of 5 people.we are like everything .we are missed that place so much.

Own car parking is difficult in Sikkim not only this property.

The Crew was really helpful. We could book great tours straight at the hotel and also further travel arrangements were organized. I would recommend the local tour which takes you to Ranka Monastery and also the Tsomgo Lake Tour. Here you need a special permit which the hotel also took care of. The rooms were exactly like in the photos. We also booked the rooms with Mountain View which I can highly recommend! The sunset view was just stunning. We traveled India for two weeks and the Nettle and Fern was definitely a highlight!

The Tours had to be payed in cash. This would be more comfortable if it would also be able to just pay it together with the hotel bill. But just a minor issue. A SBI ATM is directly nextdoor.

You feel welcome right after stepping in the hotel. Mr. Dhiren Chetry and his staff have provided exceptional hospitality.Rooms are well maintained with "Heating Panels" on the walls with provides the much needed warmth in the cold temp* of Gangtok. Food is good with options for North,East as well as South cuisine.Make sure to sit beside the window of the restaurant while having your meals.:) **It would be much appreciated if we can get melted butter along with toast.** For the money we have been charged this hotel has surpassed our expectation!!!.We ( me and my wife) would like to thank Treebo Trend The Nettle And Fern Hotel Gangtok for the amazing experience we have had.

If you are a late sleeper like me who eats his dinner after watching a a movie with a drink or two;forget it. Dinners served at or before 9:30 pm. So if you are a " early to bed ,early to rise" guy/gal this hotel won't disappoint you.
