I had booked a stay at a FabHotels property two days before my arrival through Booking.com. The booking was confirmed, and it clearly mentioned "Pay at Property." However, a day before my check-in, I received a message from FabHotels via Booking.com asking me to make a partial or full payment—otherwise, my booking would be canceled. Within 40 minutes, I responded, asking for a payment link since none was provided. I received no reply. I then reached out to both Booking.com and FabHotels, only to find out that my reservation had already been canceled - even though it still showed as "Confirmed" on Booking.com. When I called FabHotels customer support to request an official email confirmation of the cancellation, they outright refused, saying they had informed Booking.com and that I would only be notified once Booking.com checked their email. What kind of system is this? Had I not called customer support myself, I wouldn’t have even known my booking was canceled! No email from FabHotels, no email from Booking.com - just a complete lack of communication. In the end, I had to scramble to book another place last minute, which ended up being more expensive. This was an extremely frustrating experience, and I will never book with FabHotels again. Total disaster.
