We had an absolutely incredible stay at Gypsy Monkey Hostel in Jaipur, and I just have to share how wonderful it was! From the moment we arrived, all the staff and managers were fantastic—they truly go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and taken care of. The food is amazing, with delicious options at very reasonable prices that kept us coming back for more. One of the highlights was getting offered a spot in a Bollywood film, which was such a fun and unexpected adventure! We even felt comfortable leaving our teenage son in his private room while we explored, knowing the staff would check in and make sure he was okay—they’re that reliable and thoughtful. I cannot recommend this accommodation enough; it’s hands-down one of the best places we’ve stayed. Plus, their fantastic rooftop area is perfect for chilling with food, drinks, and a refreshing pool to beat the heat. If you’re heading to Jaipur, do yourself a favor and book here—you won’t regret it!

Very nice roof terrace with delicious and affordable food in generous portions. The room was spacious. The atmosphere in the hostel was good. We spent New Year's Eve there and there was a party on the roof.

The hotel is close to a major road where many buses arrive and depart from the city. This goes on day and night and it can be quite noisy at night due to the honking of the buses.

The accomodation was exactly what we were expecting. The room was ok, the bed was comfortable, and both the room and the bathroom was overall clean. The people at the hostel were really friendly and helpful, and the view from the roof is just amazing. The hostel's location is very good, it was easy to get to places.

A couple of shelves/hangers would have been useful so we can unpack more conveniently, but this is only our personal preference. It would also be useful to have a mop in the bathrooms as there is no separate tray for the shower. But these were really minor things and did not disturb us too much.

We had an amazing stay in Gypsy Monkey. It was very hot at the time, so during the day we could chill by the pool. Our room was clean and spacious. Young staff didn’t understand much English, but there was a manager who was very helpful and could speak very good English.

The only thing we didn’t like was tuktuk driver (they offer free railway pickup which is great) but he was pushing us to ride with him every time we were going out. He was offering us a city tour etc, which is really kind, but not our vibe. We just prefer to be on our own in uber.

Krishna, was incredibly helpful and shared valuable tips for exploring the area. His friendliness made me feel right at home. Thank you Krishna!! The rooftop restaurant is a highlight, with Vishnu and Knushi providing excellent service. While their English skills may not be perfect, their willingness to go above and beyond made dining there a pleasure. They are super cool guys! We also had the chance to explore Jaipur with Imran, who tailored our day based on our interests. He drove us around and shared fascinating historical facts, making our experience even more enriching. If you're not in the mood for market visits, he's totally accommodating. The rooms were comfortable, complete with hot water showers, making it a great place to relax after a day of exploration. Overall, Gypsy Monkey is a lovely hostel to spend a few days, and I highly recommend it!

Our stay at the Gypsy Monkey Hotel exceeded our expectations. The rooms were clean, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They stored our luggage securely in the storeroom and returned it promptly upon our return. The staff went above and beyond by providing us with a map of the city, highlighting tourist destinations, famous local foods, and desserts to try. Their thoughtful recommendations and guidance made our trip truly memorable.

One frustrating aspect of our experience was the free pickup from the railway station to the hotel. While the gesture was appreciated, the driver persistently pressured us to book him for additional trips, which became quite bothersome. When I inquired about a ride back to the airport, he quoted ₹500, even though Uber rates started at ₹275. He spent over 20 minutes trying to convince me, wasting my time. The hotel should either reconsider offering this free ride or ensure that drivers adhere to clear guidelines, refraining from pressuring guests for extra services.

Gypsy Monkey was very accommodating. Though I arrived a bit early, they made alternate arrangements and it was good. Most importantly, am grateful to Gypsy Monkey for one thing.. My kid had a high fever in the night and it was too cold outside.. plus raining too.. They helped me take him to a Doctor and attend to him on time.

Look at Google Maps. There is a big road, and a smaller road that cuts in the middle of the big road. The smaller road leads to the hotel. First, road was being laid in the smaller road to the hotel, that gave us some trouble (we were just unlucky). Next, you can get into the big road through two ways. - One from Station road/Sindhi Camp metro. Dirty. Dont use this. - Another from the other side of the big road. This looks much better. Use this side to get into the big road, if possible. Look at google maps. You will understand what I mean.

The location of Gypsy Monkey is extremely convenient, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The room was good for the price, as it’s quite budget-friendly, yet comfortable. The staff was very polite and welcoming, adding to the positive experience. The rooftop offers a stunning view, which we thoroughly enjoyed during our stay. Overall, we were very satisfied with our two days here and would recommend it to anyone looking for affordable yet enjoyable accommodation.

We had one of best stay at Gypsy Monkey. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating, offering us a room with a clean bathroom and ensuring proper arrangements for our stay. The food was excellent—well-prepared and justified in quality. The seating arrangements provided great views, making our meals even more enjoyable. A special mention goes to Jayant bhaiya and Krishna bhaiya for his outstanding hospitality. He ensured we were all very comfortable and promptly addressed any complaints or concerns with strict action. Overall, we deeply appreciate the team's efforts and recommend this hotel for its exceptional service.

I was supposed to check in at 11 AM. But, I had arrived at 5:30 AM. The management went out of the way to accommodate me. They had provided a bed to rest till 8:30 AM in the basement. Then, they did an early check-in for me at 8:30 AM. All without any extra charges. They also kept my belongings free of cost till my train time (around 9:30 PM) even after I checked out at 11 AM. I had spent travelling around Jaipur without the hassle of carrying any heavy luggage. Breakfast was decent. Bed was comfortable. AC worked flawlessly. Fantastic location.
