Our stay from the 8th Aug - 10th Aug at Regency Kanchipuram by GRT Hotel was truly enjoyable. The staff were warm, respectful, and genuinely attentive, creating a sense of comfort and care throughout our visit. The hotel offers a peaceful, comfortable environment, ideal for both families and solo travellers. It's in a great location, close to temples and saree shopping. We dined at the restaurant and found that vegetarian options were limited, while the non-vegetarian selection was more extensive. Still, the food was tasty and the overall dining experience was pleasant. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing, and well-serviced stay!

Food was excellent for breakfast and lunch with many varieties of home style food. The lunch had a variety of south dishes. The taste was excellent. Head chef Ganesh has made the restaurant excellent. Staff were very courteous and helpful all the time.

Rooms were on smaller side for the price so was bathroom but maybe because it is older. Some renovations would help to enhance the look and keep it near the price charged. Otherwise it’s nice and clean and good cleaning staff. Parking might get overwhelmed at times, but only if rush is high.

I recently stayed at the Regency Hotel in Kanchipuram. While my experience was satisfactory, there's room for improvement. The staff and food were adequate, but the service was slow, and orders were occasionally forgotten. My room came with a promised fruit basket, but it was only provided on one of my two nights. I requested bananas, but they never arrived. At checkout, I was mistakenly billed for a three-night stay instead of two. These issues highlight the need for enhanced training and better management. The property requires renovation, and parking is a significant concern. However, it's worth noting that options are limited in Kanchipuram.

The concept of respect and humility were truly practiced by all the staff at Regency Kanchipuram. They went a step further to fulfil our request no matter how small or big it was. Sabdullah and Dilliganesh were some of the names I could remember, who ensured our stay was pleasant. The philosophy of this hotel is ‘ we say yes’ and these are well reflected by all the staffs at the restaurant. Their sustainable practices are to be commended as there were bottles of water in their room. I believe staffs are well looked after, they seem to be happy welcoming us at Regency Kanchipuram. The place was clean and bed was comfy, hot showers were great. Thanks for such a wonderful hospitality shown to us dear staff.

Fantastic hotel to stay, the pictures don't do justice. Didn't know GRT has hotels. Very courteous and helpful staff. We had a long chat with the chef as well who accommodated food recommendations. The security was helpful as well in finding local transport. The rooms themselves were very clean and had some creative decor. Looks like the bathrooms were upgraded, very good shower system. This will be my go to hotel in kanchipuram and will consider other GRT brand hotels in other places, thank you for the hospitality.

Definitely the location was good. It was opposite to prakash silks and like 5 to 7 mins drive to a s babu sah. The location was easy to to get around to visit temples. Food was okayish. And the rooms have lot of scope for improvement in cleanliness. Hotel staff were very polite and helpful but that didn't make up for the room standard considering the room rate.

Didnt have the breakfast

Well i had booked this room for me and my husband but when i checked in it said a single occupancy and then said the rate was more as its double. I travel all over the world and live in hotel's all the time but the rate for the room stays the same single or double, it only increases when its with kids which i understand. i dont mind paying but it should be done when booking. i am not sure why the booking platform i used Didnt do that.

This is probably the best hotel in Kanchi. The rooms are fine, all is working: AC (which you can fully regulate yourself and it’s good), hot shower. There was no hair dryer in the room but they brought me one when I asked (and it was a good type). Breakfast is ample and tasty. Staff is pleasant. I especially appreciate that they gave me a quiet room as I asked, this resulted in a good night sleep. The location is good for temple visits. The newspaper in the morning is a bonus. I appreciate the small gift at the check-out, thank you!

The rooms are a little dated and could do with a renovation, especially bathroom. Water from shower going over the bathroom floor (floor level shower and toilet almost the same) when showering longer. The bathroom has no ventilation and dries a long time. Driver amenities could be better. Please do not ask for a review during check-out. People are often in a hurry then. Also, when I’m wearing a face mask, it means that I’m not happy to touch many surfaces like an iPad (I was asked to do the review on the receptionists’ iPad), especially when there is no disinfecting liquid near (perhaps you could provide one at the reception anyway?).

Conveniently located for pilgrimage and shopping. Breakfast was excellent, staff were friendly and very helpful.

Arrived a bit earlier than official check in time, understand completely that the room cannot be given early, but the engagement could have been handled better. For example, we had to ask about holding the luggage in the locker room, it could have been proactively offered.

The meals were tasty, fresh and good. The staff was extremely courteous and professional and exceptional. One day when I got back (after temple visits) nearly 45mins past the complimentary buffet breakfast closing time, they still gave me a choice (idli vs pongal) at no additional cost. I was super touched by this gesture.

The cark park facility is limited and cramped. But the valet does a fantastic job.
