I really enjoyed my stay at The Wild Yak in Mandi. The room was large, clean, and quiet with a view over the Beas River and surrounding mountains. The staff were excellent. Food can be ordered from a local restaurant and delivered to the room. It is about a 45 minute walk to downtown Mandi, or a 15 minute ride for about 100 rupees at time of writing. The room was spotless and quite spacious with a small balcony with views over the landscape. I highly recommend this property for travellers coming to Mandi.

It is outside the city on the Manali road. The location is excellent if you are looking only for a place to break your journey to Manali. But it is not too convenient if Mandi is your main interest.

The rooms are on higher floors and there is no lift. The stairs are steep. They don't have in-house catering, but have efficient tie-up with other places. Breakfast was served within a few minutes of placing the order. Dinner took longer.

A surprising little gem just outside Mandi. Spacious rooms beautifully appointed in pine with marble effect floors. Very comfortable, clean, great bathroom even with toilet paper for us westerners. Great chairs and table and it had a little véranda with Mountain View’s. The staff were respectful, kind and helpful. Good continuous wifi without all the re entering. The breakfast was included and it was simple but tasty. We did not expect to like it so much but we would go back in a flash if passing that way and can recommend it.

Small floor towel fir the shower. Maybe two small chairs and table for the veranda. We took the bedroom chairs out and it was fine.

The staff was courteous, helpful , and ready to please in their capacity . The rooms and toilets were clean and neat .

The room was noisy as windows were not sound proof , The main door should have room numbers and rooms should have intercom facility connected to reception.Kitchen need to be better equipped .

Extremely Clean room , well maintained and clean linen and towels , adequately equipped with modern gadgets essential for a comfortable and memorable stay . The owners are extremely proactive and concerned about the well being and comfort of all their guests . At the operational end is Mr Manohar who takes care of every detail and goes out of his way to provide a satisfying stay . The choice of linen and furniture is homely and gives you a feel of home . The owner couple is very friendly , polite ,helpful and forthcoming in accepting feedback . Highly recommend if you are stopping over at Mandi since this is the only place of its kind in this town .

Overall room was good

I believe during booking, the rooms shown were much bigger than the one provided. On enquiring, the staff said that your booked room was much smaller than the one provided...🙂...is there another smaller room than the one provided??

We stayed for quite a while in The Wild Yak, and the staff made everything so much easier for us. A special thanks to the manager, Manohar Lal. He managed to accommodate all our needs, be it laundry or throwing a party with a big group of friends. Also, all other staff members were so polite and accommodating. I am really thankful to the The Wild Yak for facilitating our needs in such short notice. I am looking forward to a stay again whenever I come back to Mandi.

Nice place to stay in Mandi, spacious room, very new and clean, nice bathrooms with hot water, fast wifi, good views of the river and Mandi is an interesting town.

Nice clean place. Staff was very helpful, even with limited english. Even suggested to give me a ride downtown on a motorbike.

The location is far from town center, so it's not easy to go eat outside.
