We stayed for 18 nights and loved it! The room is spacious and clean. Location is in a safe and good neighbourhood. Staff is really helpful with everything (incl. recommendations & translation) and extremely nice. We have had some delicious chai made by them and they even taught us how to make it ourselves. A good example of their hospitality is when we tried to go to the station, but no driver was accepting our request (only time this ever happened, usually it is easy). The host immediately got into his car to drive us to a place where they did want to drive us to the station. When we are back in Delhi, we would love to come back here!

We had a wonderful experience staying at Tatvamasi! The rooms were simple yet very clean, and the location is peaceful and quiet—perfect for relaxing after a day out in Delhi. The host is truly exceptional—he welcomed us warmly with chai, gave us a tour of the neighborhood, and went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. Communication was seamless from the time of booking until after checkout. The host is incredibly adaptable and ready to help in any situation to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay. My family and I absolutely loved it and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Delhi!

I don't think there is a better host and accommodation than this one on booking and here is the explanation. Pankaj (the host) welcomed us at 5 am even though we were supposed to arrive after 12... he even showed us must-visit places that we didn't know about, he drove us to the subway with his car and showed us good restaurants, shops etc. he was available at any time of the day for all questions and services, he even offered more without asking for anything in return... the accommodation was very clean and comfortable, enough space, it's even better in person than in the pictures and most importantly, it's located in a safe area. high score deserved. thank you for everything!

If you've looked at the reviews and wondered if it was too good to be true, don't they're all spot on. We were blown away with the kindness and level of service from the owner Pankaj but also from all the other staff. It was exactly why we love Homestays as you are able to connect with families who have an intimate knowledge of the area. Pankaj was very helpful at helping us navigate Delhi during our first experience which was key to ensuring we maximised our short stay. It was also lovely to be able to share a chai tea at various points and felt very welcome throughout. The area is safe in the CP/GK area. It's very close to the metro and local markets which makes travel in the city much easier. The accommodation is clean and reflects the photos shared.

Genuinely nothing - we were very pleased with our stay.

This is a fantastic homestay. Pankaj is a superb host and fully earns his top ratings. The location is in a quite suburb near a park but still gives you a taste of local atmosphere. Being a homestay and not a bed and breakfast there are no meals provided but rooms all have a fridge, plates, bowls, spoons etc and access to a microwave. There is a nearby grocery store that can supply food items. Rooms also have showers, full water bottles, tea, coffee and a kettle. There are some great options for meals a short walk away with restaurants and coffee shops to suit all kinds of meal. Delhi is an energetic metropolis and Pankaj is one of it’s greatest ambassadors. He will certainly help you find your way around the transport and site seeing options. Don’t forget though to take time to just hang out on the homestay’s roof terrace and enjoy just being at home in a fascinating city.

Tatvamasi is without doubt the best place to stay in Delhi. The location is excellent—safe, well-connected, and surrounded by great places to eat. But what truly makes it stand out is Pankesj, the owner. He is one of the kindest and friendliest people I’ve met during my entire trip in India. He goes far beyond what you would expect from a host—always ready to help, attentive, and generous with his advice and recommendations. He creates an atmosphere where you feel not just welcomed, but genuinely cared for. Staying here felt less like being a guest and more like having a good friend in Delhi who looks after you. That’s what makes Tatvamasi such a special place, and why I recommend it wholeheartedly.

We were greeted upon our arrival by Pankaj and offered masala tea as we checked in after our hours long ride from Agra. The room was huge. It had a closed off area with the kitchenette and table and a small area to hang wet clothes. The water pressure was great and the air conditioning and fans were perfect after a hot day sight seeing. Within a 10 minute walk, there are multiple places to eat. The neighborhood was fairly quiet and we felt safe walking back to our house late, after the short cut gate was closed at 10:00pm. We can’t say enough about our host. Pankaj was welcoming and so enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge of the area. He answered all our questions and drove us himself to one of our first stops near the transit.

There wasn’t anything we would improve.

Our 3 nights at Pankaj’s flew by and for good reason. After some very intense travels to get here, Pankaj’s homestay was exactly what the soul needed. Arriving to India can be overwhelming and overstimulating at times, but we felt like we had a safe & sound home to return to with a host who was ready to go out of his way to answer any question under the blazing, pre-monsoon sun. He even offered to drive me back to the restaurant when I forgot the bag with my new purchases there. I must also applaud the wonderful, small staff who greeted us at the door and helped carry in our luggage. They were so attentive and we always came back to a fresh room. This is not your typical homestay. I understand now why Pankaj’s guests return to him—and only him—again & again. Pankaj is aware, cultured, and open-minded—the world comes to his doorstep! He answered my many questions about Indian culture and explained the metro system which is an experience I’m happy to have had. I haven’t slept so well in weeks, even considering I had to share the bed with my brother. The mattresses are perfect, as you barely feel any movement from the other person. Considering how loud Delhi can be, it’s also a miracle how quiet it was in his neighborhood! Thank you Pankaj & team! See you again.

We had the best stay at Tatvamasi Homestay. Pankaj was the perfect host—walking us through our Delhi itinerary and recommending alterations and additions. The property was clean and comfortable, and we loved the quiet neighborhood. While staying at Tatvamasi Homestay meant a bit more time in transit to get around the city, what the location lacked in convenience it more than made up for in every other way (including delicious restaurants right around the corner!). We enjoyed our time with Pankaj so much that we altered our itinerary to stop back through.

This is a great choice for staying in New Delhi. It is located in the residential area, that is calmer than the city center. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The owner was at our disposal 24/7, extremely kind and pleasant person. He walked us around the neighbourhood, giving us tips about restaurants and food in general, he even drove us to the Lotus temple, that is quite close to the place. He made sure we see the best of New Delhi and helped us in any given situation. We would definitely return!
