Our Stay at the Rani Mahal was the highlight of our trip to Jodphur. This amazing Havali is 450 years old and has been recently renovated enhancing all the beautiful carved stone walls and pillars. The owner Nisha and her daughter have created such a beautiful place to stay inside the Blue City. Great location everything within walking distance. A fabulous view of the fort from the rooftop restaurant. Nisha and her amazing staff were always available to help with any needs including booking transport, shopping and always available to chat. Mitali and Nisha spend alot of their time welcoming guests and checking in on your needs. The restaurant has delicious traditional food that we rarely ate anywhere else. We will certainly stay here again on our next trip, felt like a home away from home. 💚💛⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Beautiful, well preserved, old Haveli. It is quite an experience to live in such an exquisite heritage building. The view from the roof is exceptional. Food was good, especially continental breakfast. People were very friendly and helpful. Location is great as well. Just a stone throw away from the Blue City heritage walk. Property is easily accessible via tuktuk and bike.

A bit of noise from road and foyer travels through the courtyard into the room. Extractor fan in bathroom sees through into the hallway outside the room. Nothing major and definitely still recommend.

Rani Mahal Queens Palace The moment I stepped into Rani Mahal there was a connection to the space. It happened to unfold the moment I got to reception and was given a room upgrade. I mentioned, “anything for a queen” not knowing the meaning of Rani Mahal which translates to Queens Palace. The building is 450 years old and would house Queens during the War times. The space was glorious, quaint, inviting, warm and appealed to my senses, due to design and colour. Every staff member was pure gold, catering and servicing my every request. Gumpt my favourite. Nisha the owner laid out the red carpet , as I was on a spiritual buying quest. She was connected beyond my wildest dreams. This is not just a guest house, it is where dreams come true. During my time here I had a pedicure, amazing coffee, a Vedic reading, alterations organised, supplier meetings, sourcing trips, I felt supported, held and loved all within these four walls. Breakfast was adequate and I looked forward to my visits to the rooftop as the view of the Fort is extraordinary. This is the perfect place to stay in the old city. There are a few stairs to climb to your room, and rooftop and this added to the intrigue of the unique space. This experience will be forever etched in my heart, and was a life changing. I con not recommend it enough and look forward to my return to the Blue City in Jodhpur. Caroline Pèril

I am so grateful that my introduction to traveling to India on my own was staying at the Rani Mahal for my first few nights. I am incredibly fortunate - it was a thoroughly wonderful experience. I cannot thank Nisha, Sharwan, Devi, and the rest of the team for making my stay memorable. My room was comfortable, great size, and traditionally and ornately furnished. The guesthouse is warm and welcoming and has a treat around every corner. The rooftop is fantastic; the views are incredible (I can't imagine there would be a better view at any other Guesthouse), the food delicious, and the beer very cold. Nisha arranged a walking tour of Jodhpur with a local guide which was one of the standout experiences of my short trip to India. I thoroughly recommend and will certainly return. Thank you, Nisha and team.

The Wifi is not great, but not a problem if you have roaming/tourist data.

Very spacious room in a very nice hotel in the old city (and although the city is very noisy and busy, the hotel indoors is an oasis), huge bathroom as well, good AC, quite nights. We were on the second floor (stairs). Very large rooftop terrace where breakfast is served, with fantastic views of the fort! Good for nightly drinks as well. Restaurant downstairs with AC is an option too. Special mention of Mr. Dalpat, who was Mr. Friendly himself and made us really felt welcome. Highly appreciated, we miss you. Our room (206) was clean, spacious, with comfy beds and a separate seating area. The whole of the hotel was very much a beautiful welcoming place and staff was really helpful with everything we needed.

Cleanliness of the bathroom could have been more on parr with 4 stars, but was ok.

Wonderful little hotel in the middle of old city, 10 minutes walk either to museum or to the market, surrounded with beautiful labyrinths of tiny little streets, ready to explore. Family owned and operated, beautiful rustic style, contemporary facilities, beautifully decorated rooms, full of art — everything has a little extra touch to it, so it feels like home. The food is great and a rooftop view is gorgeous —adding to the experience. The owner is the most friendly woman who will help you with whatever fancy request you might have. Book with confidence!

Rani Mahal is a relatively new boutique hotel in what I understand to be 450 year old haveli. It’s such a beautiful building. The executive room we stayed in for three nights was large, and absolutely stunning. The hotel proprietor, Nisha and her staff made our stay feel like we were staying with family or best friends. Nothing was too hard for them. Breakfast was delicious. I chose the banana pancakes most mornings. Yum!!! Nisha helped us with our taxi to our next destination. And when one of taxis got lost, and even though we had checked out and left Jodhpur, I was able to call Nisha so that she could speak to our taxi driver to explain to him where to go. Amazing service and support. They made our stay in Jodhpur, wonderful!!

The only thing I didn’t like was we didn’t get to stay there longer.

I stayed at the Rani Mahal with my husband and our 2 boys. The havelli is 450 years old and it is has a lot of traditional Indian heritage character. It has been beautifully restored and we were very comfortable during our stay. The streets are too narrow for a car but for 100 rupees you can get a tuk tuk to drop you at the front door. We have struggled to find family rooms in India but there was one at the Rani Mahal. The owner Nisha went out of her way to make us all feel comfortable, especially the boys. The rooftop restaurant had amazing views, great food and awesome staff who were happy to chat with us. One of the highlights of our stay was a cooking class in the restaurant kitchen with Nisha and her chefs. They were so keen to share their knowledge and really engaged the boys and then we got to sit down and enjoy the feast that we had made. The location was great for walking up to the fort and my husband and sons really enjoyed the zip line experience - it was too high for me! We definitely will be back someday, we loved our time here!

Nothing!

The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Kudos to the owner Ms. Nisha Jain, who went out of her way to help us with any requests, and we were fortunate to have had the opportunity to have stimulating conversations with her.

Not a matter of not liking something - but a headsup for other folks. The hotel cannot be reached directly by a car. From the airport you can take an uber, but later have to transfer to a tuk-tuk as the hotel is located in the old city and the streets are very narrow. We did not realize it, but the hotel can make arrangements for the guests to be picked up at the airport.

Rani Mahal is probably one of the only hotels in India we would come back to. It is located on a small street in the middle of the old blue city. The hotel will send a tuk tuk to pick you up (free of charge) as the road is not accessible by car. When you enter the heritage hotel you will have a big suprise. It is like entering an oasis of peace and beauty. The owner greets every guests at arrival and makes sure all your wishes are met. Interior of the hotel is beautiful and there is a nice rooftop restaurant with an amazing view to the fort. Our room had a beautiful design and was super comfortable and clean (to western standards). Big bed with fresh smelling sheets. Bathroom was big, with toiletries, towels and most important hot water available. Minifridge and a kettle with tea & coffee was also available. They also helped us with drycleaning our clothes after Holy festival and did a great job at removing all colors. We enjoyed a nice vegetarian dinner and also had a massage during our stay. We highly recommend staying in Rani Mahal when in Jodhpur. You will not be dissapointed.

Nothing. Everything exceed our expectations
