I had a very pleasant stay at Blue Jay. I really appreciate how clean the property is. The washrooms, the rooms, the beds–everything is maintained well. The bed was really comfy, too. Also, there are plenty of bathrooms so even if the one in your dorm is occupied, there are many others you can use. The staff members were all very kind, helpful and polite. Location-wise, it's very central but at the same time a bit tucked away so it always felt peaceful there. There are some great cafés around, such as Dharma Swasthi. I really liked the common room as well, which offers some really comfy sofas and cushions to chill on.

The Wi-Fi could have been better for sure. It was okay for reading the news but definitely not good for any serious work. Also, I wasn't provided with a bucket for washing my clothes, instead I was told I had to use an affiliated laundry service to get my laundry done. I am not going to use a laundry service if I want to wash one pair of socks. That does not seem right. In some of the dorms, you can't open the windows which means the air in the rooms isn't extra fresh. Why would someone design a room with an unopenable window? Despite these issues, I had a very pleasant stay and I would happily come back.

I initially had a great experience during my first week at the hostel. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and the environment was perfect for responsible backpackers, which is why I decided to extend my stay for another week. However, my experience during the following weeks were quite different. After being shifted from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor, I noticed a lack of guidance provided to guests on maintaining hostel decorum. Some tourists, unfortunately, treated the shared space as if they had booked a private room. They would turn on the lights late at night, bang doors loudly, and leave the bathroom floor wet and dirty. Using their phones or talking loudly, disturbing others in the room. They would also leave the lights on and go to sleep. Sadly, most of these issues were caused by fellow Indian tourists specifically from delhi, which took away the charm of the hostel. There was little to no respect for others, and it felt as though they thought the entire room was theirs. I had originally planned to extend my stay for few week but decided against it due to the disruptive behavior of the other guests. I won’t be making the mistake of booking for an extended stay again.

The hostel management should definitely brief guests on how to maintain discipline in shared spaces.

I would like to highlight the staff’s exceptional hospitality. They were very accommodating, ensuring a smooth check-in process and doing their best to arrange an early check-in since I arrived quite early. The housekeeping staff deserves special mention they clean the rooms daily, ensure they smell fresh, and the floors are always well-mopped. The staff is available 24/7, always ready to assist. Having spent a good amount of time around Rishikesh, I can confidently recommend this hostel for its cleanliness, safety, and top-notch hospitality.

However, a drawback was the non-functional café. After conducting classes and workshops, I was often too tired to go out searching for cafes. It would be great if the café could reopen to provide on-site dining. Lastly, while the living area is beautifully designed, it felt a bit dull due to the lack of activities offered during the stay.

The Hostel is great . The people who work there have a key word: education. Very impressed by the way was clean by the staff and hold by management. Education and availability 24/7 was impressive. Also the ambient created and the guest were resembling the rest. All very good

Unfortunately the windows are never opened (which seems to be a common problem in India’s hostels). So the air you breathe inside the hostel is never fresh and oxygenated. But I don’t think this to be the workers responsibility but more a still rule.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Blue Jay’s Hostels! The room was impeccably clean, the location was perfect, and the staff was incredibly polite and attentive. A special shoutout to Veer, who went above and beyond to help us and ensure we had the best experience possible. His dedication and kindness truly made our trip unforgettable. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay. We’ll definitely be back

Everything was just fine

Staffs are funny and always helpful. I can feel relief and relax. Morning and night is cold in December, I ‘m happy they have a heater in the room. Everything you need cafe, yoga studio, groceries, restaurant, ATM is close to property.

I have sometime trouble with networking, but it isn’t property fault. Hot shower isn’t always hot. The room is clean，but sometime remain incomplete.

The rooms were extremely well maintained and greatly impressed with their cleanliness. Thanks to the housekeeping team for maintaining clean linens and washrooms. They were exceptional in terms of their rooms and location.

The only drawback was that the cafe was not operational, and the hostel had no activities or vibe.It would be great if they could also maintain a happy vibe in the hostel. It was extremely boring, with no activities happening inside the hostel.

The staff were incredible - special shout out to Veer, who was always cheerful, respectful and helpful. The boys were always cleaning and the property was well maintained.

Unfortunately noise was an issue, with doors slamming until the early hours of the morning and some guests that spoke loudly in the corridors after 10pm.

To start with.. the Hostel is clean and beds in dorms are super comfy! The staff has a service attitude and is always helpful. The cafeteria serves delicious food, even though the items are menu are limited. The bunch of boys are always smiling and doing their work. The mornings and evenings at the cafeteria/terrace was beautiful and chilly with a pretty view. Do choose them!

The rooms and bathroom were not cleaned everyday.. or missed on somedays.. should be daily thing as the dorm has 6 people staying and everyone doesn't care cleaning n drying the bathroom once they're done using them.. can be uncomfortable for some.

Location is great and the private rooms are nice, modern and clean.

I was very disappointed when I found out the café in the rooftop is closed. The plans they offer for the guests are not happening either due to the season. My reason to book these place was both the ambience of a hostel (inexistente) and the fact that they had a cafe in the premises (closed).
