The hotel (a tented camp) was excellent. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The half board package was great value for money and the staff were very flexible regarding our 6am safari starts providing a quick breakfast and then a cooked breakfast on our return. Delicious dinner and listened to our requests for less hot curries. Simba the Alsatian dog. Safaris booked by the owner were excellent.

Staff had very little English so communication sometimes difficult, but they were trying so hard to give outstanding service. Owner a bit slow to respond to my initial requests to book safaris - I highly recommend making sure you have booked well in advance to avoid the stress of not knowing if you have safaris booked.

Madho Bagh is an amazing resort in the outskirts of Sawai Madhopur, close to Zone 1-5 of the Ranthambore National Park. Mr. Akshat and his family have been an amazing host and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The food was amazing as was the experience of staying in a tent. There are a total of 8 tents in total, but this leads to a tailored experience that will meet your needs as you want.

The approach road to the property is a bit problematic, so i would recommend instead of Google maps, connect with the host directly and ask for the best way towards the hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at Madho Bagh in the beginning of April. The tents feel very luxurious and the property is a beautiful green oasis, where you can find peace and quiet between tiger safaris in the National Park. I planned my trip to Ranthambore quite last minute, but the owners did a great job securing three canter safaris in the best zones for Tiger spotting (and yes, I was very lucky and saw tigers during two out of three safaris).

Madho Bagh is simply out of this world. Everything about it is superb and I can’t recommend it highly enough. It compares with the top South African games lodges that cost upwards of $1,000 a night. The meals are outstanding and our host Aksha is the kindest, most helpful and amazing person. He got us booked on safaris at the last minute and spent hours doing so. Madho Bagh is example of world class hospitality. The chef prepared such delicious meals, the Laal Maas being our absolute favourite! Would return in a heartbeat. Thank you so much Aksha

Nothing. The only minor issue we had was communication with the staff as their English is limited.

Madho Bagh is the perfect place to stay whilst going on tiger safaris at Ranthambore. We wanted a place to relax and unwind after early mornings and long days, and this was the perfect place to do this. There are only around 8 tents so it never felt hectic. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and accomodating. They organised all of our taxi drop offs and picks ups for the safaris and train stations. They also accomodated my husbands nut allergy so we could eat with peace of mind and try lots of delicious Indian food. The tents are incredibly cumfy and spacious. The pool was lovely and refreshing after a long day after safari in the heat! The garden was also lovely to relax in too and look at stars in the night. I would highly reccomend!

Our stay here was just absolutely fantastic. The staff- they left us wanting for nothing else. They anticipated everything we needed and went above and beyond. They helped us book our return train tickets and even sourced out some local souvenirs for us. Each meal was freshly prepped, and we had amazing meals each time. During dinner, they even put on a Ranthambore tiger documentary for us, which we really enjoyed! We booked our safari tickets through the property and everything went without a hitch. Madho Bagh arranged our transportation and made sure we got where we needed to be on time, each time. The property itself was amazing, well manicured lawn, great scenery. Our tent was very clean and had luxurious amenities so it was the perfect mix of comfort and nature. We chose this place to unwind far away from the hustle and bustle of a city and we got exactly that. We felt completely recharged after being immersed in nature here. There were also fauna all around! They have an adorable well behaved dog named Simba which you can play with (the owner is very considerate and will ask first if you are okay with dogs, or else Simba will be kept away). We adored him, there’s also a pair of very cute owls that hang about the property, and plenty of birds. If we come back, we’ll definitely stay here again :)

Nothing at all! It was all great. Some may say the property is located a little further in, but that wasn’t a problem for us at all as the staff arranged transportation in and out for us each time. And we liked the serenity that came from the location. There are sometimes trains that run through the night, but we didn’t hear it much after the first two times. And you can pretty much hear those trains all over the city too.

I can't recommend enought this place, it was the best stay in India. The tent was very clean, it smelled super nice , the bed was clean and comfortable and very cozy place in the nature. The staff and the owner were super helpful. The owner organized for us an extra safari so as to see tiger. The chef was prepared for us anything that we asked for since we had stomach problems and he prepared a light and tasty dinner. Definitely I will book this place again.

Unfortunately we stayed only one night , next time we gonna spend more days at this place.

The hotel itself with the very nicely decorated tents and the garden is lovely. The tents are very well equiped and super clean. Food is great. People are very attentive.

It is really a little bit away from everything else and you will need a transport. Just a few (Manager & Chef) speak good english - the others don't. You should not be sensitive to noise or high volume as there is music from around till the middle of the night or voices from other tents.

Spacious tents for that on safari feel. Excellent chef that provided delicious food. The owners father was a genial, entertaining host showing true Rajastani hospitality. Attentative staff. The owner was able to organise short notice safaris.

A lack of clarity over meal times and what is included with the plan

Service was super friendly! Stay was so calming and the pool was amazing. Also the tents and overall appearance were really nice. They were also able to arrange an extra last-minute safari in a beautiful zone for us which was super kind.

The area is very focused on the safari trips so there are a lot of different parties that offer it. Try to do it through Madho Bagh so you know you are not being hassled.
