A word for Anantya in the Village: This soothing boutique hotel in the heart of South-central Tamil Nadu has been a fantastic discovery. First up, it is not wildly expensive. All meals are entirely home-cooked and served by the most earnest people. The team managing the hotel goes above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable. They serve you tea / coffee whenever you ask for it, they make sure you're well fed and they give you all kinds of recommendations and even organize a ton of activities and trails for you. We couldn't do much but we plan on visiting them again to really participate in everything they have to offer. They even organize heritage immersion trips for kids, and that really blew my mind. If I'd had the opportunity to do something like this as a kid, I'd be a lot more connected to my roots today, I think. What makes this place different is that it is filled with the most beautiful stories of people who have lived in the area. Pradeep Chakravarthy, the owner, has so many stories to tell, recounting spending vacations at his ancestral home and a coconut tree climber's escapades and how government policy reshapes lives are only two of many stories infusing life, music and joy into the walls of the beautiful house that's now been turned into the hotel. Loved everything about the stay here and highly highly recommend! ♥️🌸

Staff are awesome, food was good and facilities are good. It’s a nice experience for a stay in a TN temple village. There are some interesting books at the property which you should give a read. They have taken great efforts to provide comfort in a rustic space - really appreciate that! And I would give marks for effort to employ local folks and keeping things generally sustainable and all.

Nothing that I didn’t like! But few things you should know: 1. There’s nothing much to do except read or temple! 2. There are lizards all over the property- except inside rooms, so beware that. 3. During festival there will be loud songs across the village! 4. As far as I could tell, there’s only Tamil food. Except lizards, I was fine with all of above!

Anantya in the Village elevated our experience by the friendly warm faces of the staff that went out of the way to make our stay comfortable and welcoming. Special mention to Siva Raj, Anu and John. Our room was a haven of quietude, adorned with exposed wooden beams, antique furnishings, and soft linens that invited slumber. The muted colour palette and lack of digital distractions fostered a sense of calm, allowing us to truly disconnect and reconnect with ourselves. Do ask for books or traditional Indian games which were readily available to fill your gadget-free evenings. Special thanks to the chef who cooked sumptuous home-cooked meals. The tiffin ( dosa, iddly and chapati) were done well and we couldn't help but asking for more. In conclusion Anantya in the village, It's a haven for the soul, a rustic sanctuary where time slows down and home-cooked meals warm the heart.

The homeliness, the old village house living, nearness to azhwar temple, divya prabandham book in the room, a book with articles written by nellaiites, the wire koodai and the staff

The room didnt have natural lighting, it had to have light on all the time and there was no night lamp. But it wasnt a problem

A great little place and a gem of a discovery. Taj-style quality for less than what you'd pay at a GRT hotel. This is a great place to relax and meditate.

The location is great for a tour of the local/regional temples. But otherwise, it is out of the way. Difficult to reach and with nothing to do, except for those temple visits.

Property is very clean, Staffs are exceptional. Very near to temples. Homely environment. Feels like as if you are in Temple mada street and Agraharam. Perfect vegetarian food, you can get your choice of veg food. I suggest this place for people who travel to Tiruchendur and for temples in and around Thootukudi and Thirunelveli. Just 20 kms from Thirunelveli connected to national highway. Can commute easily to Tiruchendur, Toithukudi and Thirunelveli.

Road works between Property and Thiruchendur sir is

Food was good, price for room was bit on the higher side. Property was well maintained and very clean. Though it was on the outskirts of Thiruchendur it was not too far either.

Its clean and well maintained. Walking distance to temple. Felt like staying in a village house

We were the only guests in the place when we visited and so the choice of food was limited. The chef however took extra care to make the food that we preferred

Amazing ambience and feels like a Brahmin household of olden days. Loved it and the food is so great too. Must visit if you like old world charm. It's a bit expensive but I would surely say it's worth the money. Fulfilling breakfast and lunch/ dinner options. Transport is provided on request. Do visit the Alwar temple nearby, its superb. Extra **** for the amazing Appam and Stew prepared by Chef Nidhish.. so good!

Absolutely nothing .. everything was excellent.
