Wonderful local family. Caring. Privacy. Very good big house with beautiful balconies and common spaces. Good bathrooms. Clean water. Cool and comfortable home interior. Marble floors. Fans and cooler. Attentive compassionate and understanding host family. Wonderful location close to many temples holy places chai and fruit stands. Very good food vendors close by. Yet very peaceful location a little away from market place traffic or noise. Ideally situated and secluded.

Pros : Mohit is a great host who will go out of his way to help other .He did the same for us to make our stay comfortable in sarnath . If you are coming via car ,you can take outer ring road to reach his location . Cons: If you are looking to visit varanasi from this location ,be ready to use the rapido or uber which will charge 200-250 for per trip .Also as it's out of the main varanasi city ,food through delivery app will take quite a time.

This was my very first stop in India, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Mohit and his family welcomed us immediately as one of their own, and truly made this place feel like home. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the area is safe and quiet, and the food is amazing! Highly reccomend this spot.

Mohit GH was one of my best dorm experiences in India. Such a nice, kind host, and a tidy spotless dorm room (I didn't see the other rooms) that I had to myself. It's in a quiet neighbourhood but a close walking distance to all the sites. Great value for backpackers. You helped make my stay in marvellous Sarnath and unforgettable experience!

The host was very friendly and accommodating. From the time I checked in and checked out he was always there to help. The location is amazing in Saranath and the hostel is quite comfortable and clean. A must stay place if you're visiting sarnath.

I rarely write reviews, but after experiencing so many fake reviews in india (which I hope booking will adress at some point) and having a great stay at Mohit's guest house I felt I would like to let other travellers know it is definetily worth it staying at his place. We got to Mohit after staying one night in assi ghat which was terribly overwhelming (+ obviously got food poisoning) and decided to book Mohit's outside the chaos of Varanassi. Looking back I would have stayed at his place since the beggining and just jump on tuk tuk from the nearbh temple to town. The rooms are pretty clean for india, spacious and we really appreciated the hot shower too. Mohit is a funny, honest and kind host which in our experience is though to find in india. He helped out with everything even offered to cook us plain rice when his chef was away. Summarizing, despite the location which is a bit far from the ghat it is most highly recommended. From my point of view even better than the centre: the area is quiet, local and has temples, a nice park and restaurants nearby. Thank you for everythkng Mohit! :)

A bit difficult to catch tuk tuk's from there, so better be prepared with a local app, like rapido or uber. Mohit was also helpful with that when we had issues. Also for mosquito sensitive people like my husband, despite having nets on the window, the room is not "bulletproof" but really fair for indian standards!

The host and people working there are amazing, lovely people. Really free vibe. Cool outdoor terrace and good breakfast. The vibe with the other guests was great also. Little bit far away from the center of Varanasi (30-40 uber drive) but for me it was good because is a much more relaxed atmosphere and you have lots of interesting temples near the guest house. Pretty comfy bed.

Could be more clean, especially the bathrooms, but for indian standards is not bad. Not hot water in the shower.

The hospitality that you get from the owner- Mohit Bhaiya is the best thing about the property. Located very close to Sarnath and away from the crowds, it is in a perfect location to explore around the area (everything is in a walking distance).

They just built the dormitory so are still working on upgrading it with better facilities. Few amenities missing, but I’m sure they will include it very soon.
