This place is definitely one of the weirdest hotels I've ever been to. Mostly due to its location. It feels like a massive golden cage within some slum area with broken down housing. The hotel is very luxurious with super friendly staff all around. Rooms are big, beds comfortable and breakfast with plenty of choice.

The pool area was partly under construction and the gym could definitely use more equipment. Also the pricing is quite high compared to other hotels in India

We had a beautiful welcoming check-in experience, they gifted us warm ready made cookies on arrival - absolutely loved it!- The Hotel is very new and clean, we were given a great pool room view, and the bedroom and bathroom were very clean, spacious and silent and the bed was extremely comfortable, the restaurant and breakfast buffet are very nice and we also had room service which was fab, all the staff and service was excellent, very very helpful and friendly. The location is very close to all main areas and the hotel arranged all tours and transport we needed. I loved the bright lobby area which has a cute cafe with cakes and refreshments and different seating areas. An overall super experience. We will definitely come back!

Top notch hotel in the middle of a quite chaotic Varanasi neighborhood. Big rooms, very comfy beds, pool, spa, all the facilities you can expect. Restaurant has a large menu and buffet is also available. Travel desk is very helpful and useful, they provide great cars/drivers with good service even with very short notice. Special thanks to the restaurant staff who found some documents and money that I had forgotten and helped to get it back to me.

Information at reception could be improved, we did not receive any information regarding restaurant/breakfast or hotel services. DoubleTree cookies weren't provided, which is a small detail. Breakfast was quite disorganized, as tables did not have cutlery, napkins or cups, so you had to gather them from other tables. Note that the hotel is quite far from River Ganges so plan accordingly. Would stay here again regardless!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at DoubleTree by Hilton, Varanasi, and the experience was truly beyond expectations. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay. A special shoutout to Mr. Mangal and Mr. Amarjit from the housekeeping team, who made sure that every detail in our room was perfect. Their meticulousness and willingness to help at any moment made a world of difference. The room was always in pristine condition, which contributed greatly to a relaxing stay. From the in-house dining, I’d like to extend my gratitude to Shivendra and Mr. Anubhav. Their exceptional service and attention to detail during meal times were remarkable. The Thai curry they served was extraordinarily tasty, and the Nizami vegetarian biryani was absolutely delicious—one of the best I’ve ever had! The food in general was outstanding, with the breakfast buffet offering a wonderful variety of flavors and dishes. Everything I tried was exceptionally tasty, and the chef deserves immense praise for the incredible job done. Deepa, the Breakfast Manager, was instrumental in making sure the morning meals were well-organized and pleasant. Her attention to every guest and smooth coordination of the team did not go unnoticed. At the front desk, Rahul made sure every check-in and request was handled efficiently and with warmth. The entire front desk team was quick to assist with a smile. What truly sets this hotel apart is the overall friendliness and commitment of the staff. Each member of the team, from housekeeping to dining to the front desk, seemed to genuinely care about making our stay unforgettable. It felt as though everyone was eager to serve, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience throughout. In summary, DoubleTree by Hilton Varanasi exceeded all expectations in terms of service, food, and hospitality. I can’t thank the team enough for their hard work and dedication in making our stay so enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was nice and reception and room service teams were courteous too. Rooms were clean and decently sized.

No shower near the pool .. had to go inside the block to shower before entering the pool. No F&B service near the pool. some snacks or beverages if offered could be additional highlight for all

My stay at Doubletree by Hilton was exceptionally comfortable and safe. As a solo female traveller, the hotel staff was helpful and made my stay relaxed. The breakfast choices were great and their Ala Cart had really good and fresh meals even late night. I give 5 stars to this hotel and staff. Mr. Aman was really helpful at the front desk.

The location from the ghats but I believe thats why it is so calm and peaceful there. The hotel should add some more tour packages and taxi rentals. Some souvenirs of Banaras should be there so if a traveler like me forget something can buy it from the hotel.

The staff. After reading the reviews I was sceptical about this place. Expecting bad service and bad attitude but I went with an open mind and the service could not have been any further from the bad reviews. From the start I was greeted and kindly looked after right to the finish. As a solo female traveler with a few bad experiences here in India so far this place provided me with comfort and relaxation knowing I was being looked after. Rahul, Deepak and Anushka were exceptionally helpful. The massage at the spa was perfect. Breakfast was great! Gym was enough for me and a very chilled pool area to relax.

Slightly high in price in the restaurant.

We stayed 3 days in this hotel. The room was spacious and clean, but noisy. The breakfast was great and the lunch was very good. Wifi was good. The staff was very kind and helpful, except for the reception. They were slow and unkind to each other. Special thanks to some very kind staff members: Arjun from the coffee bar and Monu and Chura Mani from the restaurant. Suggestion: use refill bottles for water instead of plastic bottles.

Excellent hotel with great staff and facilities!

It’s rather far from the Ganges even though it doesn’t appear so on the map. It takes ages by TukTuk or taxi to get to the Centre/Ganges and travel to and from the hotel at night is virtually impossible. :-( We highly recommend that the hotel start offering its own taxi service. It wasn’t safe for us (as two woman) to travel back from the centre/Ganges River at night. It would have been great if a hotel taxi was available to collect us in the city at the end of our evenings out (which weren’t very late).

I had an early start and requested a lunch box in place of my missed breakfast - and was given 2 cheese sandwiches, a muffin and a croissant for 2 adults… This is a 5 star hotel , would of expected something more substantial such as some pasties, fruit, nuts and yogurt also.
