The stay was very good — the spa is simply amazing and the staff is very attentive. The room was always clean and the towels were replaced regularly, which was a big plus. The pool was almost always empty, making it more comfortable to enjoy. Incredible experience, I would definitely come back and recommend the hotel!

We had food poisoning from the restaurant’s food and had to stay an extra day, which at least allowed us to enjoy the spa even more.

The property is beautiful. It is the perfect place in BenBenaras if you want to escape the hustle of the city and still visit places by staying in the city. The property is a heritage building and the newer parts of the hotel is built around that. The mornings are beautiful with so many green trees around. You can enjoy your morning tea and breakfast outside. Auto stand is just outside the hotel premises which is very convenient to make quick trips to the temple and the ghats. Food is ambrosial. We also enjoyed the evening classical music over the weekends from 8-10:30 pm. I will definitely recommend everyone to stay at this hotel of a weekend getaway!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Food and service is great. The attached balcony is a great place to relax.

Bed mattress needs to be changed. The springs are old and the mattress sinks way too much making it uncomfortable. Power plug points need to be changed to accommodate mobile and laptop chargers. Washroom has water logging on the floor. The incline is not proper towards the outlet.

Been coming here often, will continue in future too. Like the heritage around the property...the fact that it's a star hotel but it's so open and it's not uptight like some of the typical star hotels..

The luxurious rooms are on one side and not in the middle, something should be done about the construction happening near the erstwhile bar cause it's an eye sore and the bar should have more lager beer variety in its menu, there are brands mentioned but seldom available...also the washrooms need to be more luxurious...room 108

Very good rooms with all basic amenities provided. Breakfast was also nice with a lot of options to choose from and every day one or 2 new options were added. Pool and Spa were equally good and refreshing. Very close to Varanasi railway station platform 9.

Nothing to dislike. Everything was in order. One of the rooms had an issue with the hair dryer and we spoke to housekeeping about it and it was replaced soon.

Very nice Stay in Benarés in a quiet area. Rooms and beds are so comfortable. There is an excellent car service for sightseeing and airport drop managed by Mr. Shailendra. Breakfast buffet have a variety of items and the restaurant offer a wide range of typical Indian and continental food. The property itself it’s an heritage style building, beautiful! There also a pool which makes a pleasant and relaxing time for enjoy more the place. Definitely recommended.

Good pollution free location. Excellent very helpful staff. Willing to help and guide you at each and every step. Many thanks to Mr. Shivesh, who helped us and given us our desired room, which I asked him. But it was our bad luck in changing room. Our previous room 224 was better than 321 in every aspect. I don't blame anyone, IT WAS OUR MISTAKE. IN COMEDOR, Mr. Gautam was very helpful in choosing the BREAKFAST and was very helpful and active. Thanks to all the staff, who made our stay comfortable. the cool surroundings the gardens the old royal style the photographs and of course the masala omelette and the masala tea the staff are very pleasant

it is in the quiet part of the city far away from the river it costs a lot of money to get anywhere wishing there was a regular bus 3 times a day to the ghats the nose in the garden from the wedding parties

The balcony bedrooms were good and had proper ventilation. The bathroom was also clean and had vanity kits they don’t have fizzy slippers though. The breakfast at hotel was also good with multiple options to choose from. Overall a decent hotel for the price point.

The bedroom without balcony are poorly ventilated the corridors to the bedrooms also have this issue and Wi-Fi signals were very low for our room on the top floor.

From check-in to check-out everything seemed to be perfect at Surya Kaiser Palace. The staffs were extremely cordial and accommodating, allowing me a late check-out. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. The room was extremely cosy, with the housekeeping making it super clean every day. The in-house restaurant served delicious food. Even the spa and wellness centre was quite relaxing. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and I'd strongly recommend this to anyone travelling to Banaras.

The location is what seemed to be the biggest disadvantage to the hotel. Being near the railway station is a boon, however, you can easily be duped by auto drivers who will charge you anything between 100-200 INR for a 7 min ride to the hotel. Ideally, with the rise in prices, you shouldn't pay more than 100 INR on an auto or 60 INR if taking an electric auto. Also, it is best to exit via platform 9 instead of platform 1 to avoid traffic and reaching the hotel faster.
