The suite is very spacious, clean and well-designed, also perfectly soundproof so you can be sure of having peaceful rest. It overall vibes are modern, elegant and cozy. The staff are also very kind and helpful. Cilantro restaurant on the ground floor offers a wide choice of dishes: veg and non-veg, Indian, Chinese, and Western. The food is delicious and comes in generous portions (cooked by Chef Jitendra Pal). The staff are very polite, friendly and attentive. I was mainly served by Raju Singh and his service was excellent. Thank you everyone at Fern and Cilantro restaurant for the great experience!

The rooms were clean however there were too many mosquitoes in the lobby area. Front desk staff and house keeping would not buy or use mosquito spray to kill turn off.

We booked 6 rooms in total one of which was for our personal driver and security/ assistance. Our rooms also included breakfast for all guests. However when we came down for breakfast the member of staff at the breakfast area desk wasn’t happy about our driver eating with us. Member of staff through that he’s was eating without paying, we then showed him that all room included breakfast and he is one of the guest. Overall that member of staff was not pleasant to be around

The interior of the hotel is much more inviting than the exterior, and the restaurant on location is convenient, especially considering how far it was from Banares (or Varanasi) city center. Restaurant had a lot of options for Western and Asian travelers, and was open late, which helped after a long day of excursions. Room was comfortable, well stocked with affordable snacks and beverages, and a good value for the price. Staff was helpful and patient with us as we were in and out for excursions each day.

Location was a little further from Banares (or Varanasi) city center than we expected, and, during rush hour (which is 9a-10p) the trip into the city was significantly extended. Additionally, the bathroom was slightly outdated and needed some new grout lines. There is not much to see in the immediate area of the hotel, so no great views, and a wedding procession outside of our window was quite noisy as we were on the street side of the hotel, so note this when selecting a room for your visit.

The location is perfect, just a stone throw distance from Sarnath heritage spots. Nice clean hotel. Nice rooms & good food . Good staffs.

Food is overpriced & less options. I checked in around 9pm & next day they asked to check out at 12, refused to give an hour which I needed as it was difficult to visit the Sarnath heritage spots quickly with my wheelchair bound mom in the morning. The reception guy very rudely refused to give an hour extra time for checking out around 1/1:30pm instead of 12 noon.

The Fern Residency has nice clean rooms with good beds. The restaurant is good and it has a nice rooftop bar with a pool. The staff in the restaurant was friendly

The staff at the reception is not very helpfull. We asked to arrange a taxi in two occasions and the only thing they did was to give a leaflet of a taxi company. The hotel is also far from the Varanasi centre. At least 30 minutes drive.

It’s was up market, there was the cleanest pool! The staff were very approachable and always checking if I needed anything. I loved in fact that there was staff on each floor so if I needed anything it was extremely prompt! The room service and food in the restaurant was yummy! I didn’t get sick l, which is fabulous! There was always bottled water available!

Location is slightly out of town, but it was super secure so that’s a bonus!

An excellent hotel within walking distance of Sarnath archaeological site and museum. There is a good restaurant on the ground floor and a bar on the rooftop patio. The pool is still under construction or repair and will be a welcome addition. Staff are helpful and some speak very good English.

It was close to all the important tourist attractions of Sarnath. Good spread of food at breakfast and meals.

Our room smelled of Cigarette smoke though it was a non smoking zone. We called the staff but it couldn't be contained. The Supervisor himself came and attended to the issue. Also they were always short on cash when returning balance money for any item purchased. Though the change to be returned wasn't much, it should not be the case.

Staff were courteous and especially the housekeeping service was good.

Traveling time to the main temple area was longer as the initial review stated the actual distance was 4.9 kms whereas it was actually more than 8-9 kms

Very comfortable hotel. The rooftop pool is lovely with great views. Very good food and a nice cocktail bar. All the staff were very kind and helpful. Nice location close to Fort Kochi.

No fault of the hotel, but the local mosques have loud PA systems which wake you up at 5am! Perhaps the tourist office could persuade the imams to have more consideration for their neighbours. Or could the hotel install double glazing?
