I booked a superior double room in mid-January. Pros: The internet is fast. All the staff are friendly, professional, and helpful. Quiet even though the location is near a main road. The room is cleaned daily (bed sheets are replaced daily, towels changed, etc.). There’s an iron and ironing board in the room. A hairdryer is provided. Toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, and shampoo are available. A minibar is refilled daily. There’s no refrigerator, but you can store food and drinks in the restaurant’s kitchen. There are souvenir and snack shops near the lobby. I used the swimming pool, and it was quiet almost like having a private pool. The hotel is located in front of presidential palace and kebun raya bogor is 10 minutes walking distance.

Cons: Before staying here, I had read reviews that the hotel is an old building. It’s true that the rooms and bathrooms look old, but they are clean and well-maintained. The hotel need modernisation. This is a historical building, and I hope more people stay here so that this historic hotel can continue to exist for generations to come and so they can afford to modernise everything. I will stay here again if I visit bogor in the future.

Located close to the Palace and Gardens and within easy walking distance of Bogor Railway Station. A large and historic building,with remnants of grand Colonial past but modernised and popular as a get away from downtown Jakarta. We found it a great mix of history and modern hotel needs, and well placed to visit the grand old Bogor Gardens.

The function centres and food areas seemed to be geared towards external groups and, though high quality, often excluded hotel guests, so we had to use the, very ordinary, in house, cafe service. Bit of a Jakarta based social club.

Breakfast was very good with a large selection of local food. The staff were very friendly and helpful The hotel is opposite the Bogor Botanical Gardens, but the main entrance to the gardens is about 1.5 kms away. Given the amount of walking we did in the gardens (it is very large) we didn't find this a problem, but others might want to take this into consideration if planning a visit to the BBG.

The breakfast was ok, variety was ok. The place for bfast was a tad small though My room was at the furthest part so I like the quiet the hotel staff provided.

It was quite an old hotel :) But the name suggested it.

Close to the Botanical Gardens and the building is a good looking colonial style.

Breakfast is excluded from the price. Room437 has a secret smokers joint right outside the window.

Near the park a d interesting walks.

Nothing worthy of complaining about.

The staffs were exceptional, from reception, bell boy, gate boy, restaurant, very helpful even with many extra request, very friendly, and fast response. The pool was nice and even has clear info about the wate pH. Fun area for kids, location is nice in front of the Bogor Palace. The price was very reasonable, I had a problem with my arrival date but they were happily helped me to adjust my booking which I was grateful for.

The bathroom is a bit old and the shower length isn't long enough to where it hung so it was weird and the bath also pretty old but other than that the amenities are sufficient.

the staff in particular took great care of us, in particular when we left without laundry they were doing for us. Breakfast buffet was good, except for the choice of tea flavours.

the hot tap over our bathtub ran continuously; the water could not be diverted to the over-bath shower head. there were stains (yellow dribbles) on the walls of the room, and the bathroom door was swollen at the bottom due to water damage Chicken cordon-bleu from the cafe was dry and hard, and in general it had insufficient seasoning and little flavour. Mie, on the other hand was tasty and well prepared. a range of tea bags was provided in the breakfast buffet but did not include standard Western flavours (eg English Breakfast Tea), but this was provided on request.

Great location of the hotel, as well as the service. Also the bathtub in the bathroom was pleasant and good Wi-Fi connection!

Hygiene; sadly, my room was just not clean. Long hairs everywhere, the sheets didn't smell fresh, and also the glasses were looking dirty. The crane in the bathroom didn't twist properly, and I couldn't find a way to turn the lights on the bed stands on and off (so I had to either unplug them or twist the lightbulb). This might be a matter of taste, but the continuous, same tunes in the background everywhere in the hotel, got a bit on my nerves.
