We like Cikini so the location was great. It's a pretty fancy hotel (for our standards) and everything was comfortable and as expected for this price range.

We had some issues with the shower, the drains seemed to not function properly, almost flooding our bathroom. The response wasn't wholly satisfactory (they addressed it but it didn't fix the issue) and we ended up taking short showers, which wasn't great considering it's a 4 star hotel.

Facility Room size and bed

The room is none smoking but smells cigarettes first day, i thought the previous customer was smoking, next day same strong smell, i made a complaint, and thanks to Pak Arie who responded and make sure it was fixed The other issue happened at check out, i called 30 mnts before my planned check out time to request certain car (taxi) size as i have quite a number of bags, once downstairs the receptionist seems didn't get my order correctly or just wanted me to use the hotel car that was not fit for all my family and luggage, which led to 30 mnts delay and make us rush through airport security check in and boarding to be able to catch the flight

Amazing hotel staff. everyone was very friendly. The pool was nice even though it was always busy, its a nice pool! The gym was great! had everything you needed to get a workout on in and all the equipment were new. The free weights though some were missing. hope someone finds them. The rooms were very well designed and comfortable. One of the most comfortable bed we had so far in a hotel. The coffee and bottle of water and water boiler is a nice touch. Plenty of light and plug outlets. Closet space, hair dryer and the bench for suitcase was a nice as well.

The clean towels did not smell good. They were clean but all the towels smelled bad. Every time you turned the shower on, for about 10 seconds the water smelled really bad. not sure why then it went away. For one day in our 8 day stay the wifi was really bad and not workable. I think the place was fully booked that night. Lastly wasn't too happy about the location. Going out at night ,a lot of people were screaming and yelling at my wife. A lot of homeless people in the vicinity specially around KFC next door. She did not feel comfortable going out by herself and we travel for a living. Take it with a grain of salt.

It was very clean and comfortable

No English speaking staff floating at breakfast so take your phone for google translate. Poached eggs for example took 20 minutes to make. Also no option of hard / runny eggs etc . One toaster to service entire hotel at breakfast time .

Nicely decorated and spacious rooms, lovely big bed. Nice shower. Extensive and good breakfast buffet. Also the children's buffet with chocolate fountain I would have absolutely loved as a child. Good location for getting out and about on foot. Also a cosy lobby. The pool is nice to refresh and has wide opening hours.

Small things: I would prefer massages in the spa instead of in the room. Room service and drinks at the pool took a very long time to arrive. But these are just minor details.

Excellent hotel at a great price. Amazing breakfast with lots of options. They are alternating every other morning with Chinese and Japanese food. Good coffee and sweets. Daily freshly blended smoothie. Lots of restaurants in the area. We used Grab app to have food delivered at the hotel, as it is hard to walk around with the Jakarta crazy traffic. Motorbikes and cars barely stop at green light for people to cross the street. We also walked in the area to the banks, to order food from nearby restaurants, but not too far. Not dangerous to walk at night. Close to city center.

I was thoroughly impressed with the reception staff during my stay. Their warmth and welcoming demeanor stood out from the very beginning. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel not just for its location or affordability, but predominantly for its exemplary staff. Their professionalism, training, and impeccable behavior made them always available and eager to assist. Their dedication truly resonated with me, and I’ve genuinely grown fond of this wonderful team.

Everything is perfect

Wonderful staff, helpful with everything. The room was great, extremely comfortable bed, good office area, and armchair to relax. Large closet including iron, safe etc. All the wall plugs were suited to fit all international plugs, which is a great detail. Water pressure was good, 24/7 hot and cold water, and the aircon worked great. Breakfast was very good, had a wide variety of both local and international options, fresh juice and smoothies, coffee, tea, etc. The gym was decent, used it only once, good for a quick workout. Some machines, some free weights, and even a boxing bag. Location was good for me, I walked around a bit, and it was close to where I needed to work.

The hotel bar was very overpriced, like, I paid more for a shot of whiskey than I do in Australia.

I love everything about the hotel! The room was really spacious and so was the bathroom! The breakfast spread was superb and had a lot of varieties. The location was accessible by car, train and very near to Bundaran HI as well. Got a lot of great restaurants, cafes and amenities nearby. Will surely comeback to this Novotel Jakarta Cikini when I'm in town. Not to forget, the hospitality provided by the staffs were also top notch, they never failed to entertain your queries with a smile. It was a really great experience for me and my family at Novotel Jakarta Cikini.

Good quality hotel. Location was good, nice area. Cikini Train Station is close - I was able to catch a direct train to Bogor. Nice breakfast, plenty of variety. Enjoyed a swim in the pool and the Gym looks fine.

They play this annoyingly cheerful music in the corridors and it seeps into the rooms. Tried the beef ribs in the restaurant but they were very tough despite the tasty broth.
