We loved the whole set up here, with the accommodation right at the water's edge and the beautiful grounds. We had the opportunity to stay on the new houseboat, which was fantastic - felt like were in the Maldives!! - and also in the cottage, which was really gorgeous too. They really take care of the accommodation and facilities here. Both accommodation options are thoughtfully arranged and each has its own kind of charm. The team that run the place are so friendly and the atmosphere here is just so relaxed. It was an amazing place to kick back and relax. Breakfast every day was great. They do a great oatmeal with fresh fruit. Koko is a great host, really responsive via Whatsapp, and was extremely helpful in sorting out our ferry tickets to and from the island. You can walk into town in about 10 mins - it's an easy walk but maybe bring a torch for the walk back after dark just for one small section of the road. There are also a couple of little warungs close by (check out the one up on the road to the left, as you walk towards Bens - they do the best local food, we are there 4 or 5 times, perfect every time). I guess the best thing about being on Karimunjawa is the peace and quiet, and Omah Alchy is a great combo of being calm and laid-back but within easy walking distance to town if you want a bit of variety. And finally.... there was a litter of puppies and their gorgeous Mum !! Couldn't ask for more :)

In all the travelling I have done, I’ve never had a homestay as good as this one. Koko (who runs the cottages) is truly amazing, always capable of organising whatever we needed (including a return fast ferry ticket at very short notice, when our previous accommodation said this was impossible). The actual property itself is beautiful - only a short walk into the main centre, yet secluded enough to feel like you’re in your own world. Forget the crowded spots of sunset beach on Karimunjawa, Omah Alchy Cottages gives you a perfect sunset view over the water all to yourself! All the facilities, organised activities and meals were amazing - if we ever come to Karimunjawa again, this will be the first place we choose to stay. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much Koko and the staff of Omah Achy - you gave us the most memorable stay yet!

Not a con, but the owner does have five or so puppies who roam and play on the property. They are really well-behaved (even for two people who aren’t massive dog lovers), but just something to be mindful of when booking

Koko and his team were very helpful, accommodating to our family’s needs, including hiring portable stoves and snorkeling gears, and organising ferry tickets and cars to take us places. Location - right by the water, the kids loved playing in the water, the adults loved rafting around and snorkeling a short distance from shore. A short walk to the town square (for seafood dinner) Privacy - peace and quiet as there are only 4 villas. We hung out mostly in the property and loved the quietness and flexibility to be in the water.

The location, the fact that the room was a boat, Coco’s kindness and help, the private pontoon with the amazing sunset view, the bar has also a fantastic view

Good to know before booking the boat: it is kind of rustic (bathroom especially), there were some ants in the room. Can be a little bit noisy at night between fishermen boats and a night club just next to the location (but music stop at 11:00 pm) But overall it was an amazing experience

The room and environment are very comfortable and definitely has the best service in Karimun. Strategic location and the staff are very friendly and were super helpful during our stay. The owner goes out of his way to make sure you enjoy your trip to the fullest. Finally, the breakfast is a winner!! 10/10❤

Not the hotel's fault, but the road leading to the cottages is bumpy, dangerous, and extremely slippery when wet. A downside if you choose to rent a vehicle.

A great place to discover the island of Karimun Jawa! Close to the best beaches, the city center and its restaurants and bars. Coco, the manager of Omah Alchy Cottages, is the best person to organize everything and to make your stay a perfect moment. Easy to travel in the island using taxi or 2-wheels

It is a very cute small cottage located right at the sea. It has a bedroom, living room, bathroom and balcony. Bed was comfy, cottage was authentic. Very nice breakfast with variety of food. Host was very helpful, gave us some tips where to go and what to do, he also helped with boat tickets and where to find the office. You can rent a scooter for a fee and kayak- this is for free. Hotel was very quiet.

This hotel doesnt have a beach. Beaches are located aproximatelly 10 minutes by scooter. You can swim in the water, but its too shallow.

Great experience at Omah Alchy! The setting is magic, the bungalows super confortable and cute. On a clear day we will enjoy an amazing sunset by the pontoon. The hostel manager is very nice and will help you with everything you might need to know or do in Karimunjawa. Plus the food is delicious Would love to come back!

Loved the place - so laid-back, spacious and open, with the hammock, the swing, all the different seating areas and the jetty. Also the free canoes! The rooms were very spacious and the beds very comfortable. The garden area was kept absolutely spotless. Koko was a really helpful person who made our stay very pleasant. Breakfasts were great and so was the availability of food at other times of day. We hadn't realised that we would be picked up from the ferry on arrival so that was a really welcome surprise!

the management is superb, the environment was very clean, it was the only place where you can spend time outside without many fly or mosquitoes, the resort provides free kayaks, I highly recommend to use it, there are many corals and fishes , it was beautiful to snorkel around the resort, ps. becareful to sea urchins. Coco, the manager will help you to book any tour you are looking for in Karimunjava, giving good recommendations on where to go, from island hopping, baby shark watching and jungle tour, the resort has everything could be possibly provided in the island, the resort provides also scooters for rent and all prices are very reasonable, we couldn’t ask for more! it was an amazing and comfortable stay, Coco also help us to book the ferry tickets from Jepara. one more thing to recommend, the food of the resort was great, they have a simple menu based on home style cooking, , we have tried to eat in other restaurants to visits to island, but we founded that the most delicious food was the one in the resort, price is cheap and the ingredients are fresh, the dining area is outdoor and fly or mosquitoes are almost absent, in all the other restaurants we went we felt very not comfortable because of it. I will stick on this resort for a second trip to Karimunjava, I highly recommend it 👍
