Our family has been traveling throughout Bali for the past two weeks and this hotel is the most unique and beautiful place we stayed in!!! All the staff were so warm and welcoming, they treated us as family, helped in booking various activities and drove us to specific locations. The food was excellent and the treatments we got at the spa were superb. The place is so quiet and peaceful and the ocean views are breathtaking!!! We will definitely return to Villa Selonding Batu in the future and highly recommend it to all!!!

The people who work for this beautiful place, are the best part of the experience. Yes, you arrive to a breathtaking view, but they are the ones making you feel like at home from the beginning. They care so much, and so fast trying to do everything we ask for - makes this place the BEST we have ever stayed at (and we travel the world a LOT!) We appreciate you all, really all of you, from the reception to the guys opening the gate, the kitchen, gardeners and massage therapists, Risma, Bagas, Yudi! The amount of work went into this property is unbelievable, and the good energy comes through because of the people who took the effort to plan it, design it, build it and work here today every day :) The owners did an amazing job, beautiful paintings, wooden statues everywhere made by locals, we really noticed all the details and thanks to the girls showing us the book, we look at everything differently knowing it all! Breakfast is delicious and generous, rooms are cleaned perfectly and if you find bugs anywhere, stop complaining - just remember YOU ARE IN NATURE! Strawberry cocktails with arak, rum and no vodka, taste like heaven! We had one almost every day haha! You really don’t need an extra alcohol in this drink. So anyway, the power of mother nature took over our body the moment we arrived and made us feel sooo relaxed, you have no choice really, just feel amazing. We love you all and will be forever thankful for our experience here! Suksma!!!

If we ever come back, we just hope that the roads leading here will be improved - please don’t try to drive here, only if you are a very very skilled driver on steep super small, slippery mountain roads. It was very stressful but we did it anyway :) They offer a driver with buggy car for about 6$ a ride, great deal, just take it! The lunch/dinner could be bigger portions and more variety, we prefered the breakfast here :)

Stayed for five nights for a family vacation (horse and panther rooms). The design of the villas, garden, and property is absolutely stunning, and the rooms were comfortable. We organized a few day trips during our stay, including to Munduk and for dolphin watching in Lovina, and the hotel was very accommodating. Special shout outs to Rizma and driver Yudik. Restaurant had a limited menu but the Indonesian food was excellent - we really enjoyed the fresh banana juices, spring rolls, and nasi campur. It was also easy enough to get to town for more options. It’s hard to beat the sunset view from the infinity pool. Outdoor spa is lovely.

Some recommendations to make our stay even better: - breakfast came all at once. We would have loved receiving coffee and water first instead of waiting for it while our food was being freshly prepared - it’s a missed opportunity to not have yoga mats on the property. We didn’t bring ours and would have loved doing yoga on the balcony overlooking the incredible views or by the pool. Having some on-site (and perhaps an on-call yoga instructor) would have been really lovely - have earplugs handy (we brought some, but for guests who did not, as the jungle sounds can get a little noisy) - central water dispenser to reduce plastic bottle use would be great

We enjoyed our stay. Very friendly owners and staff. They do everything to make you feel comfortable. The cottages are very spacious and super clean. Everything has just been renovated. The location is great, overlooking the mountains and beautiful with the sunset over the pool. Nice breakfast and very good restaurant. Fresh and delicious Our son had his birthday during our stay and the staff had made a nice cake for him. If we are in Bali again we will definitely come back!

The setting was very beautiful and serene. The villa was very spacious and nicely decorated. The staff was absolutely wonderful. They were very attentive and went as far as preparing a special Indonesian meal that our son really wanted to try. The food at the restaurant was very good. We enjoyed all of our meals there.

Even though the setting was very beautiful and serene, it was very remote and hard to reach. The road to the site was a bit challenging. Since it was very far from town and you can't walk anywhere, you are really dependent on transportation. The villa provides a shuttle to town, but it is not easy to get alternative places to eat on the spare of the moment.

Amazing boutique hotel in the hills of Lovina 😍 The rooms are really lovely, pool and the view is amazing and the staff is really friendly. The staff accomodated our every need and always asked if need something more. The location is remote and nice and quiet. You can really relax and take the time for yourself. Wish we could have stayed longer and would definately go back ❤️🙏

The wifi was a little bit slow at times, but that didn't bother us.

The journey to get here is extremely difficult, however it is well worth it once you arrive. The pool views are exactly like the photos and so much more beautiful in person. The whole property and villa are in immaculate condition. Your booking also includes complimentary breakfast, and although the menu is limited they provide the option for an Indonesian or western breakfast. The rooms are very spacious and the beds so comfortable. The staff are all so friendly and accommodating, they made our stay even more better than it already was. We wish we stayed longer, and would love to come back and stay again. I 100% recommend staying here to anyone!

The drive there is difficult - i recommend driving into Lovina town first and making your way from there. The road that takes makes you turn left and cut through the ‘back roads’ are far worse and the roads are extremely bad.

This hotel is very beautiful and the gardens are particularly stunning. We stayed in a 2-bed villa which was perfect for us and our 2 teenagers. The staff were so friendly and kind, and we loved the hilltop location. We had the sense of being in a private villa with plenty of space by the pool.

There is not much within walking distance - this is also the beauty of the hotel as it is like a retreat. You can use the hotel shuttle to reach local restaurants if you fancy a change from the hotel restaurant which is slightly limited.

Very peaceful place, beautifully furnished rooms with a nice mixture of modern and traditional. Very friendly staff, willing to go the extra mile.

Service in the restaurant was quite slow although not a lot of guests were there. The location is a bit far off popular sites and the only way to go around is by hiring a driver from the hotel.

We stayed in the Lion room with the family and loved everything about our stay!! Everything was very clean and the staff super attentive, friendly and providing an excellent service. The view is amazing, there even is a rooftop to watch the stars. The beauty of nature is overwhelming! 100% recommend 😊😊😊
