We had a lovely stay at Toro cottage. The location it's excelent far away from the busy streets next to the port, so it actually gets quiet at night time. Being far away from the port, it's very central so it only takes you 15 to 30 mins to drive anywhere around the island. Ray the host it's an AMAZING guy EXTREMELY FRIENDLY and ALWAYS SMILING super interesting guy, really he made our stay so so easy, we owe him so much, without him our stay at nusa penida would not be the same in any way. First day I had the banana pancake for breakkie, I like it with honey and lime, he didn't have lime so I said it was ok and thought about getting some for the next day, obviously I forgot with the busy schedule, but he didn't! The next day he brought it straight away I didn't even need to ask. Cheapest scooter rental in the island, and not the small one like scoopy, a Honda 125cc. Cheapest tours, you book with him from one day to the next and he sends you: the location of the meeting point, transfer if you need it, books everything for you and sends you all the pictures in the end! Hassle free all the way with the company with the fastest boats in Nusa Penida. Everyone in the staff is so friendly, they go above and beyond to make your stay special, he even came and removed a giant spider that was next to our room when we asked for his help. The cleaner everyday will make your bed and clean your room unless you advise them not to, they changed our towels for fresh ones everytime we asked straight away. There's a temple near by so the smells of incense and sounds are great everytime you drive by it! There are restaurants 5 min away, one called kitchen steak with the best fruit juices and another 1 min away that even does free delivery to the cottages from 10am to 10pm with great pizzas when you don't feel like moving from your room!

Everything was great, the staff was extra kind and helpful, the room was big and confortable, the shower warm, the AC quiet, the breakfast was a really nice extra and the pool was clean. Good dinner options within walking distance.

On the pictures we cannot see that there is a passing road just next to the entrance. The place is a bit old, so it not ideal if you want a honeymoon vibe the relax. However, for us as backpackers it was a really nice treat.

I really enjoyed my stay here in Nusa Penida! The room was very spacious and clean. AC worked fine. There is a nice pool situated in the mini jungle of beautiful Bonsai trees with sunbeds to chill after a long day exploring Nusa Penida.🌴 Staff was super nice, very kind and always keen to help! I felt very welcomed there. 😊 Breakfast was simple, but yummi. There are several options you can choose from. Loved the fresh juices! The location was very convinient too, 30min to famous spots such as Kelingking Beach, Broken beach or Angel’s Billabong. You can hire a scooter directly in the property for a really good price. There are few walk-distance warungs in the area (Street Food was my fav!) but to hire a scooter to get around the island is def recommended! The cottages are just near the road, yet in the night it’s very quite and you don’t here any noises (except of the geckos and frogs😄) They also provide taxi services and snorkelling trips. The value for the price is definitely great! I had an amazing time. 😊

The tap in the bathroom was a bit broken. But that was just a little thing. Otherwise everything was great.

Very cosy guesthouse. The pool is really nice. The room is spacious. The bed comfortable. The staff is the best. Very flexible, helpful and accomodating. They represent well the warm Indonesian hospitality, and even above and beyond. The guesthouse is inland. About 15 min to the main village by scooter. However it's very convenient to go around, being central. A few delicious Warung down the street. Warung Street Food and Warung DJ.

Nice room 3km up the hill from main harbour.Nice comfy bed and good air con with a nice outside area to sit on and enjoy the complimentary breakfast each morning.They rent good motorbikes and it’s well located to explore rest of island.They organised us a taxi both ways to the harbour and a special mention to Ray the manager guy- so happy,friendly and helpful- a real star

The host was really nice and helped us with everythings. We had great breakfast and were able to rent a bike directly from them which allowed us to visit the island. They even gave us tips what to check out. The crystal beach was 10 minutes from the cottage, with amazing sunsets. Overall a great place to stay if you visit the island!

The AC in the room was a bit loud, but nothing unbearable.

We stayed for 3 nights and I must say we really enjoyed it. The location is very quiet and the rooms are very clean. The hostess Ray is a wonderful person who takes great care of guests. The homestay offers comfortable accommodation for a very reasonable price. The breakfast is good. I can only recommend this accommodation and would love to stay there again.

The place is really relaxing, and the staffs are soooo amazing, Special mention to Trio who show me around the Island. (Since in Nusa penida, they don’t have gojek or grab, and i don’t know how to use bike) Trio became my driver for 2 days!!

The place is just beside the highway, so you would hear the vehicles, but at night it’s very peaceful.

Each room is a stand alone building (no adjoining rooms). The rooms are lovely, very comfy bed, sockets beside the bed, plenty of space, hot shower, lovely veranda outside overlooking the pool, within a beautiful garden. The breakfast was nice. It is beside the road (same everywhere), but the road becomes very quiet from 7pm. Didn't hear any mosques or cockerels in the morning. The staff (Yogi and his sister) are really friendly. Yogi can organise everything for you from bike hire to boat/ferry trips at a reasonable price. He offers transport from the ports for the same price as a local taxi. The property is about 10 mins ride outside of the port and town, hence it's quiet. If you don't have many bags, hire a scooter/bike from the port and off hire when you leave. If not arrange transport through Yogi. You will need transportation around the island, either by bike or hired driver. If you don't have transport then there is a nice little restaurant 3 mins walk away called Street Food. If you have transport I recommend the next restaurant Warung DJ for nice food and amazing chocolate milkshakes! But it's not safe to walk there.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast is simple yet tasty. The guest house is situated in a very central area, close to many good restaurants and strategically positioned between the main attractions of the island.

The room was clean, although the floor was a bit dusty. Another aspect that could be improved is the noise from the AC compressor outside the room. It causes the metal structure to vibrate and is noticeably louder during the night.
