Really nice common areas with peaceful Koi pond and outside seating. Staff are a bit shy but friendly, if you have questions just ask. Looks like they've taken past complaints seriously and the place was kept clean when I was there. Rooms had A/C, Overall a very pleasant place. Also, I booked a Bromo tour with them and their pricing was fair and the same as other places. One reviewer complained about the Ijen tour being more expensive than Ijen Backpackers. It's not really because it includes the transportation to get you to the other town which is over 4 hrs away. I did this in reverse with Ijen Backpackers doing the tour with them and then catching a ride to Happy House, the tour was 300k for weekday (more $ on weekends) and the ride was 150k so it adds up to 450k which is what Happy House was charging. (Obviously pricing can change). Just keep this in mind when booking tours in different cities as Bromo and Ijen are nowhere near each other so transportation and sometimes lodging costs are included if you are booking from further away. Also the Bromo sunrise tour is an overcrowded sh@#show (too many separate tour jeeps scrambling up the mountain) so if you can go not at sunrise it might be more pleasant.

The noise complaints about the mosques are real, it didn't really bother me but it is definitely the loudest most intense praying you'll hear. With my windows closed and A/C on I slept fine.

This hostel had a very very nice and kind staff. They so helpful with my problems and they can give me a solutions So, this is my good experience to stay in this hostel

The rooms were overall kept in great condition. I stayed in the 8 people bunk and there was even a curtain by the bed which allowed you to maintain your privacy even while staying with other strangers. The hosts were friendly and responsive (when I needed help to catch a bug...). They also did frequent housekeeping and I would sometimes catch them around the house sweeping the floor or cleaning the tables. The interior design of the property was also very pretty and pleasing to the eyes, so you will be able to take some very pretty photos here!

If you are a light sleeper who intends on taking naps in the late afternoon or evening, you will be able to hear music from the mosque nearby! This wasn't a huge problem for me as I was not affected by it, but I think this would be a good heads up for anyone who may deem this a concern!

First of all, it was very clean. When Dhika Hostel suddenly canceled my reservation, I was very upset and moved here. When I saw this place, I said, I'm glad I came. It has a wonderful architecture and common area. The rooms are clean and the staff is good. They helped me with tickets etc. There is only a mosque nearby and it constantly has noisy rituals, which was very difficult. Although I am a Muslim, the noise bothered me. But it's not about the Hostel. It's not their fault. I think it's worth staying, I liked it

Mosque noise

It's a few minutes' walk from the bus station and the convenience store. There are also a few local restaurants nearby. The dorm has AC and lockers. The beds have curtains, an individual light and power sockets. There's a kitchen you can use and free drinking water available. The common area is so nice and there's a social atmosphere. I was able to meet a fellow traveler to go to Mount Bromo with instead of going alone. Staff are chill.

No AC in the common area and lots of mosquitoes there. The 6-bed dorm is reallly small so if it's full it would be quite uncomfortable as there wouldn't be enough space for everyone to move around and leave their bags. I saw a cockroach in the common area. When I arrived there were some coins on my bed so i'm not sure if the bedsheets were changed after the last guest left...? Wifi didn't reach the dorm and kept disconnecting in the common area.

Drinking water was at disposal. The room was clean and natural. The owner was nice and had very good English. The AC worked great. We met nice people. The accommodation looked brand new. There was an option to rent a scooter. There was a new common kitchen at disposal.

No breakfast available, so it's not really BnB, more of a hostel. Be prepared for some mosquitos but we had repellent, so we didn't really mind.

Excellent value for money. Great house for backpackers, wishing to explore Mount Bromo, Ijen or the Tumpak Sewu waterfall. I had a great experience, especially with the staff who were amazing. You may come with doubts, or uncertainty about your program or your organisation, they will help you regarding your needs, your budget, and explain to you everything. I had a great time with them, they were so kind and helpful. The beds were confortable. There’s AC, lockers, and free water provided as well as a kitchen. Enough privacy. The whole place is cosy, good looking and confortable. A must in Probolinggo !

Cleanliness of bathroom could be a little bit better but it was still good

The staff is really friendly and the boss is responding very quick via WhatsApp. We booked the scooter as well as the Mt. Bromo Tour via this hostel and we even got a full refund for 1 person because my husband turned sick the night before. The tour was very well organised, I felt safe being with them. The outside area of the hostel is really nice for a relaxed evening.

We had some mosquitos in our room and luckily we brought our own mosquito net and could fix it at the sealing. It would be nice if there would be a mosquito net in the room because there are holes in the wall.

Stayed in the private room was all made of wood which was a nice touch. Bathroom area was nice size and being outside was good. The mt bromo trip arranged by the hostel was great and very easy, would recommend

The noise from the mosque next door was quite loud and for some reason went on for a long time. Wasn't an issue for us as it's early in the evening. A few ants are in the room but not major issue.

This hostel is very cute!

There is only one bathroom, ven the staff is using it… Don‘t book the Bromo & Ijen Tour there! I did barely get informations. First he said u will stay in a view hotel at Ijen, then at homestay, in the end it was really the worst thing! Also in the tour was included to get me at Bali Malangwi! In the end I had to buy the ferry ticket and going by myself to Bali Ubud… If you wanna stay at the hostel - thats nice, but don‘t book the tour there!!!!
