This is a beautiful hotel, clean and well kept. The bed was fantastic, as can be expected of a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ hotel. The bathroom was amazing. Gym was well equipped and the pool was good as well. I liked the free afternoon tea. Food prices and room service were good.

Some staff members should be a little more attentive to the guests needs. A guest should always get free drinking water. The breakfast seemed to be all over the place in the large restaurant and the staff does not bring coffee or tea to the table. The food - especially the soups - were not hot when served. Overall, the food quality was rather disappointing 🫢 The gym equipment needs cleaning.

The hotel is unique and beautiful. The breakfast is good. The hotel provides a complimentary afternoon tea everyday for the guests, which is a great idea. The staff working there are amazing, they are helpful and professional. A big thank you for the receptions who managed to give us great help and service during our stay.

I saw a house lizard/gecko (cicak) in the fruit bowl during our afternoon tea. I informed the staff who immediately changed the whole thing (very fast and good response from her), but this also means that the hotel needs to improve their safety & hygiene level. I went to the Playground for kids and it was dusty as well.

The rooms are big & clean with comfortable beds & pillows. We got rooms facing the main road and the soundproof is good. The pool & sitting area in the verandah are very nice with good internet connection.

The breakfast is so so. Most of the food is too salty. One afternoon when we were having the complimentary afternoon tea, some of the hotel staff were sitting there too & smoking which bothered us. It would be good if they make it smoking free area as there are children around.

What an excellent hotel, highly recommended! Very friendly staff, colonial style rooms with a lot of space and windows that keep the noise out, an awesome restaurant at the rooftop with outstanding service and a big variety of food and drinks at the rich breakfast buffet. The afternoon tea and coffee around the pool make you feeling like in a colonial period. The manager took care of us personally. When we arrived, we could turn the fortune spinning wheel to win prizes on the occasion of the first anniversary of the hotel.

The information about opening hours of sights given by the receptionist was not fully correct. The bathroom is big. I was missing hangers next to the washbasin.

The Mahalaya is brand new and very beautiful, an old-looking (but new) building that is beautifully furnished. We loved it here, especially the pool area and the stunningly beautiful restaurant, both on the higher floors. Staff are kind and competent, and we felt very happy here. We had breakfast and dinner here and were very happy with those, too. We did not expect this hotel to be on such a high standard, it is really good value for money.

Many rooms have connecting doors, and those, unfortunately, are not sound proof. This should be improved, one does not want to listen to the neighbour's TV. The outside walls, however, are sound proof; our room was towards a street, yet you could not hear anything.

The breakfast was comprehensive with many options available. The location was close to the train station and many other sights. The staff were simply awesome and greeted us warmly from the start. The hotel was beautiful and the pool was refreshing. Our room and bathroom was huge and spotlessly clean. They provided us with a free lift to the train station afterwards.

The soundproofing between the rooms was inadequate.

The classical style, especially the lobby and restaurant were very well done. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Everything had fluorescent lighting, might sound a bit whiny but if they had chosen a more traditional, yellow-ish light the entire place would feel more authentic. Fluorescent lighting makes me think of a factory.

It’s a beautiful hotel with comfortable, clean & big room. It’s not located in the most pleasant place in Solo but it’s safe, convenient and you can get a glimpse of how the local people live. The staff members are helpful and always greet you with smiles.

The food is not the hotel’s strong point. The menu from the pool bar is all fried stuff, the hot food from the breakfast and restaurant are salty and oily. Very limited options for vegetarian.

Awesome hotel, with lovely dining and breakfast hall. Food was a bit below par, but overall ambience excellent, and decent rooftop swimming pool. Nice bedrooms, with comfortable beds and really spacious bathrooms.

Food could be improved - both dinner (meat was tough) and breakfast (esp. bread and pastries)

Spacious room, clean, friendly staffs and beautiful colonial style....Thank you for free tea/coffee + snacks time every afternoon..... and various jamu/herbal drink during breakfast time? 2 thumbs up!

Please remove all artificial flower/trees :-).... use real orchid and other real greenery Another note: please be careful to set d key. We just checked in for 10-15 minutes when other guess (small family) unlocked our door and ready to enter our room.
