Our stay at NIHI have been beyond amazing. We stayed at 2 different villas: Lontoro & Lamba. Reaching NIHI was very smooth & hassle free thanks to the hotel staff located at both airports: Bali & Tambolaka. Upon arriving at bali airport the staff have already prepared the boarding passes & took care of our check in luggage without requiring our presence at the checkin counter. We were escorted through the customs to the gate and the staff stayed around for any help until we started boarding. Arriving at tambolaka we were welcomed by NIHI Staff and we waited a really short time at the lounge while they took care of our luggage. Then we got into NIHI’s amazing safari car equipped with wifi, drinks & snacks. We reached our destination in one and a half hour. Regarding our stay, the rooms were spacious, clean and air conditioned. It was all inclusive (breakfast, lunch, dinner) even room service! The staff was very responsive on whatsapp before arriving since we had few questions to ask and even after arriving our guest captain Maxy was very available, helpful and quick. All staff members were friendly, smiling all time and were addressing our needs. The spa experience was beyond amazing. They took us to the spa by safari cars since it’s located out of NIHI area. Our lunch was ready before our treatments with amazing views. Our daily favourite moments were at morning when horses are by the beach and we swam with them and at sunset the magical view (from our villa or the boat house) with live music. Additionally, we are plant based and our dietary requirements were very met by the chef, delicious 3 meals per day were prepared. Definitely coming back again and highly recommended. This is a great resort for relaxation. What surprised us the most was the delicious food! We met here haute Italian cuisine and very high quality, fresh products. All food is free. We were assigned personal assistants upon check-in and we were in touch throughout our stay here. The territory of the resort is very beautiful and well-groomed, the horses are wonderful. The staff here do everything for your comfort. We get free lunch after our check out. It’s amazing! We really enjoyed. And special thanks to the girl Elizabeth - equestrian instructor) We are happy to meet you)

I would like the horses to run along the beach at least several times a day, and not just one. And it would be nice if the staff gave or sold foam or bath bombs (there is none here)

Gorgeous resort on the edge of sumba island. The heart of this resort is the staff. Hands down. As an indonesian born, it feels amazing to see a resort like this has given back so much to locals. We spent a lot talking to the staff who told us their stories and how the community has been lifted since nihi was built. Clean water and educating the kids and senior staff. I hope nihi carries on bringing this opportunity to local as it is what sets a huge difference in indonesian luxury resort space. Shout-out to our wonderful kaptens Raju and marten. Esther, Mary, Diana and Monique. For showing wonderful characters of indonesian hospitality. Swimming with horse was a great experience. Their horse handlers were amazing and very good at taking pictures haha.

Only minor feedback is the gym need to be updated but I assume I'm the minorityt for using the gym on this kind of holiday 😂

Everything! Staying a Nihi is a wonderful experience. The staff was super attentive even before we arrived at the property and after they dropped us at the airport. Sumba is a beautiful island and the Nihi area didn’t disappoint, highly recommend strolling around the beach! Of course don’t miss the horses, it was dreamy. Our villa was stunning, everything was spotless. We had a massage in our room and was one of the best ones we’ve ever had! Food and drinks were also superb, great selection to choose from. We are only sad we couldn’t stay longer!

The live music daily at happy hour and dinner. Would have preferred not to have live music every night but to have some nights of eg just the sound of the sea and some nights of some local/Indonesian music. Maybe they do that and I missed it

Even if we are not fluent in English, everyone was very kind and my husband who is not used to traveling abroad, enjoyed our stay. The butlers were always looking out for us and were quick to arrange various activities. The villa was beautiful and comfortable. It was a dreamy sight to see horses running around on the beach. Of course, we would like to visit often in the future.

Everything was great, but one thing that could be improved would be a variety of Indonesian local food menu.

Everything. Treated like royalty from the booking stage. We loved our experience and our wonderful guest captains Adji and Maxy made our stay so memorable. The hotels location is situated 1.5 hours from the airport which added to us getting to see the island of Sumba and its beauty.

Staff is the best. Lots of Activities are great(Horses-Turtles-Touring around the Island). The food is excellent.

Villas could be slightly better maintained, would also like to have black out curtains.

Everything was perfect, fantastic facilities, staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the beach is possibly one of the most beautiful in SEA, perfect conditions for surfing, the food is delicious, even a doctor on site who could help out our son immediately when he felt a little funny.
