The staff was incredibly helpful and always greeted us with a smile, showing genuine kindness to every guest. They assisted us in planning our stay and recommended the most beautiful activities in the area. We traveled by car with a driver provided by the hotel, named Lucky, and he was absolutely amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We truly appreciated the hotel's lush, green exteriors, which were beautifully decorated, as well as the relaxing swimming pool. The breakfast was also excellent.

For our day trips, we had to leave the hotel before breakfast hours, so we were given a breakfast box, which only included bread, egg, and butter/jam. Since the breakfast we had the following day was an excellent Indonesian buffet, I really wished the breakfast box had something more similar to that.

The swimming pool and breakfast. The swimming pool is located in the backyard of the hotel. It is big enough and beautifully located. The buffet style breakfast is also impressive. Especially the bread as well as the cinnamon rolls are homemade, let alone Javanese food such as tempe goreng and oseng-oseng tahu. Plus, the staff are so kind and caring. I even regret having not known this hotel much before.

The airconditioners of some rooms do not work properly. We had to change the room twice. As our original room had airconditioner problem, I was moved to another room, in which the airconditioner does not work well, either. Finally we were moved to a room where the airconditioner works perfect. The room itself is also nicer and larger. Probably we were moved to an upgraded room.

Pleasant stay for family and bachelors. Suite room is quite big. Instead if some can take deluxe and add extra bed. Delicious breakfast. Lunch and proper dinner (except pizza and beers) are not available, however best alternative is Amreeta restaurant close to hotel. Hotel guys have best deals on cab facilities to airport drop off and also site visits compared with outside travels agents, therefore just book hotel and check with hotel stay for can arrangements a day before.. my kids enjoyed the pool .. the greenery inside hotel facility is refreshing.. overall good for family to stay..

The pool was great and so welcome on hot days, with mostly enough chairs for people to sit on. The staff at reception, the bar and restaurant were all so friendly and helpful. They organised laundry for us no problem. The pizza in the restaurant was great and so glad they served until 9, as we arrived late. Being able to get a beer from the bar was welcome too. The breakfast had enough variety to cater for western customers. The property was so quiet despite proximity to busy roads (apart from the calls to prayer). Comfy bed, clean room, proper flushing toilet and soaps provided.

It’s is between a couple of mosques so the call the prayer is quite loud, especially at 4am but we just used earplugs. The balcony door didn’t fit well and we still ended up with a lizard and a couple of roaches in our room. And there was only one chair on our balcony and the only seating area besides the bar and pool the seats really needed updating, they were very uncomfortable.

The location was nice as it is a quiet green oasis near the main streets by taxi . Lovely small pool area, lush gardens and outdoor cafe area and restaurant. Women are meant to wear a modest bathing suit in the pool. Laundry service available. Staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful. 2 minute walk from a mini market. The nearby call to prayer was not a problem for us. The hotel is a beautiful historic building. A taxi to Borobudur is about 1.5 hours each way.

I love to have a fridge and kettle in the room but these were not supplied. Shower a little dated.

The bar/restaurant area and pool area were really lovely, set in mature gardens. An oasis of calm. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was good - a cheap taxi to all sights and the station. We moved to a deluxe room which was much, much better than the superior room - book a deluxe if you can, it transformed how we felt about the hotel. Very efficient AC and hot water.

We initially stayed in a superior room, it was dingy, run down and needed a serious refurbishment. There was no screen/curtain for the shower so the whole bathroom got soaked and the floor was slippery. We moved to a deluxe room and that was so much better, we were v. happy with that. The coffee at breakfast was very weak, it didn't taste of anything.

After reading the reviews, we chose the Deluxe room and had no issues at all. Pool was enjoyable, the gardens are set very well indeed. It is an oasis in the city desert. Reception staff were lovely, as we're the breakfast bar staff. Good selection of foods and tasty cinnamon buns every morning. The pizza was very good, and the guys preparing it are cool. It's low season currently, so in high season the pool would get very busy I think.

Happy with everything. A little surprising that toilet paper has to be asked for, in Reception. No big deal though.

Good location, not far from the palace and ballet. Lovely open leafy garden and pool. Great Indonesian buffet breakfast. Good Pizzas if you don’t fancy going out in the evening. Really friendly and helpful staff that spoke good English. Helped us book ballet tickets, motorbikes and extend for another night. Comfortable room with balcony. Hot and cold water dispenser.

No pilsner beer available at the bar and not restocked for the 3 nights we were there. 😞 Very loud mosque nearby with call to prayer at 0420. But only minor points.

The hotel is located in a quiet area of the city but still walking distance from main attractions (Kraton and Malioboro are 30min walk, ). The room was spacious and bed comfortable. Cleaning service was ok however some improvement is still possible. Breakfast was good and offered both sweet and savoury options. Both hotel and restaurant staff were nice and helpful. The restaurant though only offers pizza and lasagna but you will find beer as well. The hotel can help organise an appointment for a massage in your room

This was a beautiful quiet family Hotel. it’s beautifully central and a quick ride away from the main shopping street. The location is like a quiet oasis in that it’s a garden hotel with so you’re surrounded in nature despite being in the centre of the city. The location has a small restaurant that does fantastic pizzas and any type of iced tea made from mineral water. It also offers a warm warm breakfast, breakfast with fruit and toast. . The staff were great and spoke good English

Unfortunately, there were two men working with a chainsaw around the back of our building. I hope you won’t disturb any other travellers. We had the family suite and the position of the Aircon meant that the person under the Aircon was called while the rest of the room could be relatively warm. But it was very nice to have quiet working Aircon.
