The pool was great after a day if sightseeing, really great for family. The staff are 100% professional and friendly. It was a pleasure dealing with them and they were so helpful in helping to plan our sightseeing.

The Yogyakarta Marriott Hotel is quite simply awesome. I arrived with high expectations and can’t honestly say the hotel exceeded those in every possible area. The rooms are beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable. Beds are very comfortable, although I must admit the pillows probably were sub standard compared to everything else. Showers were excellent and easy to manage. The facilities were top class. The photos used to promote the pool do not do it justice. It is a beautiful space with lovely gardens and fish. The gym looked great and very functional although I didn’t use on this occasion 😆 My wife and and I had dinner at the Soirée Lounge and Restaurant and the food was excellent. We also enjoyed some very tasty and well presented shisha. The hotel bar near the lobby is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Hotel is conveniently located next to the Pakuwon Mall. The two buildings are basically connected. And finally the staff were so friendly, helpful and excellent. I advised the staff that my wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they decorated the room and provided a cake.

* The hotel's staff was incredibly friendly—from cleaning personnel to the concierge, check-in staff, pool staff, restaurant staff, and management. Crossing the lobby was a walk full of receiving and giving smiles and bows. * The spacious room offered enough space to spread out our things. (We had the standard guest room.) * The pool area is nicer than it looks in the hotel-provided photos. Different beds and two pools are available—one for swimming and one with massage jets. You can directly access the bar from the pool. * Every driver in Yogyakarta knows the Marriot, which facilitates pickups and drop-offs. * The hotel is close to Yogyakarta’s ring road. This makes reaching from YIA and for trips north (towards Borobudur or Merapi and Merbabu) easy. At the same time, it takes some time to reach the city center. Adjunct to the hotel is a big mall with multiple food, shopping, and groceries offers. * The breakfast is the big highlight. The breakfast buffet offers anything you can imagine. There is sushi, ice cream, popcorn, different types of waffles, varying Indonesian food, multiple juices and smoothies, cheese, sausages, eggs… My only complaint is that the offer was too extensive to taste everything during our stay. The breakfast alone is a reason to stay at this hotel.

There is nothing to dislike about this hotel.

We had a dream stay at the Marriott Hotel in Yogyakarta from the beginning until the end of our stay. Everything was absolutely perfect: the room was big and cosy with a huge and very comfortable bed. The breakfast was from another world: so many options that it would take you a long time just to check what they had to offer. The food was excellent and the staff was going out of their way to try and satisfy every one of your needs, which made us feel very special. The swimming pool was beautiful with a jacuzzi section and the main part which was big enough to swim for trained swimmers, which was very pleasant. We had massages twice and both masseuses were amazing and very professional. We loved our stay!

We didn't like the fact that we had to leave as we had such a great time there and wished we could have stayed a few more days but we already booked our flight tickets... Perhaps one thing that could be improved would be to add a sauna, hammam and jacuzzi inside the spa

One of the best hotel in Yogya. The hotel location is close to Pakuwon Mall (although it's not connected directly, as I'd thought before). The hotel is grand, has good pools and great breakfast. I like that in our room it has two double beds, perfect for our stay. I managed to go to the Kids' Club and it was good and maintained properly as well. I have to say the best part of the hotel are the people working there. Everyone was kind, professional and attentive to our needs. A big thank you to a lady in the reception who helped finding a cajuput oil (minyak kayu putih) for my son who was not feeling well during our stay. Thank you so much!

Pleasant hotel, decent swimming pool, very solid rooms, quality breakfast, and an extremely friendly employee in the business center who printed out pages for us for work for free even though there was some kind of price list. I forgot her name but I took a photo of her and here is her picture below, thank you again and send her kisses!

we arrived at night by rental car from Semarang to Yogyakarta, and it was a bit difficult to find the turn for the hotel, and then the entrance to the hotel parking lot, it's quite poorly marked. In the end, we managed to park in a large mall that is adjacent to the hotel complex.

For a large hotel, service, facilities and amenities present nothing to complain about or find fault with, as you'd expect from a five star chain. The breakfast buffet is exceptional, even by five star standards.

Given the sheer scale and size of the hotel it can feel a little impersonal at times and service, although generally of a very high standard, can be a little inconsistent (more so at the front desk). But this is really finding fault at the margins and overall for the value, overall service and facilities it is a great place to stay in Yogyakarta and I'd happily come back again.

From check in to checkout we had 5 star service, the staff went above and beyond! The breakfast was the best we’ve ever had! There was so much to choose from but my husband just wondered to a staff member if there was beef rendang somewhere, next minute he was being told the chef would personally slow cook rendang until we came in the next morning! It was the best he’s ever had! Dyarna (I’m sorry if wrong spelling !) in the restaurant was fantastic with her English explanations- we will not stay anywhere else ☺️

That we had to fly home

The hotel is adjacent to one of the biggest Mall in Yogyakarta really, convenient. The breakfast is boasting traditional foods as well as international varieties and I can testify that the traditional ones are of original taste and really enticing my childhood memories. The rooms are spacious and when I ask for rooms to be close together, they actually gave me connecting rooms.

The housekeeping staff took my laundry without adult permission, they asked my daughter which has limited Indonesian language. Fortunately the duty manager returned our laundry with apology and not charge us a dime (otherwise, the charge would exceed the value of the laundry itself I assume).

once again, Marriott has just the most amazing staff working for them and there breakfast buffets will go down in history

rooms have bad insonorisation: could hear my neigbores talking and baby crying all night. Its not Marriotts mistake but Yogjakarta is a horrible town. So its great to hide in a luxury Hotel oasis. Lucky for booking.com that THEY have such an easy and fast website. Because even for Marriott members, Marriott Website is a desaster.
