Have been browsing around for several options before picking this one, and very happy about the choice - locationwise German Colony turned out to be one of few places in this city with very weird terrain (to put it mildly) that could be sensibly reached on foot from train station and also is reasonably close to whatever local transport they happen to have here (i.e. buses and Carmelit funicular - although around 10 min walk to the latter, at least not too much uphill). Most of other similar category hotels are located on the hill (meaning ~300 m up) and getting to/from them with luggage would have been a serious challenge. Room was newly and well furnished with well allocated space for its size (stayed in their simplest room type), large and comfy bed, decent bathroom. Helpful staff. Breakfast kind of standard Israeli fare, but probably the best from 3 hotels in which I stayed during this trip. Likely will consider again.

WiFi was usable but at times very slowish.

I arrived way past 21:00 and check in was one of the most helpful and friendly experiences ever. The reception clerk even pointed me towards a few places he thought I could still get some food (I was after a 5 hour flight and 2-hour train ride). Breakfast was exceptional. Great coffee and an Israeli breakfast with some nice added local flavours which I assumed were Arab cuisine inspired. I thoroughly enjoyed. The room was spacious, quiet and had a wonderful shower. The bed was a bit on the firm side but that is purely personal preference. The heating system worked and windows could be opened to let in fresh air. Absolutely spot-on! Location in the German Colony neigbhorhood with all of the city busstops as wel as the Haifa Central-Hashmonah trainstation within a 5 minute walk couldn't have been better. Lots of shops, snack places and restaurants literally across the street. Check out was very efficient and I walked out the door in 5 minutes.

I was on the 5th floor (room 521 I believe) and the internet connection was on the weak side. Manageable f.i. for emails or LinkedIn but insufficient to watch a movie or TV channels from home.

The staff was very friendly, and we appreciated everyone we came into contact with. Hanna, in particular, really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and to ensure that we had everything we needed and a very pleasant stay. The whole atmosphere was very hospitable. The location was also great. It's a wonderful area with a lot of great places to eat within walking distance, and beautiful views of the Bahai Gardens.

Stayed for a short stint in Haifa to visit the Bahai Gardens. Nice breakfast spread, not too massive or overwhelming. Allowed us to check in early, and we made use of later checkout on Shabbat. Nice clean rooms, accommodating staff. Located in the German colony and not too far from the train station - note the train doesn't run on Saturdays ! Make sure to strike a deal with your taxi driver if needing to be driven back to Ben Gurion.

No issues

The hotel was very clean, the room was a bit small but that isn’t the main, as the room was clean, the bathroom was clean, the hotel’s location is the best. the dinner and the breakfast was great and tasty. The stuff was very nice and kind, very helpful, they brought us wine and chocolate, and made sure it was pleasant during our stay. We will definitely return, the location is excellent in the German colony, accessible and there is parking nearby.

Good location close to what we wanted to see (the Bahai gardens) and a lot of restaurants, not sure whether Haifa has a city center in general. City seemed pretty dead to us. Room was comfortable, normal sized bathroom and everything clean. Wifi was strong enough for video calls with work. Breakfast had a huge selection, but it could improve with a bit more European stuff like cereals and oatflakes. Most of the food we had no idea what it was and for breakfast I am not the most adventurous guy ;-)

The bathroom was missing a proper ventilation. Even after a short shower it became very foggy and moist. Also we were missing a fan and a toilet brush. Not so pleasant if you're travelling with someone as you can imagine...

The staff was highly professional and answered any question we had . The hotel has a family vibe my wife got sick and the guy at the reception called a doctor for her. They were really kind and helpful. Hotel is located in a perfect location close to everything. Will definitely stay there in our next visit in Haifa . Highly recommend

Very handy location for Haifa sights, train station and cruise ship access. Plenty of restaurant options around the corner in the German colony. Modern clean cool rooms in summer heat. All staff very friendly and helpful, from reception desk to breakfast staff to cleaners. Allowed to check in early, no problem.

Sadly, there were weddings with very loud music until midnight at a venue behind the hotel on the two nights we stayed there which were extremely irritating. It would make me think twice about staying at this hotel again or recommending it to anyone.

Friendly staff, easily accommodated early check-in request, excellent shower in bathroom, comfortable bed and nice touch with box of chocolates in room. Breakfast had a good selection - no more or less than we needed.

Bar fridge in room was extremely noisy and had to be unplugged at night.
