Great location for the pier and restaurants. Nice bar downstairs. Free towels & beach chairs for the beach. Towels at the pool & sunscreen . Lovely staff.

Don’t know why they didn’t build rooms looking directly at the beach- maybe too noisy? The pool is fab, should be on the roof instead of the side but I suppose that’s the architects fault lol

- perfect location, right next to Santa Monica Pier and walkable to many restaurants - clean and spacious room, comfortable bed - nice toiletries, light but powerful hair dryer (sorry i have thick hair), quality robe - they have water machines which is very convenient - plastic-free: they provide reusable water bottle for you to refill water

- valet parking was waaaaaaaaaaaay too expensive, they charge $60 per night but for safety's sake we dare not to park elsewhere - no facility available except your room and valet parking...no restaurant/gym/pool whatsoever, the hotel is under renovation. Thus the expensive resort fee makes no sense at all. - front desk staff was absent when we check out in the early morning...valet parking staff told us to put leave the room keys on the table. I felt quite unsecured about the arrangement. - this is not about the hotel but there are homeless around the area, so, beware when you are out after sunset.

Restaurant is now under renovation, so it is not available. Across the street, there is a McDonald's which opens early in the morning. There are many homeless people around that. Gym is also under renovation. Pool - the same.

Location is great, price is reasonable and staff is amazing. My son lost his AirPod as we were leaving the room one day and the housekeepers found it while we were out, made his day!

Our room was exceptionally clean and newly remodeled. Great view and the staff was very helpful. My son loved that they gave us a free water bottle to keep as a momentum of our stay. The location was amazing - easy walk to the pier, shopping and restaurants. The only disappointment was that the hotel was still under renovation. It would have been nice to have that disclosed at time of booking. A little hard to swallow to pay for resort fees and not have the ability to enjoy the facilities. The staff was very nice - we had problems with our room key - computer error - and the young lady who helped us was patient and kind. The hotel is at the base of the Santa Monica Pier and the 2nd Street Promenade - just 1 block from both and easy walking distance to everything else. Not having to hunt or pay extra for parking, taxi or Uber was a great convenience. If another occasion brings us to the area, I would definitely stay again. - PS we arrived earlier than expected and they allowed us to check in before allocated time. Very much appreciated.

It would have been nice since the hotel was under renovations, to have the resort fees taken off or at least been given a discount since were not able to use the full facilities.

Very spacious, comfortable and clean rooms. The hotel is new and very beautiful, very well located. It has a well-equipped gym, a nice pool and they lend skateboards and surfboards. The staff are very helpful and polite, especially Jahir at breakfast.

Light isolation in the rooms is not good. Parking is very expensive (68 dollars), but opposite the street is another one for 22 dollars. The room service is terrible, I ordered a salad and it only came with lettuce and cheese in a plastic container (it looked like it had just come from the supermarket) and the wine came in a plastic cup, the worst part is that everything was about $47 including tax and tips, which is crazy expensive.

Wow the staff here were great! They were all so friendly and also super helpful with getting us familiar with the area. The room was lovely, clean and spacious, with all the facilities you needed. We didn't use the pool or the beach but they hotel has amenities you could use for these if you wished. We were able to pay extra for late check out, the first hour was free, then we paid $75 for a further 2 hours. from experience this is probably about right!

Valet parking was $65 per night which seemed excessive!! but we had a car and no other choice but to pay! I also paid for a room upgrade which was meant to have a sea view, but this wasn't the case. I also thought it was $65 for the room upgrade when in fact that was $65 per night. I don't believe this was made clear on the site, so just be warry if you decide to do this!

Fantastic location if you want to be in the heart of everything Santa Monica. The pier (and beach) is right outside the front door but back half a block so you dont get the noise. Easy walk a block or two to the Promenade shops and restaurants. Very friendly and accommodating staff. It feels like a charming upscale boutique hotel but not as generic as so many chains. Bed and pillows were off the charts comfy! We had a king room with sofa bed for our daughter w/ partial ocean view. Would absolutely book again. Unfortunately this trip was quick and didn't get to use many amenities or the bar / food services, but it looked great. In room coffee was great. Love the fire pit in the lobby! Very cute place!

The ONLY complaint is that we couldn't stay longer to enjoy the amenities of the hotel. Next time.

This hotel was in a fantastic position, close to Santa Monica pier and in walking distance to everything. It’s clean, the beds are super comfy, the shower was great and the hairdryers were good too (Australian hairdryers don’t work well in America!) We were on level 6 with a view of the water. The room had a coffee and tea machine with powdered milk and sugar etc and little ‘to go’ cups which we thought was a great idea. The fridge fitted full sized bottles and there were wall plugs next to each side of the bed to plug in our phones at night. They offered beach chairs and towels downstairs for free, there was an ice machine on our floor and all the staff were super friendly and polite.

Great location - there's no breakfast included, which I'd say is a plus in USA since instead you can go to hotel restaurant which serves great food. There's plenty of nice places to eat nearby. The location is just perfect, also if you try to get to Downtown LA via metro system - the Santa Monica station is less than 5 min walk from the hotel.

The coffee machine in the room was bad. You're supposed to also make the tea with it but it smells like coffee - it looks like the machines aren't cleaned as often as they should be
