This is an immaculate, well situated hotel a block from the beach and surrounded by restaurants and stores. The breakfast every morning in their lovely main floor living room was great! Rooms are not large, but perfectly sized for even a week’s stay. Housekeeping was excellent. Free beach towels, umbrellas and chairs too and coffee, tea and cold tea and water available all day. This hotel is a wonderful value.

We had a very pleasant experience staying at Vive hotel Waikiki. Our first stay was for a week in a Junior Suite Ocean View room, and we were very happy with it. The size of the room was perfect! It was clean, well-maintained, and the daily housekeeping was excellent. The room had a spacious bathroom and a view of the ocean. The location of the hotel is unbeatable—you can walk to the beach in just 5 minutes, which made our stay incredibly convenient. Additionally, there’s an amazing poke place, Maguro spot, located right across the hotel, which was a delightful bonus. It’s hard to imagine a better combination of location and quality for a stay in Waikiki. The staff were friendly and always ready to assist, which added to the overall comfort of our stay. After spending a few days on the Big Island and Maui, we realized even more how great this hotel was in terms of service and overall experience. We decided to come back for a few extra days and stayed in a standard room this time. The standard room size was perfectly fine—despite some reviews mentioning it being small, we didn’t find that to be the case. It was clean, comfortable, and met all our needs. Overall, this hotel offers an excellent combination of location, cleanliness, and quality service. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Waikiki.

This hotel offers good value for money and a privileged location in the heart of Waikiki. Rooms are standard and have everything you need, even bathrobes. The hotel comes with some nice perks like a healthy breakfast with plenty of options, filtered water and free coffee all day long, and free-of-charge beach amenities (chairs, umbrellas, mats, toys for kids, etc.). The beach is just two blocks away, and public buses to the airport and Ala Moana (transfer to Kailua/Lanikai beach - a must go!) stop next door. Even the Diamond Head hike is within walking distance. The lack of a pool was not a deal breaker - let's be sincere, you don't travel all the way to Hawaii to lie down at the pool. The staff was friendly and helpful. All in all, this was the right choice for our vacation in Hawaii.

We loved the breakfast buffet, and they provide coffee all day!, the AC in the room was excellent. The service from all of the staff we interacted with was wonderful. The shower had good water pressure, temperature control, and drained well. The sheets and towels were clean and folded nicely. The daily house keeping was always done in the late morning and they did a great job! Also, we were here celebrating our anniversary and we only mentioned this in a passing manner while checking in, they took note and left us a beautiful pair of towel swans and some chocolates in our room with a sweet card. The room was small but the square footage was accurately listed and it felt like well equipped and laid out and gave us appropriate space for our needs. We would absolutely stay here again!

The room was functionally well kept, however there were a lot of scuffs, scratches, and chipped paint in the room and the desk lampshade was falling apart. This did not detract from our experience but I do believe that a little touch up paint and swapping out the ragged lampshade would go a long way. The bathroom is small yet efficiently designed, however there are no shelves under the sink which seems like a missed opportunity with how small the countertop is. Lastly, the entrance to the building is underneath several of the in-room AC units, and their condenser water drips down right in front of the door. If they would install a cover and gutter on the awning already in place this would really improve the first impression of the hotel .

What’s not to like about this property! Location is perfect, staff are so friendly and accommodating, breakfast is wonderful and the free beach gear is such a nice touch! Will absolutely recommend this place to everyone I know!

I absolutely love my experience here!I stayed the majority of my time at the Moana Surf rider this time while in hawai, however I decided to stay an extra day to get a very spiritual tattoo on my birthday. I could have chosen to stay at the Moana again, but I chose to go to a more boutique style hotel at a more affordable price. The staff was so nice. It was amazing and my friend called ahead of time and they surprised me with a very nice birthday surprise/welcome. Which by the way she tried to get moana surf rider to do- Which they didn't do over the four days we were there lol. Both hotels were great But if you're looking for a more intimate home like comfortable environment this is your place! Not to mention the breakfast! It was absolutely amazing with all of the fruit the muffins and the delicious bacon! Not to mention Twenty four hour beverages on the house! Needless to stay when I come back I will bring my family and we will most likely stay here. It's literally 3 minutes walking distance from the beach. Also, the rooms and showers are super spacious and can honestly fit my whole family in both. Give FIVE a try!

Great location in Waikiki. Close walk to the beach, quiet area at night. I loved the breakfast in the morning, water stations, fresh coffee, and fruit-infused water all day, free use of beach equipment, and the friendly staff: small local eateries nearby and an ABC store. The room was clean and quiet and had a decent view. I would definitely stay here again.

Some construction going on in the hotel and near the hotel, but was not a major inconvenience.

Good location. Close to the beach and food and surfing school. Water , coffee, tea and ice in the lobby, also microwave and oven. You can get these things any time.

I found a very small ants in the room. I told the staff about it. They sent cleaning lady there to kill the ants. But 2 days later, they appear again.

The hotel is located in Waikiki (second row), it only takes you a few minutes to walk to Waikiki beach and many Waikiki restaurants. The hotel also offers free beach gear such as towels, beach umbrellas and beach mats. Our room fee also included a solid breakfast with fresh fruit. You can also get coffee and water in the hotel lobby all day. The staff at the reception desk is very friendly and well-trained. Valet-parking is - compared to other hotels in Waikiki - rather cheap and very efficient.

You have to keep in mind that the hotel is located in an older building and the rooms' furniture is a bit old-fashioned. The rooms do not have balconies. Without a balcony, towels and bathing suits stay wet and do not become properly dry over night. As the hotel is in Waikiki, there is a lot of noise from the traffic which you can hear in the rooms, also at night.
