Comes with a kitchennete, a fairly sized room and 24 hour front desk service. They were able for to hold my luggage after I checked out early. In addition they have a small pool for guests.

The location was great. The staff were very friendly. The 12pm checkout is very nice as opposed to the 10 or 11 o'clock checkouts at most places. The bed was very, very comfortable and the lanai was nice too. My lady and I enjoyed our stay very much

The building is old and the decore is spartan and a bit dated. Our room was a bit tight. The doors have large vents which allow for the other guests noise to invade your space. It isn't as secure feeling as many other Waikiki hotels are. (I live in Honolulu and stay at hotels with my fiance at least twice a month) But all in all I actually liked it more than many of the others for a number of reasons

Very helpful and friendly staff. Bed was incredibly comfortable and pillows were of high quality. Amazing location only 200 metres from the sand with everything close by. Will definitely be returning with my family for another stay. Highly recommended!

Being so close to the action on the street it can at times be a little noisy however it was to be expected in such a high traffic area close to the hustle and bustle of the tourist area. Had I been staying for leisure and not a long layover needing rest between long haul flights it would not have bothered me.

Manuel was super friendly and helped us with every request we had. The room was a good size and very clean. Since we got an upgrade, we even had a kitchen, which we liked a lot. The location is super central and only a few meters to the beach. There are free beach towels. The equipment is somewhat dated, but for the price you can't ask for more. We were very satisfied and pleasantly surprised.

The smell in the room was a bit strange, but after we opened the windows it was better.

The location is amazing, a block from the waikiki beach, lots of great food and shopping around. Whilst the pool is small, the pool area is nice to lounge in and we spent a lot of time down there reading and relaxing in the sun. The rooms are a good size and the balcony was nice to have as well. It's also great value if you can't afford the fancier hotels and resorts along waikiki.

It's great value for money, but it shows. The rooms need an upgrade in some soundproofing, you can hear everything! Whilst clean and tidy, the vibe of the rooms is very outdated with wear and tear that needs some maintenance and upgrading.

The location was quite good. I found we were very close to the beach. Only a few metres which was amazing the international market shopping centre was not too far away from us either. And there was an easy bus just across the road. To catch to the Ala Moana shopping centre. staff were really lovely and very helpful. Place was very clean

The rooms and furnishings were a little outdated but still had quite good facilities in my room. I had a stove, oven, large fridge and dishes/cups/pots/cutlery which was great for me to save a little money so I could do groceries and make some of my meals.

Front desk staff, location, the hotel and general area was safe, the kitchenette, and the room type and room location (far enough from the sounds of crowing roosters).

The Vizio tv was difficult to figure out. It was four days into my eight-day stay, before I could figure out (and only from my asking the hotel staff for help) how to find the channel guide on this tv. There was a lack of cutlery in the kitchenette, I.e, only one fork, and there was not enough drinking glasses (2 plastic, one glass), and no wine glasses.

My friends all paid over $3k at different hotels and my price was $1400 for the same amount of days. Highly recommend staying here for those who enjoy kulture over corporate hotels. Already booked for next trip!

Parking tip: There’s free parking on Monsarrat ave next to Kapi’olani park and Kappahulu street is free overnight and weekends plus farmers market on Sunday just .9 miles from Royal Grove hotel. Bit of a walk but we saved on parking costs. 😎

It was welcoming and although a wee bit dated our room was comfortable and clean. Bed sheets and bed were perfect! We were on the main floor by the pool making it easy to come and go. Location was amazing being a block from the beach and the main drag with lots of restaurants and shopping. Front desk were great and it had a homie kinda feel. Would definitely stay here for the week if we came back. Great price for the location.

Excellent location, friendly staff. One of the best beach on Waikiki was about 5 mins walk from the hotel. There are some street food cars other side of the road, they serve great food. Also, you can hire a Waikiki car (place for 2 persons) or a scooter. It surrounded by shops and places where you can eat different kind of food. We were able to leave our luggage before and after check out which gave us time to enjoy the beach. Hotel has a small pool and some beach lounges to enjoy sunshine if you are not fancy of the beach.

Bathroom and kitchen furniture are dated (or it gives a real retro feeling depend which side you are looking from) however it wouldn’t really matter for us. Bed was comfortable and clean. Room had a TV, a table with 2 chairs, a coffee table and a drawer.
