Great character trulli in a great location on the top of the most 'trulli' part of town. Good restoration. Kitchen allows you to cook but lacks some basics. Comfy bed. Nice bathroom space but the shower is very small. Good heating upstairs and down. Plentiful breakfast, though a little dry.

The kitchen lacks a sharp knife and chopping board, and you need to be able to use 2 pans together so one needs to be a little smaller. It makes it difficult to cook. Only stools to sit on in the living room, not chairs, which isn't great nor comfy. Shower cubicle is very small.

This was an ideal place to stay for our trip to Alberobello. The host, Stefano, was very easy to communicate with and he made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. He left food for us for breakfast every morning, including cake baked by his mother, and it was a perfect way to start the day. Parking was easy on the streets nearby, and we were a very short walk to the central area of Alberobello. It was nice and quiet at night since we were just outside of the busiest part of town. Also, I felt that this was EXCELLENT value for the money. A true gem in Alberobello.

The mattress on the bed was a bit on the thin side, so I felt it every time my husband moved in the night. I would suggest getting a more substantial mattress/bed. Still, it wasn't a huge issue so I would not let that keep you from booking this gorgeous place.

A cute little trullo filled with character. The host is very kind and helpful. He gave us a print out map and marked down the attractions and his recommended restaurants. The fridge is stocked up with fresh fruit, juice, yoghurt, milk and water. His mother prepared homemade cake and pastries for us to enjoy on arrival. There is no coffee machine but a lovely moka coffee maker which is even better in my opinion. The place is only 5 minutes walk from town and a further 5 minutes to the piazza. The place has a nice patio outside with chairs and tables with umbrella.

Nothing we didn't like

The property was extremely cosy and the architecture was lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay and this was largely due to the preparations our host put into the property and servicing it each day. He brought us fresh food for breakfasts that we could enjoy in our own time and was flexible with our check in and check out times. The bedrooms were lovely, especially the one upstairs with the comfier bed.

The bed downstairs was less comfortable than the upstairs one which was disappointing and the showers were quite tight (you couldn’t bend down).

Our two trulli were exceptionally clean and well-ordered, breakfast was plentiful (but not extensive). We felt "at home" in our respective trullo and we enjoyed the special experience of living inside this unusual building. Very quiet location. We heard an owl one evening.

It took a while to get used to the three keys we needed to get in and out of the trullo, but we managed it!

Beautiful Truilli and beautiful to look up from your bed to the conical stone ceiling above. Excellent breakfast with sweet pastries and home made Puglian cake. Also great selection of fruit and yoghurt Stefano the host was so helpful and drove us back to pick up our car when we got lost. Location is only about 200 metres from the main square.

Only drawback is parking is not easy but there is paid parking nearby which Stefano showed us,

Francesco is a charming host. He is kind, attentive, considerate and very helpful. If we were to go back to Alberobello we would definitely stay at Grandi Trulli with Francesco again. We truly recommend the place...not only because it really gives you the "Trullo" experience which was very unique...but because of the kindness of Francesco :) Kindness makes a difference!

Stefano was a excellent host and gave us all the information we needed for a perfect visit to Trulli, Alberobello. There were already food and drinks in the Trulli so that you can make your own breakfast. There was even some home cooked pasty's to welcome you and we got a map with all the hotspots in the area. The Trulli house was perfectly located near a parkinglot and just a few minutes walking distance from the centre.

I liked everything very much. The owner was very friendly, explained everything you need to know about the house. The house was very warm and cozy, despite the storm outside. When we checked in, he brought us cupcakes, they just saved our hungry child :)) The next morning, he allowed us to leave the suitcase for a few hours.
