It was difficult to get into the town taxis difficult unreliable bus and a long walk The prices were very high for food and drink nearly twice what we paid at our previous hotel hence the issue with going to town to eat elsewhere That being said the food was excellent

It is an excellent place for relaxation, with its own beach at very short walking distance from the hotel. For those who wish to swim, take a sunbath and read a good book it is perfect. They provided mattresses (and towels) to the sunbeds which added immensely to the confort. The sea at the Hotel beach was crystal clear with ideal temperature for swimming. Though we were there in the main season it was neither noisy or crowded. There was some mistake in the room description at the booking site, but the hotel handled it very professionally to our full satisfaction. The breakfast is difficult to top: great variety of fresh fruits, cheese, Parma ham, freshly made fruit juices, excellent coffee within a very nice scenery around the pool , to jus mention a few. We were first concerned about the parking, but the parking lot was huge and we got all the assistance. The rooms and the hotel interior and exterior (extremely large garden) was perfectly fine, functional, well maintained, clean and confortable. The hotel is at the city limits, but Bordighera center and the promenade is well within a walking distance and it is in fact a nice walk to go there late afternoon and evening. There was some gastro-event when we were there and most restaurants were having booths ath the promanade to serve foods and drinks. It was very lively and was a nice complement to the quiet elegance and decency of the hotel. The excellent location and service certainly comes at a price, but there were no hiden costs...

There is nothing really, perhaps some minor suggestions for improvement. 1. We would have appreciated the opportunity to get or to rent SUPs or kayaks at the beach. The sea is so calm there that it literally calls for a rowing tour. 2. For us it was not obvious that the hotel will hold as much as ca. 30% on top of the room price at check in for incidentals. I wish I would have know it in advance. However the hold was removed after check out relatively fast.

This hotel has the warmest pool we've ever been in, it was heated to 34 degrees! The restaurant and menu are exceptional and the staff we all very welcoming and friendly. A special mention for Sasha at the bar the reception team, restaurant team and Alessandro the manager.

The beach itself is not that great and was pretty messy with sea rubbish but we were there at Easter, perhaps it is better maintained and cleaned during busier summer months / high season. I certainly wouldn't let this put you off staying at this hotel.

The location is really amazing for a staycation! Between Bordighera and San Remo the choice for dinner locations is excellent!

Some rooms are quite old and not really good value for money; especially those on the 1st and 2nd floor overlooking some roof …(I am guessing the restaurant roof) …

Staff was amazing at every level. Location is gorgeous. Many amenities and food choices. Had a lovely massage at the spa.

Not unusual for a luxury hotel, but the food and drink prices (at restaurant, poolside and in-room) are over-priced and really add-up quickly.

Everything. The staff were delightful. The food great. The bed and linens exquisitely comfortable. The entire establishment inside and outdoors was impeccably clean and well kempt.

The WI-FI was very poor and unreliable. Having to pay extra for a front row bed on the private beach seemed a little silly given the cost already.

All quite good, nice friendly staff, nice facilities, interesting architecture, well manicured exteriors, very nice room with excellent view...

except for two things: we paid for 450Euro of treatments, the access to the Spa should be free, not charged at 20Euro per person. Even if we did not pay for treatments, with a room that costed 350 Euro, Spa access should be free, especially in the Winter! Also, the food is of high quality, but the prices are too high in the context of Bordighera and Sanremo.

staff were extremely polite and helpful, the breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve seen in a years. The room was quiet and the sea view magnificent. We stayed on the fourth floor deluxe double with full frontal sea view.

The bathroom was small and dated but to be fair the manager did explain that the renovations of the bathrooms were under way.

Breakfast selection was good.service needs improvement for a 5 star hotel.valet was great though.

The chef at the eg station is always grumpy, hardly understand english and the rest of the service staff is also grumpy in the morning and very attentive…
