Updated the room when we arrived. The suite was very nice. Luciano at the bar was fantastic! Very accommodating! Front desk staff very accommodating! The spa was superb!

The original room which I believe was a standard room was very small, tight and not clean. A lot of the interior is old and needs to be updated painted or cleaned!

The palace atmosphere was so much fun because we came to Caserta to see the Royal Palace and all of it's splendor. This hotel contributed to our mood. The swimming pool was so much fun with the statue-fountains behind. We had the basic double room that was fine since the hotel lobby, design, pool and Spa were really tops. Breakfast was buffet style, eggs, bacon, salamis, cheese, fruit, and way too many cakes and pastries. We splurged at the spa and loved all of it. Staff were friendly and professional. The saunas and pools with water jets, fountain sprays, and comfortable loungers made for a deeply relaxing afternoon.

The air con in our bedroom was freezing and nobody could adjust it.

I liked everything! I had a superior room. Huge balcony. Fast room service. Didn't have to wait long. Very beautiful hotel and territory. Enough space to park cars. Everything is amazing

The girl at the counter was not friendly. I asked her to help me with my luggage, but she ignored me. Also, people who arrived much later were checked in immediately. She made me wait until exactly 2:00 p.m. Another hour, although she saw that I was with a dog. When another employee appeared, a nice young man, I was checked in immediately.

We had a very nice two night stay at the hotel. The hotel itself is very grand a beautiful. The staff were fabulous, reception staff went out their way to accommodate two very weary travellers. We so enjoyed the Spa facilities and the breakfast was excellent, the room, hotel and outdoor pool were exceptionally clean. We slowed down our travels and spent our first full day in the spa, swimming and relaxing, it was a real tonic. We would have no hesitation staying at the hotel again. There are local restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, the pizza place next door was exceptional too. We have travelled far and wide in Italy, this is our first time in the south. The people are fantastic as is their food. The hotel location is an easy jaunt to Pompeii either by car, or local taxi to the local train station changing at Naples. Thanks to all of the front line team and management of the Grand Hotel Vanvitelli for a wonderful stay.

Lovely hotel nice pool nice food in restaurant

We had water running in from the ceiling and there was a lot of water on the the floor I asked 3 times for them to see about it and it still wasn't done by the time we left I slipped on it as you couldn't avoid it

The breakfast was very good. We had other meals: lunch and two dinners. These were excellent! Your chef is brilliant! The building is magnificent, truly like a palace. There were lovely places to lounge around both inside and out. I also drank the best Hugo of my trip here! Although we had to drive to visit the centro historico and the Reggia, we had planned it that way. Shopping was great in the town, as were the restaurants. This hotel is a delightful oasis and very well priced. We loved it!

I was very, very disappointed that you didn’t tell us that the swimming pool was closed until June 15, the day we were leaving! Firstly, it was hot! And there was no mention on your website or any other communication that your beautiful pool wasn’t available in the hot weather. This was one of the reasons we chose your hotel: the pool!

The location was good for things we wanted to do on a short vacation - the Reggia di Caserta and school shopping at the outlets and large mall. The air conditioning was a salvation in the hot weather. The pool was necessary for cool ing off in the afternoon/evening. Breakfast was ample. Plenty of parking outdoors or underground.

The pillows were not very comfortable and didn’t support my neck. The pool was actually warm on our first evening but it’s a shallow pool and it heats up with the outside temps. Still, it was refreshing on the hot days.

staff ...wonderful. there was a. young woman named Ludovica who was exceptional! she went above and beyond to find restaurants and taxis and to give advice. the other staff were also very helpful but she was delightful.

As i came to go to the reggia and parks I did not realize how far I was from the center of town. Normally to me 4.5 km is nothing but this area is NOT walkable. I spent a lot of money on taxis.

Having read some poor reviews of this hotel, we decided not to book it for all four nights of our stay, but for only the last. However, we were very, very pleasantly surprised. This is wonderful hotel, with extremely friendly, helpful staff, and lovely, clean, and indeed grand facilities. Of course it's not "real" gold-plating and crystal chandeliers. For that you'd have to stay at the Ritz and pay ten times as much. This is a lovely, comfortable, fun, hotel, with very reasonable rates and I recommend it highly. ( We spent the first three nights at the Hilton in Sorrento, and retrospectively rather did feel it was half the hotel at twice the cost.)

We booked here to be close to the airport for a car drop off and flight. Caserta is a curious town that has seen its better days so we were a bit worried before we arrived. The hotel is very grand and once inside you are transformed to a era of the past. The staff was lovely in spite of being overwhelmed by delayed travelers. They upgraded us which we really appreciated. My manicure in the spa was excellent.
