A beautiful, charming house, with super attentive and kind hosts, who went out of their way to make sure we had the best experience. The house is authentic and full of character and charm, the garden is magnificent, and just down the road you arrive at a splendid natural reserve, one of the most beautiful wild beaches i have seen in my life. It was great wandering around the small villages and towns. A beautiful experience !

The shower wasn’t very comfortable to use, and the breakfast could have been a bit richer, perhaps with eggs, or other vegetarian options… but all in all, and especially considering the affordable rate, the experience was amazing!

It’s a lovely villa in a small village Castelluzzo not far from the seaside. I liked the authenticity of this place, the incredible breakfast terrace overlooking the sea. You will most likely have to drive here, there is also public transport, but it runs quite infrequently. 7 minutes drive from Castelluzzo you can find one of the best beaches on the island in the town of San Vido. San Vido is a tourist town with lots of bars and restaurants and good beach infrastructure. 30 minutes drive away is bigger city Trapani, lots of restaurants and bars, and beautiful architecture.

We had a very good time in the property. Very calm with a wonderful, authentic, picture-postcard place. Every thing well though. Clean and organised. Breakfast was good. Location is great because you are out of the touristic place but close enough for going there by night for dinner, beach or the wonderful natural reserve. And the sunset on the montain and sea with the olive trees view is priceless.

A very very very small detail : The slam of the door or loudly speech of neighbour room could a bit compromise your morning sleep in…

We had a fantastic stay! The host was extremely friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The accommodation is located in a stunning area, offering absolute peace and quiet. The view of the bay and the sunset is truly breathtaking — something we looked forward to every evening. Everything was clean, comfortable, and beautifully prepared for our stay. Each morning started with a delicious and thoughtfully prepared breakfast. Every detail was handled with care, and the overall experience was exceptional. Highly recommended!

It is a beautiful, charming place. The pictures doesn't do it justice. The house is beautiful and the surrounding stunning. You are in oaze of nature and Sicily vibes. The house is a thing for itself, with shared living room where you can relax and read a book, a dining part where the breakfast is serverd and a balcony and patio. The room is spacious, beautiful and the most important part that is perfectly clean. The breakfast is delicious, with various sweets and jams,yougurt and fruits, as salty bruscheta with delicious topings, very good coffee, serverd on a balcony with beautiful view. Which you can use at night for watching a stunning sunset with a glass of wine. You have a shared fridge where you can store your drinks and snacks, and also you have all needed dishes for enjoying the sunset with your snacks on the balkony. The location is perfect for exploring this part of Sicily with everything reachable in about 30 minutes drive as San vito lo Capo (15 minutes), Trapani and Erice, Scopello. Also you are few minutes walk away from few very good restaurants. The owners are so warm, welcoming and nice people. It was a pleasure meeting them, and they have two sweet dogs which make the stay perfect. We hope we will come back soon.

As the rooms are close to the breakfast area it can be a bit loud in the morning if you,like us, like to sleep longer, so good to bring earplugs.

This is a great place to stay. Our host Leonardo is very friendly and helpful. He spent time telling us about his family’s olive oil business and let us ask him so many questions and was in no hurry to cut our conversation short. He offered us bruschetta and beverages when we arrived. Our room was comfortable. Good WiFi. Nice breakfast buffet. Beautiful view of the surrounding area and located at the end of the road. Room for parking cars just outside of house. Extended our stay one extra day. Would definitely stay here again!

That we couldn’t extend our stay longer!!

If you are visiting the San Vito Lo Capo area I highly recommend staying here as it is much less touristy and only a few minutes by car from the famous beach. It is also very close to other less crowded beaches such as Santa Margherita. Poggio di mare is set in a beautiful quiet area with lovely views. The owners go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and you have everything you need. You can have a drink in the evening watching the beautiful sunset from the terrace. Breakfast is also really good and parking available at the property. Several very good restaurants available within walking distance from the property.

There is a large shared fridge in the common area however would have preferred to have a small one in the room.

It gives you the feeling of living into an old castle! The view is spectacular (mountain view), the terrace and garden are great, rooms have some sort of oldies style, but beautiful... The rooms provided were spacious enough, and the owner of the house was very kind. The area where Poggio di Mare is located is very quiet...(no traffic at al)!

The parking area is located around 30 meters outside of the property. If I remember well, it takes you around 15 minutes driving to the nearest beach. :D, However, there are a lot of other pros' that can compensate this....(In my case, actually this might work also as a pro...and in specially because the road toward the beach is itself an adventure with beautiful landscapes, and during our stay within this zone, we have never experienced heavy traffic!

Beautiful terrace with a stunning view, good breakfast, nice room with well functioning AC, friendly and helpful staff, good location if you have a car and prefer to stay outside of the crowd of San Vito lo capo for example

Unfortunately it was very noisy. You can hear people walking a talking from inside your room easily, let alone if a family with small kids is staying in a room above you (as in our case- didn’t sleep well for 2 nights). There is a fridge for public use-useful! but it’s not a bad idea to label your food as few of our things went missing

Very nice place! We have been there for 4 nights and we’ve enjoyed a lot. The house is wery well decorated, offering a very confortable common spaces. The rooms are good, clean and calming, great sleep every night, relaxing breakfast at the terrace…we coul’d not ask for anything better! Also Lorenzo the owner is super kind, helping a lot when asking him for restaurants and suggestions. Everything was really good!

Although the breakfast is tasting and correct, we could suggest to add a little more of local products (prosciuto i.e) and also include the eggs from the start.
