Hotel is in the old building which looks like a castle or museum inside. The staff was very friendly. Our room was on the second floor, bed was ok, equipment looks old but works. In the morning we got coffee and sweets downstairs, which was a nice surprise for us. You can also buy a cold beer at the reception and drink it outside. There is a terrase with a glass floor and some old excavations. Definitely interesting place, weird,maybe haunted, but worth visiting:)

Probably because of recent floods there was a terrible smell from the lakes all around. But we saw a lot of flamingoes, which was great.

The place has very interesting atmosphere, it is a very old building. Also the location and the stuff profesional and nice approach are aspects that definitely deserve strong opinion. The birds

The hotel is very very simple when it comes to amenities. There is no fridge, no iron, there is basically a bed, a bathroom, an AC (a very loud one) and that is it. I am not saying this to say that the place is not nice, because it is - just be aware what you are getting if you decide to stay there :)

Very convenient close to the town of Cervia but quiet on the historic site of Ficocle. The history of Ficocle is fascinating. Staff were very polite, efficient and attentive Room was a good size with four poster bed.

You do need bug repellent as the hotel is surrounded by water!! This did not pose any problems for us but be prepared

Easy to find, quiet location and ample car parking

The interior of the hotel and room was very different from the pulpit at the top of the stairs alongside large statues and suits of armour to the baronial style bedroom with very quirky touches It was like walking into another era. The gardens and grounds looked very promising but needed some TLC

Great location just off via romea. Next door to salt fields and is very quiet. Room was big and bed was an antique with ceiling and bathrooms were modern and new. Hotel is like a museum with many antiques and outside is a display under glass of Roman artifacts that were found there.

The restaurant was closed when I was there probably because it is the Italian holiday season and they are on vacation. Great place to have dinner once the restaurant opens up.

The hotel is in a great location, it's a peaceful and quiet area, the surroundings are beautiful. It's easy to get to by car, there were plenty of parking spots available. The hotel has a very old school vibe to it, feels like from an old Italian movie - I liked that a lot. The rooms were clean, you could feel that some things were dated, but it was a good experience overall - nothing fancy, but at a good price point.

I only regret about staying one night instead of a week. The hotel is exceptional and authentic with nice rooms that have seen some history and yet spark and function well. It is surrounded by salt production facilities, which are basically ponds with thousands pink flamingo. Environment and wildlife is amazing there and we'll as amazing was our rest. Thanks for all!

There is no option between smocking/non smoking rooms. Unlikely, we had a smoking room...

The location and the "antique" vibe to it. A hotel is ok, ut something unique like the mansion and everything around it it gives a really nice vibe to it

Location is amazing, next to the main attraction: the salinas. The hotel decoration is very special. The staff is very kind. I recommend this hotel.

The location is super but it is not walk-in distance from the beach (which is an advantage because you are away from the tourists).
