We stayed at Villa Nichesola for 3 nights and it was absolutely wonderful. The villa itself is a charming blend of history and modern comfort, surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of Colognola ai Colli. The atmosphere is peaceful and elegant, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Veneto countryside. Our room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully decorated with authentic Italian touches. The bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated the attention to detail that made our stay feel special. Breakfast was a highlight—fresh, delicious, and served with genuine care. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always available to offer recommendations for local restaurants, wineries, and day trips. Their hospitality truly made us feel at home. The location is excellent—close enough to Verona for easy visits, yet far enough to enjoy the tranquility of the vineyards and rolling hills. It’s also a great base for exploring Soave, Valpolicella, and Lake Garda.

The accommodation was lovely – the surroundings and the pool area were absolutely beautiful, and our room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delightful, though unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant during our stay, as there was a wedding taking place on the property and the restaurant was reserved for a private event. We were only informed about the wedding on the day of our arrival, which meant that both the restaurant and pool area were not accessible to guests during that time. It would have been nice to know this in advance. When we brought it up with the hotel, they did eventually offer a small reduction in the room price, which we appreciated. I would definitely consider staying here again – the setting is truly stunning – but next time I’d just make sure in advance that there are no private events scheduled, so I can fully enjoy everything the place has to offer.

Property is great, has a nice pool, and located in a cute little part of town. A bit of a distance from Verona (recommend having a car/rental car) but great price.

Although we understand we were in Italy, we were quite surprised at how difficult it was to be understood in the breakfast room. One of the younger staff members could not communicate well with us in basic English and was in a bit of an unfriendly mood. Perhaps just having a bad day but we had a hard time communicating nonetheless. Other than that everything was great!

Wow what a place! Gorgeous property in a stunning area. We had two connecting rooms, both big with comfy beds and a large bathroom in the main house. On our floor were 2 other rooms/suites and a kitchen. We cooked lunch and dinner in there quite happily. Property is in a quiet little village. About 40 minutes walk is a bigger village with train station direct to Verona and Venice. We hired a car but could have managed without, suing feet and taxis! It cost about 40 euro in a taxi back from the Opera in Verona late at night. The pool area is fab. The hotel bar and restaurant are great. Ample breakfast, lovely lunches, great drinks and ice creams. Buzzy place with lots going on and lovely guests. Staff were all amazing. 100% will go back!

Pool gets a bit busy sometimes as it's open to locals who pay. Makes a good atmosphere round the bar but Husband would have liked it a bit quieter.

We very much enjoyed our stay in the Villa, although we only stayed for one night. The whole property is really pretty, the main building, the gardens and the pool area. We were accommodated in one of the apartments. We had a spacious living room with a sofa bed and kitchen. And a separate bedroom. It was really hot that weekend, but the air conditioning worked well. Wifi also worked fine. Would definitely stay again if I'm ever back in the region.

Loved the traditional furnishings, the size of our rooms and the location. Good to have public transport nearby. The swimming pool is a good size and there are plenty of sun beds. The staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. We had lovely dinners in the restaurant and there was a good selection for breakfast and a range of snacks at lunchtime. We hope to go back to this property in the future.

It would be good to have an English speaking channel on the TV.

Beautiful place, great garden with old trees, nice staff, my apartment was very very clean and as it faced an inner yard, the noise of the restaurant was no problem.

The kitchen in my apartment lacked a water cooker or a knife to cut an apple, there was neither salt nor coffee. The restaurant is lovely, unfortunately the food was not great. Still a 10, as I felt really good there overall.

We stayed for 24 nights, we absolutely loved the location and facilities. The staff were extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Having a self contained unit with a kitchenette enabled us to be independent and gave us privacy when we needed it. We loved the authentic old Italian furniture, wooden floor and ceiling beams. The pool and grounds were immaculate and constantly tended to, the effort put into maintenance clearly showed. We were very impressed with their communication and attention to detail. The restaurant/bar was great and the food was to a high standard. We were also given use of their laundry to iron after using the washing machine in our accommodation. A drying rack and hanging rails are provided which made laundry easy to do. The property kindly allowed our nephew to visit us and stay one night at no extra cost, they also provided clean linen for him. We did not expect them to be so accommodating and it was a pleasant surprise.

Staying 3+ weeks, the sofa bed wasn’t comfortable seating for daily use, the arms were loose and hard.

This was our second stay at Villa Nichesola - after finding this place years ago we always kept dreaming of coming back. It feels like a very private family space where you are treated as a guest, not a customer. We were enquiring about meal options on whatsapp (needed some vegan meals) while driving to the Villa and everyone in the restaurant knew our preferences the second we came and there were a number of options available. Located close to Verona, it is a short drive from everything you might need, but why go anywhere? The restaurant on premises offers great variety of food and drinks, the rooms are spacious and well equipped, the territory is beautiful. Thank you team Villa Nichesola, we look forward to staying with you again!

Nothing, really. The only issue with our stay was that we were there only for one night. Next time in Italy, we are staying for at least three. Villa Nichesola is amazing.

Beautiful old villa. Charming rooms. Spotless grounds. The food was really good and staff very sweet.

The loud music that was being pumped around the gardens and by the pool all day long! You market it as a classy peaceful destination - which it absolutely could be - but the music was a bit much and spoiled it a bit!
