We don't know where to start. We just got back from a wonderful stay at the Lions Hotel yesterday. We are full of impressions. We have not experienced the attention we received from the friendly staff anywhere before. Mr. Mario and his wife, as well as the young and helpful receptionist Stani, are people you must meet. How? Well, the only thing is to visit their hotel and have an unforgettable experience like we did. We didn't rent a car, but that's why Mario and Stani were always ready to take us to the desired location. they helped with buying train tickets and visiting Tropea. We are simply fascinated by their friendliness. This is the formula for the success of their hotel and that is why we are happy to recommend it to everyone. Perfect location, close to Lamezia airport, beautiful beach and pool and unforgettable sunset view from the balcony. You'll leave here feeling reborn and wanting to come back as soon as possible... It's no surprise at all that this hotel ranks high on Booking.com with a high score of 8.7. P.S. I think this beautiful hotel deserves a nicer and more modern logo. therefore, a change in visual identity, because the simple written letters "Lyons" do not represent the right association for what that hotel is.

We don't want to spoil the complete excellent impression with any remarks, even if there are any....The breakfast could have been a little more varied, but we understand that because we did not stay there in the main tourist season and it may not be possible to provide everything that is taken for granted when the hotel is full.

Beach very close,clean and seats with umbrelas are available. Breakfast is good like for the hotel with 3 stars. Always fresh coffee and warm croissants. Elevator, swimming pool, balcony with Sea view. Not really luxury, but clean with very very friendly staff. Small family hotel. If you want to rest, it's perfect place. If you search for parties, shops, restaurants- that's not the right place if you don't have a car. In case your taxi or Uber will fail, owner is able to ride you and your family based on needs. That's actually amazing.

Missing walking path into the closest cities, so walk for evening party is a bit challenge.

This Hotel is located 15kms away from Lamezia airport, so its possible to reach either through car or taxi. unfortunately there are no publich transport connetivity. Hotel has a restaurant, which provides fresh crossiant, coffee, cakes and fruits for breakfast. They also have a limited menu for Lunch and dinner. This hotel is located just in front of the sea, which makes it ideal for sea and beach lovers. we were given a sea view room in the third floor, it was amazing to experience the sea breeze and hear the waves in daylight and in moon light. Hotel Manager(Stany) is an amazing guy, he has helped us ordering Pizza and exploring Falerno (near by city).

only draw back is there are no any restaurants nearby, we have to travel to Falerno (2.3 Kms from hotel) to find restaurants.

This is a very beautiful, clean, family owned property. The owners were present during our stay. They were very attentive and gracious. The room was spotless and bed was comfy. We relaxed on the charming porch with a glass of wine and sparkling water. It was incredibly relaxing. We also ate dinner at the property. Food and wine were terrific. It is steps away from the beach. When we visit Falerna again, we will definitely stay at the Lion’s Hotel.

Good choice if you don't want to go for the !obvious! destinations in the region. Small family operated hotel cross the street from a fairly nice beach. The host ( owner is a nice guy who is trying to do all that he can to please his customers.

The menu in the hotel's restaurant is fairly basic. Not bad, but not great. Hotel is located right on a main road. That is great if you are traveling and need place to stay.

Location, room, restaurant and friendly staff made our stay extremely pleasant. Could not do enough to please my husband and I on our honeymoon. A huge thank you and shout out to Stany for organising a hair appointment for my husband and driving us there and picking us up. Also for his happy pleasant manner. He went above and beyond for us. Can highly recommend the Lions Hotel as a place to stay whilst in Farlena. Look forward to staying again in the future. Jacqueline and Romeo

Charming small family-run hotel with views across the road to the sea. Lovely indoor/outdoor lounge area and a small swimming pool. Friendly helpful staff. I would defifinitely make a return visit.

Close to the road (although they also have a few rear-facing room, which would be quieter, but no sea view). Restaraunt and bar had a rather limited choice. 2km from nearest town.

My daughter and l stayed at the Lion hotel, 2 days before we flew back to London. It is a family run hotel and the hospitality was absolutely tremendous. The owner Mario, his 2 children and staff went above and beyond to make our stay a wonderful one . All were so friendly and attentive to our every need. The hotel is in a beautiful location, close to the airport, shopping mall, lovely scenic countryside and the sea directly opposite the hotel. We are at the hotels restaurant and the food was delicious, the included breakfast offers a wide variety. We swam in the pool which a good size and well maintained. One of the members of the staff Estella, was so accommodating and kind. I was given a lift to the airport by the owners son( excuse me l forgot your name ). We had the most heartfelt conversation regarding the quality of life in Calabria, we were both in agreement how we the simple things in life make you the happiest. He had the most wonderful outlook on life , that we had in common indeed. I hope you and Vicky had a well earned holiday in Stromboli . I loved all no complaints what so ever .

Family own business in laid back town near the airport Lamezia Terme. Food cooked from local produce with tasty wine. The hotel personel was very kind and helpful. The whole beach was basically only for us. There is a pool with terrace at place too.

Railway station in Falermo is closed, so bus and/or car is a must.

The view, the staff, the parking…all great. The common area in and outside are good areas to hang out. We did not use the pool, but it looks nice. We watched the sunset from covered seating area outside.

Don’t get the junior suite, it is an upgrade and they kindly wanted to give it to us, but it is very small, closed in, and the ceiling is very low.  My husband kept bumping his head. We asked to be changed, and they very graciously moved us.
