We had a truly wonderful stay at Francigena B&B. The apartment was impeccably clean and thoughtfully prepared, with a bed and mattress that were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The grounds are a tranquil oasis, beautifully maintained and full of serenity, offering the perfect place to unwind. What truly made our stay special were the hosts. Their generosity and warmth were unforgettable they even prepared a delicious, hearty salad with formaggio for our dinner, which was thoughtful and deeply appreciated. Highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for comfort, peace, and genuine hospitality in a stunning setting.

A lovely home in the quiet countryside along the via Francigena route. The place is seriously underrated (it should have more than a 10 rating!) and the pictures on booking does not do justice to the place. In actuality, the room (2 bedrooms) feels like a 5 star hotel with lovely decor, nice sheets, very comfortable pillows (unlike some other places we have stayed at for the same price) and bed. The garden was a really a chill area to rest after a long walk and the small outdoor kitchen was functional enough for us to cook some instant foods. Host was really lovely and generous.

Nothing much really. If anything, maybe breakfast could be served a little earlier for those who want an early start to walk the via Francigena. Maybe we could have requested for it but because we didn't speak Italian and mainly used the translate app to communicate, we didn't bother asking.

I loved that this beautiful place out in the country. It was so peaceful in the times that we were there. Each morning we would take a few steps to the kitchen and have morning cappucinos and a full breakfast. The hosts were more than kind with our meager attempts to communicate. Our place had two rooms and a bath. Lovely decor and seemingly brand new. We were spoiled by the hostess making our bed and cleaning our place daily. We loved visiting the small hill towns that weren't overrun with tourists. I highly recommend this lovely place to stay.

Me and my wife stayed for 6 nights in January: our experience has been fantastic. The house is in a very quiet area, surrounded by nature. The position is great as it allows you to visit 3 different regions: Tuscany (Pienza, Montepulciano..), Lazio ("Parco dei Mostri" in Bomarzo) and Umbria (Orvieto). The family is very nice and attentive to every need of their guests since the very first moment after booking (Samuele is responsive on whatsapp; he has been very helpful multiple times answering to our questions). The room is very nice and comfortable, with everything that you need. Breakfast is also very good! To sum it up: lovely staying, at a lovely family, in a wonderful region! We will strive to come back in the future!

This is a lovely place to stay - big apartment and great hosts. It is isolated so dinner etc is not near. We were walking the Via Francigena and the host drove us to a nearby gas/petrol station where you could by wine (very good wine actually) and basic stuff...sandwiches, chips etc.... for the one night it was fun, sat in their lovely garden and had wine, chips and sandwiches...

The owner of the property was very nice and friendly, he treated us like we were part of his family. Although we didn’t speak Italian and he didn’t speak English, we managed to understand each other well, he told us stories about his beloved dog and horse and he also offered to drive us to the supermarket, to be able to do groceries for dinner and he gave us access to his kitchen and backyard to cook and to enjoy dinner there. The breakfast was top - he actually drove to the nearest bakery to provide us fresh croissants and ham, which we really appreciated, but was not needed since we were expecting a more modest breakfast. We are very impressed of the hospitality and would definitely book again at Francigena if we would be passing through the region.

Absolute best stay along our Via Francigena walk. Amazing room (and it had heating!) and lovely garden and really great breakfast. The hosts are so sweet. We brought our own dinner an enjoyed in the garden. All around one of the best places on the Francigena!

Location - quiet in the middle of the country. size of room. Helpfulness of host - we are walking the Via Francigena so we were disappointed to find that the local restaurant as mentioned in our guidebook had closed and it was a 5km walk on a busy road to the next source of an evening meal. Our host offered to drive us there to collect some food and wine, which we then ate outside as the sun went down and the owls called and the stars came out . Friendly cat.

Any supermarkets and restaurants are far and if you don’t have a car, it is difficult to get food for the evening

The breakfast was excellent. The room very large and well appointed. The surrounding peaceful.

It would have been a perfect place if dinner had been available. For walkers it means that we had to carry food with us to eat at night.
