The property is beautiful and has a stunning location. The pool is wonderful overlooking Maratea and the Christ statue on top of the hill. Breakfast had a nice variety.

Even considering the high rating, we likely wouldn’t return because the bed was TERRIBLE. Truly the most uncomfortable bed and lumpy pillows I have ever slept in in my life. For a 4-star property the mattress and pillows are actually unacceptable. I woke up after the first night with a terrible pain in my neck that bothered me for days. Change the mattresses and pillows.

My husband and I got a free room upgrade to the room with the spa tub built into the rock, and it was an amazing room! The staff were fabulous, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was tasty with a lot of different options to choose from.

The pool was very cold. There would be four or five couples soaking up the sun on lounge chairs around the pool, but the water was so cold that no one wanted to get in. The weather was very hot, high 80's, and still we didn't want to get into the frigid water. We had thought there was a hot tub connected to the pool, and there is; however, it is a cold jacuzzi tub, not a hot tub. Regardless, we loved our stay here and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Maratea.

This is truly the most beautiful hotel we have stayed in ever. It has so much character, the furniture, the art work, all add to the charm of this unique building which used to be a monastery. the views over Maratea are spectacular. The owners and staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Our rooms were very comfortable, very clean, and we had a lovely balcony. The restaurant is perfect. The area beside pool and hot tub so pretty perfect for relaxing. 10/10 all the way for this place.

There was nothing I didn’t like about this property. The owners have restored it to perfection, it has old style charm with everything you need to hand. Stunning, stunning, stunning!!

Great location overlooking the Mare Tirreno with its secluded beaches. Amalfi without the crowds. The property itself was well appointed, clean with a beautiful pool overlooking the village. We had a large suite with private terrace overlooking the village. Breakfast was excellent & the staff helpful, courteous & professional giving excellent advice on restaurants, beaches & things to do in the area.

There was nothing not to like, it is an excellent stay.

Breakfast staff need to be more proactive and trained . They did not even ask if you wanted coffee tea etc . You had to search them out. Only realised you could have an omelette on the last day as there was no menu and staff had not told us.

The view from our room was spectacular. The room itself was very beautiful with a lovely little balcony. The dining area and pool area are beautiful, as is the entire hotel, beautifully appointed with lovely art. It was quiet and perfect for us as an older couple.

We would have liked the bar to be open in the evening because, although the location was excellent, it was quite a long walk to go out for drinks or food. Also, it was difficult to get change at the hotel for tipping. Otherwise it’s a wonderful place.

This is a fantastic hotel with history, charm and a worldwide outlook in its beautiful interior design, Africa, Asia, the Middle East and even a Scandinavian corner. The view from the pool area is stunning and equally so the sound of the bells ringing in the small towns’ many churches.. Welcoming hosts, good breakfast, high service.. We had a nice room with balcony facing the town.

This was a really fabulous and lovely stay. The hotel, all the staff and the location are all very very good. The hotel is very comfortable and beautifully clean. The staff friendly and attentive. And the location, looking over the town is perfect. We very much enjoyed relaxing in the restaurant and pool area. It was an all round perfect stay.

We have no criticism at all but we were disappointed that the restaurant was not open for dinner. It will hopefully be opening again soon.

Charming setting with wonderful views of the small towns below. Exquisite furniture, ornaments and artworks from Morocco. Lavish sanitary ware and toiletries. Clean, beautiful lush linens and duvet. Delicious breakfast, can ask for light lunches, all served by attentive , friendly, professional staff.

Drinks available from fridge in room. Small bottle of Prosecco 12 Euros ( no thank you) & Water 2 (?) Euros ( expected water to be free)

Wow very nice center hotel in maratea close to the old town center very nice friendly family home running not to be missed , very clean. Nice rooms with stunning views from the pool and hot tub and nice view to see the Jesus Christ redeemer statue, owners are a blessing so kind and nice and very helpful , the hotel is only of a kind for her features it used to be a convent but they really transformed it in a cosy locanda not to be missed
