Loved this hotel, it was made extra special that we had only booked a basic room and they upgraded us to a balcony room. We were only there for the last night of our two week holiday and only booked as it was closer to the airport in the morning but what a find. Its about a mile and half walk to the array of shops and restaurants (or a bike ride, which most people seemed to do). The beach is over the road from the hotel and beds are very expensive but the hotel does offer beds on the beach at a more reasonable price but we cannot comment on this as we stayed by the pool. They had a singer on for a couple of hours (friday night) who was very good and made a nice start to the evening with cocktails. The staff were super friendly too and served drinks at the pool too which was a great addition.

We had to wear swim hats into the pool which is not a great. I completely understand this for an inside spa pool but for a pool that is outside, surrounded by trees and dust from the beach opposite is in my opinion not needed. We wondered why the pool was not busy when we arrived and then understood why. It didn't ruin our stay but I do think if I was there for a week it would put me off.

Superb location across the road from the beach. Hotel staff were professional and provided friendly, helpful service. Breakfast was outstanding, so many choices. Unfortunately there was a power outage for the whole town which lasted all night so very hot and uncomfortable. Not the fault of the hotel. However the manager gave a very generous discount plus a complimentary dinner to compensate. Needless to say, we stayed the extra night and loved it. Dinner was also fantastic. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Beautiful swimming pool too.

There wasn't anything that needed to improve. Everything was excellent.

Excellent stay and truly surpassed our expectations. Super easy to park and also navigate around Forte dei Marmi as well as the staff was so lovely. The room & bathroom were huge and overall fantastic! We were amazed and so excited to see that the room they put us in not only be very spacious, but modern, clean, super accommodating, actually have 2 balconies, and were quite impressed with the electronic window shutters and blinds too. Definitely suggest staying there as you get more than your moneys worth!

We loved our stay here! The staff are extremely helpful. The pool is very well kept (cloth bathing hats required!), the terrace is great for pre-dinner drinks (the bar staff know their cocktails!) and there is ping pong, table football and a small playground for the kids. Free parking is available, inc. some underground spaces. The rooms are large (even the cheapest ones), clean, and attractive. The air conditioning works well, the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms modern and clean. Breakfast was good - plenty of variety and really good quality. We opted for half board, because there are very few restaurants in the area that do evening meals. The dinners are highly recommended: antipasti buffet, then 2 main courses, each with 2 excellent choices, and a good selection of desserts. They do also cater specifically for kids - you just need to ask. The beach is just opposite the hotel, so perfect access to the sea. Do investigate booking beach places beforehand: getting an umbrella is not guaranteed!

Possibly the only limitations are that there aren't any big shops within walking distance, only a few small local shops and small supermarkets nearby. Taxis can be hard to find (although that's not the hotel's fault - they will do their best to get you one!) and it's a long way to the train station. If you're not half board, eating out in the evenings could be limited, as there are very few restaurants open in the evenings.

+ nice and well equipped rooms + Rooms where not too old, so everything is in very good shape + we had a room with balcony towards the park which was nice and quiet + great breakfast with very large selection of food and very good cappucino + free parking spots and garage available

in the evening there was live music in the dinner area, which might have been nice for some ppl who didn't want to talk but also with a baby this was too loud.

Great breakfast. Good but small public rooms.

Noisy road. Long walk to the town centre. Very expensive taxis! Would not visit Forte again due to the exorbitant cost of the taxi transfer from the airport! Not recommended for non drivers!

Staff are excellent especially the man running the restaurant and waiting too he works very hard. Very clean in room and hotel in general, interior of hotel is in good condition, light and relaxing.

The exterior is tired and the frontage is like a metal barrier. Not 4 star as too dated/old but pleasant nonetheless. Our room was above kitchen and bin store unfortunately so was too noisy early in the morning.

Very handy for the beach and the park for the open air concert. Room nice and large. Good breakfast. Pool looked nice although never used.

Hairdryers in the rooms are very old style and in one of our rooms had a broken tube, which was never fixed and no hairdryer replacement arrived even though it was asked for on numerous occassions over 2 days.

Staff were lovely and helpful. Breakfast was great. Very local and easily accessible. We even rented bikes and rode them to the city. Parking for bikes were much easier although we drove in to the city once and parking was plenty.

For us one night stay, but all was ok. To go to the beach you need to cross the street. At our stay they were just getting ready for the season, so reconstructions going on on many places. We are travelling with our dog, so mainly looking for the places where pets are allowed, which this place has, but does not say you have to pay for their stay. No big deal, but for some it could be. I would just add somewhere in description that you pay for your pet and how much, so at the end of your stay you are not surprised.
