Friendly staff,great location and easy to find,plenty parking all around,great coffee for breakfast,very clean,tidy,good shower,soft sheets,comfortable bed,quite during the night!We arrived late and sent a message to the hotel,all worked out well and we felt that nothing was a problem!Our dog was very welcome too which made us feel at ease.We would stay again.

facilty can use a bit of improvement but lovely quiet italian town.

The room was satisfactory, and the location OK with ample parking on the square nearby. Difficult to see how it justified a `3***` rating (see below)

On arrival, the hotel was locked with nobody present. The butcher opposite told us the proprietress was probably out. We eventuelly found our way in about 2 hours later, having walked the town in the meantime. The bedroom was OK, but no plug for the bath, bathroom shelf missing, although the shower was OK. In the morning: Extraordinary! There was no-one present went we went to the breakfast area, and no means of obtaining hot drinks - the coffee machine was an espresso machine with specific instructions (in Italian) not to touch it. When we found the proprietor, she attempted to make coffee, the machine stopped, and she told us (with no apology) that there was no coffee -- the machine was broken. The choice of cereals was limited, although croissants were OK. We started packing with a view to getting a coffee elsewhere when she did in fact appear with two coffees.

We called the hotel on day of our arrival only to be told a few words in english (corona, hospital, problem). Nevertheless we drove to the hotel from Bologna and upon arrival received a piece of paper with information about another hotel where we will be staying instead. We had to drive about half an hour in the direction from which we came. This waste of time ruined our planned evening trip to Parma. Our new hotel (hotel Alba in Reggio Emilia) looked nice at first sight and the staff were friendly. However rooms were not very well maintained. First we were given a room with a destroyed window (lever torn off, could not be closed) and after that a slightly bigger room made for people with dissabilities (according to the bathroom). Morning brought surprises too. When we walked out of our room we stepped into a flooded corridor. It was alltogether a very unpleasant experience, especially the communication was terrible.
