I picked the hotel initially just because it was along the way for the vacation destination, the price seemed fair and the rooms looked fun, like sleeping in a manor. It turns out... it used to be an actual manor. Only on the day of arrival had I read the "fine print" regarding parking (my own fault, it's clearly written on the listing, so it's completely on me), called the property and the proprietor patiently explained that they do offer a few parking spaces directly at the property and we can park here, as there is enough space and proceeded to explain how to get there in detail. The rooms were charming, plenty of space to put down luggage and relax, a nice view on the mountains. The breakfast selection was very nice and i very much enjoyed the scrambled eggs and bacon! A very lovely place! Will definitely visit again if i have the opportunity.

The castle atmosphere in the room, the very new bathroom and the high cleanliness in the whole place. The staff was also super friendly and breakfast was very tasty.

The pillows could have been bigger / more comfortable, at least for me and the walls are quite thin. We could hear how the the guests next room talk quite clear but it was not a problem for the night since people get generally very early to bed there (mostly hikers or couples enjoying the slow, silent time in the nature) and around 22h it was complete silence.

Very unique and interesting hotel!! Staff are lovely and the food - wow!!! Delicious!! We had the set menu and it was so homemade - 'like your granny used to make' .Such value for money too!! The young man that checked us in and then waited on us was so great!!! Nothing was too much trouble!! Rooms were huge,showers hot and beds comfortable!! Plus super value for money,in the centre of town!! We will definitely stay again!!

Strategic place in Rio di Pusteria a superb clean town. Friendly staffs at front desk offers buffet bfast at 7 eur per person. The room feels majestic, and has all equipments needed. Will visit again!

Parking garage is quite tight but its freeeee so i love it

The staffs are really friendly. I was really thankful that they patiently waited and allowed us to check-in so late cause we had some trouble in the road. The breakfast is also good and cheap, worth the price for a buffet!

The owner of the hotel was super nice. He made accommodations to pre-prepare breakfast as we had to leave early. the next morning. He was very generous and friendly. The historic nature of the hotel made for a unique experience and despite it's age, the hotel facilities were in excellent condition.

Convenient location (nice places around to have a morning coffee), spacious room. We were late with arrival, they let us in after the check-in time (around 23:30).

We were not allowed to keep our expensive bikes in the room. The hotel is rather old, breakfast not too impressive (but a good pasticceria is close).

We had a very nice and comfortable room with a super new bathroom and view of the main square. The building is amazing, like living in a museum. The breakfast was great, but the highlight of our stay was enjoying a generous pour of eiswein in front of the stove in the bar/reception. The owner made us feel really at home! We would love to come back.

Romantic decoration and a perfect unexpected breakfast.

Needs a revamp on communal areas and rooms needs upgrading in their furnitures and an option for a fan or install AC on rooms.

Very big and spacious room, beautiful view from the room, nice pool, the owner was always helpful and ready to anwser our questions, gave all the information needed. My child left his sleeping toy in the room and the owner has sent it back to our home 🙂
