Excellent Italian breakfast. Beautiful grounds, building, surroundings and pool and outside dining area all excellent. Staff were lovely.

The lighting in the dining room in the evenings was WAY too bright. The dining room was not very atmospheric. No candles, etc, which spoils the dining experience We stayed for a week and, although the food was excellent, the menu didn't change during our stay, so we were bored with the food and didn't like the dining room ambience in any case. The bar area is beautiful, but there were not enough staff, seating areas to enjoy it fully. The lunch options were meagre and not much choice. The hotel needs to do more on the food front. It is in a beautiful, quiet location and needs to provide a wider choice of food and drink.

SS is perfect. The grounds are perfectly kept with beautiful planting and well-thought landscape layout. The property retains its' ancient charm but the facilities and rooms are modern and rooms are attractively decorated. Staff are so helpful and friendly - they make this place feel more homely. The food! wow. Our dinners were to die for! Amazing flavours. 15 mins from Ostuni old town and right next door to Carovigno, well located for Cisternino, Martina Franca and Locorontondo etc. Need a car but they do provide a taxi into Ostuni.

For us, the bar area could be manned more consistently but we guesses that not many guests come here for that kind of thing. But the place is perfect.

The Masseria was beautifuly located within the Olive Yards of Puglia, near Carovigno and Ostuni. The rooms are very nicely kept in a chick retro style. The food Restaurant serves is very good and they are generous with the portions. We had a full 5 course Menu for the Silvester dinner. What was really great was, that they could adapt easily to our dietary needs. There is a special mention that the Staff was super nice and very helpful. Don’t forget to roam around the Limetree Gardens and under the Olive trees to have a unforgetable experience.

The rooms miss a floor heating and they are not well isolated from the outside temperatures. All the doors of the Hotel, Lobby area, dinner area, let a small draft of air from the outside in. Before Checkout, we also had some issues with the Water, as they were doing maintenance work on their water supply just at the time that we wanted to shower.

A beautiful property skillfully created from an ancient massaria. Decor was upmarket Italian design with a pretty seating area in the main building and a particularly lovely and spacious bedroom with a very well designed bathroom. Super bathroom products and a really good espresso machine completed the well thought out extras. The on site restaurant was well priced & very good . Although it was too cold for us to sit outside their pretty well planted patios are furnished with very comfortable looking furniture. There’s plenty of secure private parking on site. A special mention goes out for the 2 reception ladies and young man who looked after us in the restaurant - all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you!

We liked everything!

Everything about Masseria Santo Scalone exceeded our expectations. The main building (built in the 1300's) maintains its original stone vaulted ceilings, but has been updated with comfortable modern touches. The grounds, include ancient olive trees, lemon and fig trees, meandering stone pathways and an elegant infinity-edge swimming pool, which add to the beauty and tranquility of the property. The food was outstanding, too. We had most of our meals there and were never disappointed. What's more, everyone who works here is incredibly gracious and welcoming.

There is nothing we didn't like about this property.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left our experience was exactly what we needed. We were greeted by a great team who took exceptional care of us, giving us a tour, telling us the history of the properly and providing a very welcome complimentary drink. The entire property was absolutely beautiful! Our room was exceptional! The location to Ostuni was perfect! This Masseria Santo Scalone was fantastic and I would return again in an instant.

There really wasn't anything to not like. I will say that the shower in room 3 tends to kind of overflow onto the floor but it really wasn't an issue and didn't interfere with our overall happiness of the facility.

The place is amazing, ALL NEW, just opened in may, newly decorated old Masseria, very good taste. Furniture is impecable and high quality.The breakfast is excelent. The pool is lovely and has great pool beds with ubrellas. Its a beautiful place. Beds are very confortable, rooms are amazing.

The staff, they are rude, not very helpfull. The chef and some of the waiters of the restaurant are super nice. But other ones are not nice and dont know how to treat people. The wifi broke and they dint fix it for 4 days (so we only had it the last night). The AC on my room leaked and had had this very bad smell and they didnt fix it or did anything about it. They have to work on the customer service, because the place is super nice and its a shame.

I cannot rate Masseria Santo Scalone high enough. This place is a dream come true. We spent eight days in late May there, and everything was beyond perfect. Flavia welcomed us and made us feel at home from day one. She organized everything so that we would immediately settle in, and I cannot thank her enough for everything she did for us. The Masseria itself is beautiful, and it seems they thought about every detail. The gardens are gorgeous, and the swimming pool area is enticing and very restful. There are flowers everywhere, and the Masseria smells like heaven. The rooms are super spacious and comfortable, and the decoration elegant and trendy. The food is delicious, the breakfast is a feast with local delicacies, and the restaurant staff is superb. Luca prepares the best drinks you can get in Puglia, and he is always available, friendly, and helpful. His welcoming smile would brighten our mornings, and we were very grateful for all the local tips he shared with us. Pietro was also extremely nice, attentive, and cordial. This was our first time here, and we can't wait to return! Thank you for the best holidays, Masseria Santo Scalone!

Nothing we didn't like, everything was perfect! If you are sensitive to light, you might want to bring a sleeping mask with you just in case you find the rooms too bright. The sun rises quite early over there.

The grounds of the Masseria are so chic and well maintained. The pool area is amazing, and we had some of our best meals at the hotel restaurant for both lunch and dinner. All of the staff were extremely kind and helpful. It’s also only a 15 minute drive to Ostuni so I would definitely recommend using this as a base to explore the rest of the region!

I wish the hotel bar was fully staffed so drinks could be made into the evening!

Photos don’t do this Masseria justice. From the moment you pass through the gates and travel down the driveway you are mesmerized by its beauty. The rooms are beautiful, the pool area amazing and the staff attentive. The location is perfect to explore nearby Ostini, monopoly and nearby beaches. Breakfast was a highlight and we enjoyed the restaurant and bar. We are definitely coming back.
