Great staff at reception & bar (we loved your non-alcoholic cocktails & enthusiasm!), very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in a beautiful setting, great views from our historic room, and delicious food (dinner+breakfast; we tried to copy your lettuce emulsion at home but failed completely...;))! We had a perfect stay.

I'm not a big fan of carpeting - without it the historic room we stayed in would have been even more enjoyable, at least to us. But this is a detail, everything else was just great.

I had the most incredible stay in a real castle, and it truly felt magical. The place was stunning, full of beauty and history it was simply perfect in every way. What made it even more special were the staff, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They even gave us a small tour, and you could really feel how much they care about their guests. This was without a doubt the most moving and unforgettable place I’ve ever stayed in.

Historic place with contemporary art. We stayed in the small, simple but comfortable rooms on the ground level that had an exceptional view of the valley below. Castle garden is a very nice place to relax. We enjoyed the dinner that is served to the guests.

The castle gate is narrow. If you have a car of a typical width, you should close the side mirrors, drive extremely slowly through the gate and you will be fine. Otherwise there is a parking place somewhat below the gate.

Was this place real? We happened upon this place while searching booking.com at the last minute when our hiking plans changed. Cristina was very communicative prior to our arrival. This place really is a sizable castle with an amazing view of the surroundings and with beautiful grounds. The restaurant is phenomenal and vegetarian! The breakfast is ample. The room itself is plain, but sufficient and amazingly quiet. I really wish we could have stayed longer at this place. It's a gem.

Nothing really. It is a very tight squeeze to get a car (especially a larger one) through the castle gate.

This was our favorite stay of our 10 day trip! The staff was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We arrived a little later in the day, and the host was very concerned about our dinner needs. She had tried to contact us about the need to make reservations for the onsite restaurant, but we were unavailable to receive her message. Town was just a 5 minute drive and there were plenty of options. The grounds and view of this castle hotel were breathtaking, and with the limited amount of guest rooms, the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. All areas were very clean. The breakfast was awesome, with so many options for all food and beverage preferences. The breakfast staff was in constant attendance and happy to offer to supply you with your favorite coffee drink.

The beds were a little firm. The wifi availability was limited to the "throne room", which was a large, relaxing area with several comfortable couches. We didn't find this any inconvenience, and along with no television added to the peaceful nature of the entire stay.

It’s a beautiful building in a fabulous setting . The food in the restaurant was exceptional . We have stayed here twice now and would stay again.

There is nothing not to like but we were not impressed with our fellow diners who despite being in a beautiful castle eating delicious food were more interested in their mobile phones than their environment ! Not the hotels fault !

The breakfast was fine, not great, but very well presented. The location is gorgeous, not close to any large centers, but that's part of the draw of staying there. The car must be pretty small or it won't fit into the castle parking area. Ours barely made it (a Citroen C4).

Everything was outstanding and magical!

Quit an amazing place. Well run, well maintained, well located. Plenty of interesting spots to visit in the vicinity but make sure you come by car. Lovely breakfast, very friendly and helpful stuff.

Wifi connection doesn´t work everywhere. Those thick walls were obviously made to protect you from the outside world in every imaginable and unimaginable way...

Staying in a castle was a fantastic experience and Cristina was exceptionally helpful.and full of enthusiasm. She has a supply of maps for walking in the area We chose a “modern”room because it was on the ground floor and we had a lot of luggage. As you would expect from a castle, there are steps everywhere. The room was very spacious with a beautiful view of the mountains.Large comfortable bed .The toilet and shower were built inside the room separated by opaque glass. The castle is open to the public (we didn’t see many visitors) and is a venue for art exhibits and concerts . There is a private garden for hotel guests which is very relaxing. The food at breakfast was superb and we decided to book a table for supper, which was delicious. All the staff were very pleasant.

No TV in the room!

I can't express enough, how grateful i am for all the help and information i received from the hotel manager Cristina. Besides great hospitality, i want to add, that my room and bathroom were perfectly clean, furniture was original from the 16th century, the bed was cozy and breakfast was delicios. The castle has a peaceful athmosphere, sometimes all you can hear, is the wind blowing. Inside central building, there is a beautiful garden with deck chairs. Free parking is also available inside castle walls. Thanks to my extraordinary first-time living experience, i can't wait to return to this part of Italy, full of cultural, historical and natural treasures.
