This was our FAVORITE place of all the places we stayed in Italy! We booked the room at the top with the open terrace. We were 3 people and the room as adequate, albeit small. But we didn't stay that much in the room, so it wasn't a big deal. The bed was super comfy, and the extra bed (shown in the hallway to the bathroom) was already made up! All the towels were monogrammed with the hotel name and very classy! The terrace access off the room was nice, but others can access the terrace from another door outside of the room. The view was awesome! A beautiful church across the street sang out her bells and it was magnificent! The parking was secure for our rental car and no extra charge. The morning breakfast was a real treat and fully stocked with everything you would want. They catered to my wife's vegan needs, too! The place was spotless and super clean. And the walkabouts were very nice! The nearby plaza was beaming with locals, and we felt like we were a part of the neighborhood. No real tourists in sight! We didn't eat at the hotel pizzeria, so we don't have an opinion. The evenings were cool (mid-June), and we were able to leave the windows open and open the louvers on the shutters. Everything locked up nicely (all doors and windows were brand new and high quality) so we felt safe. The refrigerator is small, but enough to keep water, beer and some food cold. The shower hot water was plenty and great showerhead! We would DEFINITELY stay again on our next Italian vacation. We booked this place so I could visit my ancestral town of Cittanova, just 15 minutes away. We then headed to Tropea for another five days (just a 70-minute drive, us a GPS!). Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Wish we could have stayed longer. The AC unit in the ceiling (almost an RV style) isn't fully adequate for the room size. Took too long to get the room cooled off. Otherwise, loved the place!!

It is a real nice place in a real nice town with real nice staff and people - fact! I’ll go there when I’m around the next time. Sure. Try the pizzeria inside the house - it is a real good one! Walk the city! Visit the Toromatto steakhouse of Polistena! Go there! Drive the hills, coasts and bendy roads all around the calabrian area! And go have a look at the Polistenas I Casolari - an excellent slow food boutique!

The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The size of the room and bathroom is very good. It is also very clean with fluffy white towels and crisp linen.

Although breakfast was well prepared and well presented, there was lack of fresh fruit. It was mostly based on sweet pastries. For a 4 star rating I expected to find a magnifying mirror in the bathroom and a welcome tray or at least an electric kettle in the room

Beautifully restored building and friendly, happy staff. Emanuela in the dining room was particularly lovely :) It’s one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in Italy! It was also walking distance to everything.

The bed was a little firm for my taste but I would absolutely stay here again.

10/10 hotel. The accomodation is an amazing historical house, which was renovated beautifully. The hospitality of all the staff and speciallt tje amazing Carmella was outstanding. They helped us with everything, and had great contribution to a perfect stay in Calabria. Tha k you very much!

All was good

We loved the apartment, it had plenty of space and the location was fantastic. So much character in the original building and everything you would expect for an Italian hotel. Breakfast was exceptional. The host Antonello made sure we were very happy and comfortable. We will be back!

Very kind and friendly staff. Super clean accommodation. There is a restaurant on the main floor and it was a bit loud in our room on one of the nights but this wouldn’t prevent us from staying here again.

It was off the beaten track but very worth the detour. Very nice decor and presentation, friendly helpful staff, great breakfast. Well appointed and comfortable room. Good restaurant right next door.

We liked everything about the hotel!

Just top shelf on every single level .. staff and owner were very nice and helpful....hotel was right in the downtown with short walk to everything.... beautiful place and highly recommend
