Nico was extremely kind and helpful! He was very patient with me and my minimal Italian. He checked in on me several times to see if I needed anything. He brought delicious cornetto for breakfast. The apartment was beautiful. There was an amazing attention to detail in the furnishings and having things available that a traveler would need and appreciate. Sambuca is beautiful. A true gem. I came to see where my great grandmother came from before she moved with her family to the US and I came away with more understanding of this place and just how special it is. I will definitely be back and I will recommend AL-Zabut to my family and friends.

Nino was amazing. Before we even arrived, he made sure that we knew how to get there because often Google can be misleading (in Sicily). We didn't have to second guess directions! Every morning he brought us delicious croissants filled with cream (our choosing). We weren't expecting a kitchen, but there was one provided. It was well equipped with all the things you might need to make a full meal: pots and pans, plates, cups, wine glasses, tumblers, mixing spoons, wine openers. In renovating the apartment, Nino and Francesca thought of everything. We had forgotten an item at the place and they made sure that we got it back. The region where Al-Zabut is located is beautiful, there are plenty of things to see, but really Sambuca deserves its own deep exploration. It has deep traditions of art and artisanship. We stopped by Casa dell' Arte, as well as a metalsmith shop where the artist makes large art and it is displayed throughout the town. Many fabulous restaurants, and it is located in the middle of wine country (Menfi). It was an enchanting weekend and can't wait to go back.

Location was excellent, safe and clean.

Nothing, place was super super clean, great attention to detail and cannot say enough about the owner Nino, just a wonderful caring person.

This was a great location (very quiet at night) and the owners have included so many thoughtful touches. There was an unusually severe thunderstorm one night during our stay that actually shattered two windows. Nino and Francesca were on the scene immediately to mop up the rain water, and they had the windows repaired by the next morning.

For early morning showering at this time of year, the water heater setting could have been a little warmer.

Attention to detail, exquisite furnishings, clean and fresh. Kitchen located on the ground floor with very good facilities. Nino arrives each morning just before eight o’clock with fresh croissants beautifully wrapped, everything else is already there. There are a few steps (immaculate tiling) to arrive at the the rest of the accommodation above. Bathroom very good, comfortable bedroom with small balcony and delightful lounge area. Francesca and Nino excellent hosts, threw us in their car and insisted on driving us to a restaurant when we first arrived. And yes the food was good.

The apartment was filled with lovely touches. The hosts were delightful and always on hand fro help if needed. I felt very welcome. The location was special, being in the old town near a beautiful viewing point.

There is nothing I didn’t like.

Excellent breakfast! We got fresh pastries and orange juice every day. There was plenty of coffee, jam, yoghurt, fruit, etc. Toaster and bread were also provided.

Absolutely everything. The ambience, setting, simply perfect.
