When you have a car it probably can not get better than this. A luxury home. A very attentive host. Much space. Much wow.

Lack of specified facilities - no tea/coffee maker, no washing machine, no iron, no fridge, no sea view, which were the criteria that I had prioritised before booking. Before we had even been shown our room, our host asked for payment, saying that he didn’t take cards, so had to be cash. So, after an exhausting 9 hour drive, we had to leave again to find a cash point - several miles away, along with any other amenities - and withdraw euros. No real problem, and we were back in our room by 4pm, so he could have asked for payment at any point from then on that day, and he was on site. Then realised we hadn’t been given a WiFi code, so messaged the host. A couple of hours later he knocked on the door with the code, but didn’t mention payment, and we assumed we would make it after breakfast the next morning before we left….. But no, at 6am we were woken by him banging on the door, turning the lights on in the apartment, and shouting our names, demanding payment as he had to go to work - no apology at all!! And when we left, unsurprisingly at the unexpectedly early hour of 8am, his partner/family member was on site, so why on earth could we not have paid her at the prearranged breakfast time of 9am?? Whilst this is a beautiful house, we have no idea if the gym, hot tub etc existed, as we weren’t shown them, and didn’t want to walk around opening doors/being nosy, as the host lives on site. Perhaps it was partially the language barrier, but we felt very unwelcome, and were overall exceedingly disappointed with our stay.
